President Donald Trump publicly endorsed Andrew Cuomo on Monday while threatening to withhold federal funding from New York City if Zohran Mamdani, who he labeled a "Communist", wins the mayoral election. In a lengthy post on Truth Social, he warned that the city would face "total economic and social disaster" under Mamdani’s leadership. "If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance

Prominent Jewish actors and media personalities have unabashedly endorsed Mamdani. This week, a campaign video produced in partnership with the organization "Jews for Racial and Economic Justice" was released, which includes four self-described rabbis expressing open support for Mamdani." Two of the candidates are not competent to run a city. The gop candidate is a nice guy with a good heart, ask his 11 cats, but not a mayor. Cuomo with all his personal baggage is the only logical choice. If elected let’s hope he uses the opportunity to redeem himself.

Trump #45 did away with the "State Income Tax Deduction" on Federal Income Taxes. That act alone caused an uproar among the Blue States, who love taxes, most notably, New "Yawwk."' The sinister part of that State Tax deduction is that we, who live in the South, and pay no State income tax, must shoulder more to make up what residents in Blue States avoid paying to the Federal. President Trump, please, do away with that State Income Tax deduction once again!

Sorry #8 but "Republican" Congresspeople like Mike Lawyer (NY-17) want the SALT deduction so they can get re-elected. Too bad Mike Lawler went after George Santos - a reliable NY Republican/Conservative/Trump voter. As for Cuomo - he was the one who started the no bail garbage. He was the one who placed covid sick in nursing homes because he refused to use the USN hospital ship, Mercy - as a place to put them or the full service field hospital set up by Samaritan's Purse. You know - screw Trump and Franklin Graham respectively - because... Cuomo had delusions of being President because the lame stream media fawned over him during Covid and his pathetic press conferences. No way as a Republican in NYC would I vote for Cuomo - yes, voting for Sliwa is probably a loser but really....

Trump should have backed Sliwa just to throw a monkey wrench into the whole fiasco. Given the choice between Cuomo and Mamdani I'm afraid I would stay home. One is a nut case slimeball who has failed once and Mamdani is a deluded kid who has promised us even worse.

Unfortunately Trump cannot withhold funding. Nixon tried it a long time ago. But . . . . Congress can and must include language in all funding laws that allows the President to revoke funding if certain conditions are not met. This is already a feature in most grant programs, but it needs to be expanded to empower the President in cases of city and state sanctuary policies, policies that attempt tp thwart enforcement of the law, shield aliens from being turned over to federal authorities, etc. Federal Judges need to be kept out of it, Congress must act.

Zohran Mamdani stunned the country with his win in the New York City mayoral race Tuesday night, defeating former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wasted no time mourning the election results. “Join me for a moment of silence for NYC,” Abbott wrote on X, just minutes after the race was called. He also offered “thoughts and prayers” with an emoji depicting hands in prayer. Mamdani is the city’s first Muslim and first South Asian to be elected mayor, and he will be the youngest mayor of New York City in more than a century when he takes office on Jan. 1.

Far-left Democrat Zohran Mamdani has won New York City’s mayoral race — winning a mandate to move to enact his budget-busting, socialist agenda, according to preliminary projections. The Associated Press called the race for Mamdani, 34, about 40 minutes after polls closed, and with at least a few hundred thousand votes still to be counted. Mamdani carried 50.4% of votes to Andrew Cuomo’s 41.3% at around 9:40 p.m. The projection — which came with 75% of votes counted — also found GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa with rock-bottom 7.5%. The Uganda-born Mamdani will be the Big Apple’s first Muslim and first socialist mayor, as well as one of the youngest.

British voters across the political spectrum are much more likely to hold strong views on immigration and even ethnic homogeneity than Americans, with 70 per cent of right-wing voters saying it’s bad for society “if white people decline as a share of the population”. Britons have long been considered to be comfortably to the left of their American cousins on practically all political matters. While this remains largely true, new research shows that Britons from both the left and right are considerably more forthright than their American counterparts on immigration policy questions.

WASHINGTON — Democrats are bracing for the possible retirement of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, one of the party’s most powerful, popular and effective leaders, who served as chief antagonist to President Donald Trump during his first term and has quietly counseled Democrats as they take on Trump in his second term. She is expected to make an announcement about her future after Tuesday’s elections, when voters will consider a ballot measure, known as “Proposition 50,” that would redraw the state’s congressional lines. Pelosi is a prominent proponent of the plan, which Democrats hope would net them several seats in next year’s midterm elections.
