Congressman Randy Fine (FL-06) became the source of heated criticism when he said Saturday on social media, “If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one.”[snip] The comment is pretty eye-opening when taken out of context — but it becomes more understandable when you realize he was reacting to a dog-hating tweet by a pro-Palestinian activist named Nerdeen Kiswani[snip]Fine's guest to Trump's primetime address will be his father, Alan Fine, along with his father's seeing-eye service dog, Sadie.

Comments:

Good girl, Sadie. You will be representing canine family members from across the nation. No doubt you will do it with more dignity than your critics.

AFAIC, Islam is anathema to the American way of life. I don't consider dogs to be unclean, but as barbarous as Muslims are, I consider them unclean. I'm all for them practicing their "religion", just not on American soil.

Kill somebody's hunting dog here in Georgia and the weight of the buckshot will just make your body easier to sink in a nearby lake.

The conditional "pretty eye-opening when taken out of context" is ridiculous. The "context" is staring at us through several hundred years of history and barbarism, and the fact that the cult is terminally stuck in the 7th century - to the point where it is incompatible with virtually every culture on the face of the planet, yet wants to rule them all..

There is nothing as refreshing as an honest congressman. Fine's choice would be the choice of most Americans. Interesting story, #3. I once knew a lady from Georgia whose dog jumped off the dock on a lake and a Gator, protected at the time, was shot with a deer rifle when it came after the dog. She called it lead poisoning.

I have no problem with Randy Fine but could we please not cheapen our State of the Union address with juvenile PR stunts? It’s embarrassing enough for the country to deal with the performative BS the Democrats pull.

According to reports, more than 70 Democrats chose not to attend the speech, but most did, and several times over the course of the evening, they made a choice. They sat. They scowled. They heckled. While Republicans rose time and again in applause, the left side of the chamber looked like a group of children being punished. And Trump noticed. It’s no secret that in today’s Hollywood, artistic risk-taking often comes second to woke ideological conformity. Censorship, virtue signaling, and overprescribed outrage have become show-business-as-usual. Studios trip over themselves to inject far-left political messaging into nearly every script, award shows have become lectures, and entire careers can be derailed by a single viral moment that stokes a campaign of indignation. The industry’s obsession has created a climate where self-censorship is the norm and challenging the narrative is a career hazard.
