Even more surprising than the blockbuster 4.3% economic growth rate recorded in the third quarter of 2025 was the fact that some 90% of the nation’s professional economists got it all wrong.
These economic whiz-kids’ faulty forecast comes on the heels of their predictions last week that inflation was going to be above 3%. Instead, the actual number was 2.7%.
Welcome to the gang that can’t shoot straight.
Maybe it’s time for this cadre of Keynesian economists to send their PhDs back to the Ivy League schools they got them from, and just admit they have no idea what they’re talking about.

It's because they want the economy to be bad, if only to hurt Trump.

Because in owning the MSM they believe they will not get called on for their public opinions. And because they hate Trump so badly, they would sooner sing the Lord's Prayer backwards and kneel to Satan than give DJT credit. And why when faced with a MAGA supporter they go absolutely bonkers as was done to that poor (now less so) clerk at Target. Jesus supped with sinners but the Pharisees loudly whined about it - OUTSIDE.

Has Krugman EVER been right? I guess maybe once 35 years ago.
The wrong-headed pronouncements they make are only a wish list. Most certainly they are not well thought out and reasoned judgements. Wanting something does not make it so, a lesson most third grader get...

It's not that they got it wrong, they wanted to get it wrong.

Economists are part of the expert class that has been doing face plants in so many areas. They are part of so many that have been educated in failing universities that focus more on ideology instead of actual education. In addition, these experts have all the fancy computer toys that let them crank out models that support their ideology.
The problem is, garbage in, garbage out. It was coined about computers but it applies to ideology as well. In the case of the experts, they begin with an expected ending per their ideology. Then they cleverly torture the data to make the numbers come out the way they expect. Then they offer each other self congratulatory kudos. Then they make decisions based on their bad models, which, in themselves, CAUSE the outcomes they expect.
An example of this is the FED stubbornly keeping interest rates high. A recovering economy NEEDS capital for growth. High interest rates strangle access to money and growth. And there is an enormous difference between the government spending money it doesn't have and business spending money it doesn't have. Government doesn't produce anything for profit to earn money. Business does. While business might see costs rise, they can recover that through efficiency gains and sales volume increases that counter inflationary pressures. Over a couple years, profits fuel growth and the need for borrowing relaxes, also reducing inflationary pressures. However, you have to PRIME THE PUMP. And, you may have to tolerate a bit of inflation to get things going.
All the above is basic functioning of economies. You can generate computer models that deny it but it has proven to be true over centuries.
One of the challenges to successful businesses is the failure of our educational system. If businesses were smart, they would pool resources to start up technical education centers that are laser focused on producing people who can make products. Right now, these companies endow existing failed universities and their money is wasted. They should build the schools they need and we should discard the old guard schools that produce liberal dopes. The new schools should only focus on preparation for careers in companies that focus on making great products, not social engineering.
Trump's success is based on solid understanding of how our economy works. He KNOWS what works. He knows WHY it works. He doesn't need biased and broken models to support him. He knows that if the government creates conditions favorable to business, mostly by getting out of the way, businesses will have the ability to thrive. Stupid companies will still stumble or fail but the odds shift to favor the smart, hard working companies. Trump gets the government off the backs of business. It works.

TDS guides their minds. If they were not publishing false and biased opinions they would be outside screaming. Neither of those activities is very dignified.

Somebody should investigate the pundits and tell us how well they are doing in Trump's terrible economy. I'm willing to bet 99% of them are doing better than the average American.
Il-hag Omar's husband's business went from nothing to great wealth in about a year, so she's not doing too bad. Ask congress critters making bank how the economy is working out for them as well.

There used to be a website called the Krugman Truth Squad. Krugman's biweekly column used to be posted on the net at midnight. Two hours before the paper copy hit the curb they studied it, dissected it, wrote a rebuttal and posted it back on the net. The expected life of his lies used to be minus two hours.

I believe it's because they are fundamentally Communists who have been indoctrinated by other Communists to believe that only a Government-controlled system will work. The concept that independent individuals can come up with an idea, then work hard and succeed in making it work is just.... against their religion.
As Communist Control Freaks, they just HATE individual entrepreneurs.... and Trump personifies everything that they are against.... Individual thinking, excellence, hard work and drive resulting in success.
As an example, check out the story behind "Raisin' Canes" chicken restaurants.
When the man who started it proposed the idea as a student in an LSU economics class, he got the lowest grade of anyone in the class. The Economics Professor told him it would never work.
But this guy -turned down by the banks for startup money- worked his ass off, earned the money himself, and founded the business.
.... and now there are over FIVE HUNDRED locations!

Thanks for the link, #17. What a story. That guy doesn't strike me as the kind who would go around saying, "WE have Brokkobommah".
