Congressman Randy Fine (FL-06) became the source of heated criticism when he said Saturday on social media, “If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one.”[snip] The comment is pretty eye-opening when taken out of context — but it becomes more understandable when you realize he was reacting to a dog-hating tweet by a pro-Palestinian activist named Nerdeen Kiswani[snip]Fine's guest to Trump's primetime address will be his father, Alan Fine, along with his father's seeing-eye service dog, Sadie.

We focus a lot on the various forces of Islamic terrorism around the world, and that's justified; there are far too many jihadi goblins out there. But once in a while we are reminded that we have our own, home-grown nutjobs, too. One such is one Dawson Noah Maloney, who sent himself to his own just desserts after an aborted attack on a Las Vegas-area power substation.(snip) Oddly, the attempted attack was allegedly carried out by someone who had driven all the way from New York, which is curious in itself. Why come all that way? Why Las Vegas?

Last month, the Colorado Court of Appeals heard the appeal of 70-year-old former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters. Peters is serving over 9 years following her August 2024 conviction at La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo, Colorado.(snip)On Wednesday, Peters was denied bond by the very same court. In Colorado, a defendant has 49 days to seek review of a decision denying bond from a district court.(snip) According to her counsel’s arguments last month, Peters is being held among “murderers, child molesters, and drug dealers” in Colorado prison because Colorado only ha as four minimum security facilities and all four are exclusively for men.

On Friday, President Trump spoke to the White House press corps about the Supreme Court's tariff decision, the dissents, and what tools are still available for the Executive Branch to impose tariffs and other trade restrictions on foreign countries.(snip) President Trump notes that the Court's decision leaves several other avenues for the imposition of tariffs, some of which are already in progress.(snip) "The good news is that there are methods, practices, statutes and authorities as recognized by the entire court... that are even stronger than the IEEPA tariffs available to me as President of the United States."

President Donald Trump came out to speak to the press from the White House on Friday to express his feelings on the Supreme Court's Decision to rule against his broad tariffs, which he imposed through a series of executive orders last year, under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). He began by saying the ruling was "deeply disappointing," and that he was "ashamed of certain members of the court — absolutely ashamed for not having the courage to do what's right for our country."
The president also thanked Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito

A fierce Washington, DC, grandmother stole the show at President Trump’s Black History Month celebration, defending him against charges of racism.
Forlesia Cook, whose grandson was killed in a 2017 shooting, took to the stage to praise Trump’s tough stance on crime and fired back at those who would criticize his treatment of black Americans. “I love him. I don’t want to hear nothing you got to say about that racist stuff,” she said.(snip)Get off the man’s back. Let him do his job. He’s doing the right thing. Back off him.(snip)The crowd in the East Room of the White House went wild, applauding and cheering her. Trump expressed his gratitude

WASHINGTON — The powerful House Oversight Committee is investigating a sadistic, nihilistic terror cult known as “764” that preys on minors and coerces them into sex acts, self-harm, animal torture, and other vile actions.
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Subcommittee on Federal and Government Reform Law Enforcement Chair Clay Higgins (R-La.) demanded Tuesday that the FBI give lawmakers a briefing on its efforts to undermine 764. “Reporting indicates the FBI has opened more than 250 investigations tied to the group, which preys on children and teenagers on popular online platforms,” Commer and Higgins told FBI Director Kash Patel in a letter obtained by The Post.

The Florida state House of Representatives passed a bill Tuesday afternoon that seeks to rename the Palm Beach County International Airport after President Donald Trump as a companion bill makes its way through the state Senate. The legislation passed the Republican-led House in an 81-30 split, according to the Florida Phoenix. The renaming effort, if passed by both chambers and signed by Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, could cost as much as $5.5 million.Republicans in the state's lower chamber said the renaming is to honor Trump's impact on Palm Beach, which has gained prominence because it's the location of the president's Mar-a-Lago resort.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me: As he died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,– Julia Ward Howe, Battle Hymn of the Republic
The anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday was February 12. Since we now celebrate Presidents’ Day in memory of all our deceased presidents, Americans did not pause for a moment to remember Lincoln. This is very sad, given what Lincoln said that nullifies our contemporary outpouring of anti-White racism.

We are becoming gutless and uninspired.(Snip)How did we get to such a sickening array of missteps and confused values? To understand this quality-of-life decline, we must turn our historical telescope back in time to the early twentieth century, and in particular to the administration of Pres. Woodrow Wilson. During his administration, we see the passage of a federal income tax amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank, and the passage of the Clayton Antitrust Act (I almost typed “Antitruth Act”).The income tax became a giant step toward socialism

Kathy Ruemmler, Goldman Sachs' top attorney, is leaving due to her ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the late New York financier and convicted child predator, who was found dead in his cell in August 2019. Numerous files and communications related to this man have been released. This development is unwelcome, especially to Democrats, who were hoping to find incriminating evidence to use against Donald Trump. However, these emails have mostly cast Democrats and their allies in a negative light, with Ruemmler being the latest example.

Good girl, Sadie. You will be representing canine family members from across the nation. No doubt you will do it with more dignity than your critics.
