WASHINGTON — For Christmas, former President Joe Biden gave everyone scrolling through X something to talk about by sharing a strange family photo — with himself hardly visible. Biden, 83, shared the image of himself and seven members of his family around 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, writing: “Wishing you a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve filled with love.” Surprisingly, the gaffe-prone 46th president wasn’t front and center, as is common for family patriarchs. Instead, former first son Hunter Biden, who once used the Secret Service code name “Chieftain,” and his adult daughter Maisy occupy the prime location. Many of us have been asking "Where's Joe?" for years. Why should Christmas Eve 2025 be any different? He should consider himself lucky that nurse jill saw fit to include him. Notice how bleak this photo seems? Almost funereal. Everyone seems to be dressed in black and Christmas decorations are mostly missing. Their home looks neither festive, welcoming or warm. Have their finances taken that much of a hit? Unfortunately poor Hunter has no more influence to peddle.

This "family portrait" is a study in cruelty. Whether his image was Photoshopped or he was propped up enough to stand, it's clear he is too far gone to understand the magnitude of the insult being perpetrated upon him. Hunter and "Dr." Jill no longer have to conceal the disdain they have held for him. He is no longer useful to them.

Arizona state Senator Janae Shamp is advancing legislation that would require Arizona to commission a formal study of “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” arguing that the phenomenon constitutes a legitimate mental health condition. Senate Bill 1070, if passed, would direct the Arizona Department of Health Services to conduct or support research to “advance the understanding of Trump Derangement Syndrome, including its origins, manifestations and long-term effects on individuals, communities and public discourse.” The text of the bill reads, the Arizona state "legislature finds that: The United States thrives on liberty, opportunity and civil discourse, yet extreme political polarization has fractured national unity, threatening the democratic values cherished by Arizonans."

It was not the best of Christmas seasons for Gen. George Patton in December of 1944. Yes, the general’s Third Army was marching through Europe toward Berlin. Yes, the Nazis were less than a year away from defeat. So, too, were the Japanese. But as Patton’s tank division approached Bastogne, a southern Belgium stronghold occupied by 15,000 U.S. troops and besieged by 50,000 German troops encircling it, he had a problem. Rain. Lots of it. “There is about four inches of liquid mud over everything,” Patton told his wife in a letter, “and it rains all the time, not hard but steadily.” What’s worse, he didn’t have the air cover

We should have free health care. Just like Canada. This ‘free health care’ comes with a 3 month wait time for a referral to a specialist, and another 3 months to get treated, with 2 month wait times for a CT scan, 4 months for an MRI and over a month for an ultrasound. Mostly it’s just easier not to bother. Half a million Canadians left ERs without seeing a doctor. And, in one year, over 23,000 patients died waiting for surgery. While it may take months to see a specialist, “the median wait time between first request and referral was 1 day” for Canada’s free death health care
