ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Charlie Crist is mulling a potential run for St. Petersburg mayor, the former Florida governor and congressman confirmed on Wednesday.
Crist said he is “strongly considering” entering the race for mayor, a position which is currently held by Ken Welch.

The move would mark a return to politics for Crist, who resigned from his congressional seat and ran for Florida governor in 2022, losing to incumbent Gov. Ron DeSantis by 19 points. The next year, the Biden administration nominated him to the position of U.S. ambassador to the International Civil Aviation Organization,

I absolutely, positively understand why liberals dislike Donald Trump's policies. He is, after all, reversing so many of the policies they love, and they have every right to object to them.
But seriously, folks, get a grip. Donald Trump is not trying to be a king, and your biggest complaint is that he is actually enforcing immigration laws passed by Congress, which your preferred president did everything to subvert. The great martyr to freedom most celebrated by liberals in the media is a wife-beating human trafficker who may, or may not, be deported after a long, drawn-out legal process. Sure, there are clashes in the streets between ICE officers

Have you heard the news that Hamas has emerged from the tunnels and gone on a murder spree since the ceasefire took effect? Having withdrawn to the agreed perimeter, the IDF is not on hand to engage with Hamas. Instead, Hamas has donned its uniforms and seized on the opportunity to focus on those it deems its domestic opponents. The gentlemen on their knees below were not accorded much in the way of due process before their execution. Having left Politico beaten and bloodied on the canvas, let me now turn my attention to The Hill.
The Hill is an equally left-wing MSM organ, if slightly better written and reported. In yesterday’s paper, The Hill eagerly declared: (Snip) The subtext of their article is obvious – The Hill is telling its fellow Democrats to be in good cheer because GOP strategist Karl Rove is on their side on this issue, and warning Republicans that they should cave on this issue immediately, before it is too late.
Now, a lot depends on what one thinks of Karl Rove, the political strategist behind President George W. Bush’s political career. President Trump

Moses, smell the roses: Did you see the joyous, adoring throngs of Israelis and Arabs, all cheering and praising the American president? Millions of people chanting his name!
Y’know, for a guy with Donald Trump’s ego, people worshiping him as a god in the Holy Land must’ve been pretty trippy.
But for a guy with Barack Obama’s ego, had he been in Trump’s shoes, he would’ve believed it.
That’s always been one of the fundamental differences between the two most historically significant presidents of this century: Sure, Donald Trump has an ego, but he’s also self-aware. His pride and self-confidence are 100% authentic, but he’s also a showman: Part of it is schtick.

A Florida man convicted of killing two women whose bodies were found in a rural pond is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday evening.
Samuel Lee Smithers, 72, is set to receive a lethal injection starting at 6 p.m. at Florida State Prison near Starke under a death warrant signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. It would be Florida's 14th death sentence carried out in 2025, further extending the state record for executions in a single year.
Since the U.S. Supreme Court restored the death penalty in 1976, the highest previous annual total of Florida executions was eight in 2014. Florida has executed more people than any other state this year,

In 2018, President Trump was riding high on a wave of winning. Republicans had never had it so good, but Democrat operatives plotted their comeback, flooding Republican-held Congressional districts where Hillary Clinton had won. Millions poured into Orange County, California, as Democrats sensed an opportunity to flip Congressional seats blue for the first time in decades, if not in history. Gavin Newsom, then the Lieutenant Governor, was campaigning for Governor, shoring up all the support he could for Democrats running for Congress across Orange County, including Katie Porter, a law professor from UC Irvine. A fat, squat character actress of a candidate, no one could imagine this hog winning anything.

Gabby Giffords gun control group, Giffords, claims the public is less safe now Publix Super Markets made clear its Florida stores will comply with Florida’s open carry law.
Open carry went into effect on September 25, 2025, and on October 9, 2025, Breitbart News reported that Publix confirmed its policies will be in compliance with the state’s new carry format.
On October 12, 2025, Giffords posted to X: (X) With open carry, Florida actually shores up its constitutional carry law, which previously allowed the unlicensed concealed carry of a handgun for self-defense while leaving open carry by the wayside. On April 3, 2023, Breitbart News noted that Florida

Something seemed off during Kamala Harris’s latest MSNBC appearance over the weekend. When asked whether she had spoken to Joe Biden after news broke that he would begin radiation treatments for prostate cancer, Kamala stumbled through a strangely awkward exchange. MSNBC’s Eugene Daniels gently tried to draw out a warm or reassuring response. Instead, what viewers got was a revealing moment that felt almost uncomfortable.
“Have you talked to him, um, about it?” Daniels asked.
“Yeah, no, I, I called him earlier,” Kamala said.
“How’s he doing?” Daniels followed up.
“I have not talked to him,” she admitted. “I just left him a message… after I heard the news.”

British police have arrested two men on suspicion of murder after the former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins was stabbed to death at a prison in northern England, where he was serving a 29-year sentence for child sex offenses.
Emergency services were called to HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire on Saturday morning after Watkins, 48, was attacked with a knife. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation is underway following the arrests of Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, West Yorkshire Police said in a statement.
Appearing separately during consecutive hearings at the court, both Dodsworth and Gedel spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth,

Joe Biden's post-presidency has been rough, to put it mildly.
Nearly nine months after Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, Biden is holed up in Wilmington, Delaware, grappling with a reality that must feel like political exile. He's dealing not just with the sting of losing power, but also the inability to sell access and enrich his family. Though he won’t admit to the latter.
The irony couldn’t be thicker. After years of attacking Trump and using the Justice Department in a desperate bid to put his successor behind bars, Biden now finds himself being told by his own advisers to stay quiet and act like a traditional ex-president.

As the owner of the largest police news outlet in the world - The 1776 Project, which owns Law Enforcement Today, Blue Lives Matter and other platforms... I've seen some royally stupid moves in the last decade. But this one takes the cake.
Imagine passing your group off as a police organization... only to sell your soul, p**s off your supporters and endorse the very person who hates cops. It's like the people running things woke up with a bad cheap wine hangover and mixed up a cocktail of TDS and liberal tears to try and get through their day. But on behalf of our
