The Democratic Party’s principal fundraising committee saw donations slump in the second-to-last month of the year, recording just a $12 million campaign war chest and almost $16 million still in debt due to a loan taken out the previous month, Federal Election Commission filings show. The fundraising doldrums come amid party infighting over whether to release a 2024 autopsy report on the failed Biden-Harris campaign and pressure ahead of the critical 2026 midterms, in which Democrats want to retake Congress. The Democratic National Committee listed a little more than $12.6 million cash on hand, $10.7 million raised,

I wonder if this is because Trump shut down the USAID slush fund that was kicking back money to the democrats or possibly because the Trump administration started investigating Act Blue and their nefarious activities. Either way it's a win for Trump.

I agree. Trump has cut into dem sneaky payments to NGOs that flow back to dems and are untraceable and unaccountable. And dem illegal activities are no longer protected. With dem popularity circling the bowl and their media collapsing they have no way to build up cash. The midterms are going to be interesting.

All you had to do was watch news now and then during the campaign. Everywhere Trump went, there were huge crowds and if the venue was big enough, tens of thousands. How many showed up for Harris? On a good day, a couple of hundred. We really didn't need polls.

Any bank that would "loan" money to the DNC, was in reality bribing them in hopes of gaining something when they won.

Everyone above kinda beat me to it. My first thought at reading the excerpt on the front page was: "If DOGE hadn't figured out what was going on, and Trump hadn't shut down most of the USAID cash flow, the DNC could easily have made up for their $16,000,000 debt in one afternoon of stealing from the taxpayers as they usually do. Don't get all excited. That 'Drowning' claim is from the Pubbies trying to make the 'Rats look bad. In their world, $16M is not all that much. Read the article.... the 'Rats have $12.6M on hand and $16M in debts, so more like $4M in debt..... but in October they raised $23M. So, they're in the hole at the moment, but Soros & Co. can bail 'em out in a heartbeat. By election time, they'll be flush with cash, and spending it like 8th-grade girls with Daddy's credit card.

A key GOP senator is expressing optimism that Republicans and Democrats will agree to a deal that would extend expiring health care subsidies, but the effort faces an uphill climb in winning the backing of leaders in both parties. Without a deal, health insurance premiums are projected to spike by double digits next month, yet Senate leaders John Thune (R-S.D.) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) each have reasons to shy away from backing a bipartisan deal. At the same time, failure to pass a bipartisan deal to rein in rising premiums could set the stage for another government -

The US Department of State, under the direction of Marco Rubio, has taken a rare and decisive step against European political figures accused of acting against American interests, barring several prominent individuals who’ve sought to censor free and open dialogue on American platforms. The bold move signals a sharp and definitive break from years of deference—and even subservience—to Brussels’ ever-increasing, draconian regulatory ambitions. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rightly framed the action as a defense of American free speech against what he described as organized, ideological pressure from abroad.
