As Minnesota finally moves to rein in an autism services program beset by accusations of fraud, lawmakers learned that nearly no one is rushing to comply. (snip) out of roughly 500 autism service providers billing Medicaid under the Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) program, only six have applied for licensure (snip) providers must apply by May 31, disclose ownership, pass background checks, verify staff qualifications and demonstrate billing and documentation practices. Providers who fail to apply "will no longer be allowed to operate."

And don't let them take stolen money with them - that what's not already shipped out in suitcases on commercial jet flight to their war lords/tribes.

Those numbers speak volumes. Close to 100% cannot meet the qualifications. So no more big bucks being passed around. How will they survive? I guess it's a CYA on their part. If they don't reapply maybe they will escape this whole fraud situation. Get these guys. No citizenship and deport them back to the black hole of Somalia and take Omar with you.

OP has an excellent point. Even with pathetically low requirements, 99% of these folks just ran to hide. 6 out of 500 is 1.2%.
My bet is that this means that 98.8% of all funds "spent on autism" were just stolen.
And, of course, it's a good bet that almost all of the fraudsters are Somali pirates.
How many of these fraudsters will be required to repay even a fraction of what the stole?
Will even one of the criminals go to prison?

Sounds like somebody needs to get to work. That’s 494 businesses that need to be thoroughly investigated. And severe consequences meted out.

Keep in mind that the 6 that have reapplied are not necessarily run by Somalis.

I heard Dr. Oz say they are not pursuing persecutions, just withholding funds until the states decide to put in processes to prevent fraud. Don't they realize the fraudsters are these states? They're not complying or applying because they are fraudsters! I keep coming to this conclusion that taxpayers deserve a hefty tax cut. The amount of money we're taking in that goes to waste, fraud, and abuse should cut the federal budget 1/2 to 2/3. I'm convinced these programs were set up to fund the left, not to help people.

500 autism clinics in the state of Minnesota? That's a red flag there alone.

And #8, I'll bet a buck that the vast majority of those ''providers'' are in blue counties of that crooked state.

Autism has not increased but the fraud certainly has. This is a nationwide problem.

It appears foreign countries may have learned that the democrat party is lousy at managing money. That's why they are always raising taxes on their constituents. So they get their people in our country, like Somalians, to set up dummy fraud businesses in blue city/states because they know they can get away with it.

How many of these fraudsters are living overseas? Welcome to the USA ATM - no surcharges for your withdrawals of US tax dollars. Ain't America Great? /sarc

Democrats create and backstop the 'Culture of Corruption'. Almost every story about fraud and embezzlement of public funds is a Democrat or adjacent individual. Also all of the NGO's and Act blue who recycle the money to elect the folks who keep their gravy train running. Definitely a criminal enterprise run as a political party.

It is possible that what Somalians treat as autism is imported congenital low IQ.

Why do we have "Autism Providers"?
I thought autism was kind of a bad thing?
Shouldn't there be Autism Fighters instead?

Maybe President Trump is right when he said they could probably balance the budget by just removing all of this fraud.
Remember too, they get increased funding each year when they have the continuing resolutions (CR's) which is likely why it wasn't discovered sooner.
Now that they've passed nearly every appropriations bill they don't need CR's any longer.
It's hard not to believe the Democrats saw a lot of $$$ contributions and simply believed those folks were just very generous and enthusiastic supporters.

Statutory requirements for autism "providers" remain shockingly low: Providers must be over the age of 18, fluent in a second language, and have completed some online training, No medical degree or healthcare education are required. Basically the new licensure requirements only require these providers to demonstrate that they run actual businesses. It is telling that only six of the 500 providers were willing to comply with even these minimum requirements.
