Both the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) have been under threat as the budget impasse in Congress continues. SNAP was slated for suspension on Nov. 1 when the federal SNAP funding mechanism ran out. An appropriation bill must be passed to fund it.

Days after the fantastically wealthy Newsom — whose 2028 presidential campaign is all but officially announced — tried to invent a “poorigin story” in which the insanely privileged youth pretended to be a fatherless kid who was “hustlin'” to make it while eating Wonder Bread and Kraft Easy Mac during a podcast interview, Newsom decided to criticize President Donald Trump for hosting a “Great Gatsby party” at his own estate while the shutdown created a lapse in food stamp benefits.

If you created a list of the worst people in public life during modern American history, John Brennan would be near the top. As CIA Director, the (allegedly) former Communist betrayed the American people to a greater degree than any other public employee I can think of. On Thursday, Brennan participated in some sort of conference, during which he was questioned by a guy who was in the office of the Director of National Intelligence and was involved in the intelligence work surrounding purported “Russian influence” in the 2020 election. The questioner didn’t get far, as Brennan just kept saying “bullshit,” even though what the questioner said was correct.

For Hamas, US President Donald J. Trump's peace plan, announced in early October, is evidently nothing but a temporary ceasefire, or hudna, that should be exploited to ensure that the terror group, with the help of Qatar and Turkey, expands its political and military control over the Gaza Strip. The terror group, however, has not been facing any difficulty in hunting down Palestinians suspected of "collaboration" with Israel or those who dared to criticize Hamas during the war. Hamas, in addition, is not in a hurry because it has a serious problem with phase two of the Trump plan, which requires the terror group to lay down and decommission its weapons.

John Fetterman told CNN's "State of the Union" this morning that Democrats should immediately vote to reopen the government and avoid cuts to food stamps, Obamacare subsidies, and airport security.
