Mayor Bass Calls For Resignation Of 2028
Olympics Chairman Over Epstein Emails

Original Article

The Epstein files have rocked the LA 2028 Olympics (LA28). Fresh documents from the Department of Justice's massive release of Jeffrey Epstein files have thrust the chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizing committee into the center of a growing scandal prompting Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to publicly call for his resignation. (snip) No allegations of wrongdoing have been leveled against Wasserman in connection with Epstein or Maxwell's crimes. (snip) Wasserman has been central to the LA Olympics effort since the successful 2015 bid.

Comments:

On one hand we have a man who exchanged racy emails with another adult over a quarter of a century ago. On the other we have a woman who, back in the day, provided material support to a brutal Communist dictatorship (leading Venceremos Brigade delegations to Cuba to harvest sugarcane) and, more recently, delivered a treacly eulogy of Cuba's murderous dictator on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. If I were Mr. Wasserman my response to Ms. Bass would be: After you! What's scandalous here is that too many deny that Ms. Bass's record of Communist fellow-traveling is scandalous.

FTA: "Governor Gavin Newsom, who along with Bass holds significant sway over state support for the 2028 Games, has not yet commented publicly on the matter." Newsom may not be good, but he's shrewd. He may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but he's far brighter than Bass.

This reform, framed by supporters as a consolidation of financial operations to address the city's budget crisis, comes just weeks after Controller Kenneth Meija's office played a significant role in exposing a $23 million homeless fraud scheme (snip)
