Vatican Grants Muslim Plea for
Dedicated Prayer Room

A dedicated prayer room for Muslims has reportedly been opened inside the 500-year-old Vatican Apostolic Library in Rome after a plea for the separate, carpeted space was made by visiting Islamic scholars. The Catholic Herald reports Fr Giacomo Cardinali, Vice Prefect, said in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that Muslim academics had requested an area in which to pray, and the library had agreed. “Some Muslim scholars have asked us for a room with a carpet for praying and we have given it to them,” he said. In the interview, Cardinali referred to the library’s modern collections: about 80,000 manuscripts, 50,000 archival items, nearly

Just wondering if the local mosque will be putting in a small Christian Chapel? Or a small space for Jewish believers or maybe Mormons. And what about the Satanic followers? Don't want to forget about them. s/o You know what they say about the Mosque nose being under the Vatican. I have been to the Vatican and had no need to feel that every other religion should be represented. I mean, gee whiz, it is Catholic.

Honoring a religion that was created seven centuries after Christianity and that does not believe in the Resurrection. In theory, there is some overlap between the two religions, but in practice, they are worlds apart. I wonder if this will cause other religions, real or imagined, to ask for their own dedicated space in the Vatican.

I wouldn't have brought it up if people weren't rude about the Pope, but so far I think the Muslims have not caught up to the Church destructions by the Presbyterians. The Gauls sacked Rome, the German barbarians sacked it, but so far Islam has never sacked it. The Lutheran troops of the Holy Roman Empire sacked it worse than anybody. Napoleon put the Pope in jail. We do know the issues, and all these relationships have calmed down, to the pleasure of God. I hope for peace with Islam but accept it may require a long term view. Iran by the way today opened a metro station named for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Are we to shut them out of the Vatican?

As I understand from people in the know this so-called American Pope is wholly owned, operated by, and the puppet of the European mafia bishops who hate Trump and I suspect the United States of America. They don't hate our money though. But I digress. That is why no dedicated announcement about Charlie Kirk. I'm a Eucharistic minister and I'm still smarting from that. AND OH BY THE WAY, I'm still waiting for some kind of statement from this clown of a pope on the absolutely history making Israel/Palestinian ceasefire, the rescue of the remaining hostages by Trump and the President bringing together nearly every serious and not so serious country on the planet to sign on and support that cease fire. I am totally, totally disgusted by the Catholic Church. So this muslim thing, I am definitely not shocked or surprised.

Heresy. This pope is no pope. He would do well to remember what happened when Moses returned from the mountain to discover his people worshipping a golden calf... And also when Jesus chased the money-lenders from the Temple with a knotted cord, overturning their tables. This Pope's days are numbered. And soon he will have to give account to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

#23, maybe tread a little lighter here. #14 is a long-standing L-Dotter whose conservative credentials are equally well known. As I read the reply, somebody made a decision to leave a church because they disagreed with that church's doctrine. Many other equally conservative people on this site have done likewise in both directions over the years. Speaking personally, I admire the intellectual consistency of the Catholic Church's position on life (and many other things), but I would not choose to live under the rules they ask of their members. For one thing, I'm too fond of killing criminals who deserve it.

The Catholic Church supports illegal invasion of western countries, uses taxpayer support for it, under the veil of caring for the poor, not Catholic Church care, but taxpayer care, who don't support, or want to pay for it. The Catholic Church has a poor history of supporting Nazi's, selling indulgences, supporting invasions into sovereign countries where the population opposes it, and using other people's money without their consent.

The Church isn’t a pope’s policy - it’s us, the Body of Christ, with Jesus as our Head (Col 1:18; CCC 787-795). If you’ve left because of bad popes, sinful priests, or the hard call to say Yes! to life as Mary did (and Eve did not), then you’ve misunderstood what the Church truly is - and you’re starving yourself of the Eucharist (John 6:53). That’s not liberation; that’s loss. Maybe you were poorly catechized or are making uninformed judgments based on imperfect knowledge, but don’t confuse human failure with divine truth -- because that same human failure will find you everywhere you look for your own more convenient truth. As for inviting the camel into the tent, history warns that goodwill can be exploited - the Trojan Horse wasn’t just a myth - and that discernment matters. Still, nothing changes the reality that Christ, the risen Lord, is infinitely greater than Muhammad, and His promise remains unshaken: “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18)

Thanks for this post. It shocks. It is not what the Church says, or does, that matters most as we know. It is true that Christ chased out those debasing the Temple, but then it was God's house. Christ put an end to that, He became the Church. The Church has not attained that distinction. However, the Church does profess its significance as a house of God. If that connection applies, then in looking to the OT as the point of origin back then God commanded us to leave those wild donkeys alone. Those wild donkeys sprouted from Abraham, and God did make them a great nation, and Islam claims those roots. So, God told the Israelites, His people, to leave them in the desert. But if none of that applies, then house rules apply; and Christ did say love your enemy, (I think in a theological sense), with the hope that we will learn to love one another, but I don't think to the point that what He started would be destroyed. Clear as mud. I believe Catholics must follow their leader, like soldiers ordered to do something that makes no sense to them - it's above their pay grade.

Pope Benedict suffered, and all modern day Catholics suffer-because these 2 heretics are not popes. they are wholly-owned ccp commie killers supported by satanic globalist commie killers. we have farmed Irish land for well over 1,500 years. as the children of St Patrick, we have worshipped the Great God Almighty as rock- ribbed Catholics to this day. the Vatican ''gave'' Eire-right down to the last child- to an English pope. [hadrian]. many Irish felt defeated; they lost the will to live. But we stayed put. we serve no other God. the same can be said for many stalwart english catholics. the devil was not done with us, however. for our priceless land and beliefs and prosperity, our people were dispossessed, evicted, burned alive, murdered where they stood, transported... 2/3 of the citizenry were driven from the country, and /or starved to death by genocide. [Scots as well] this history is being repeated 2x over now against our fellow farmers in the Catholic Ukraine . the saints and seers warned us tribulations from within and without. but we stay put. chicago is the us hq for crtl drugs and gangs. the argentine has been socialist centrale for many decades. and you expect better from these 2 impostors??? there's no crying in the war against communism

Here's how: A "Muslims Only" zone: Signs on highways leading to Mecca clearly mark it as off-limits to non-Muslims. This ban is a long-standing Saudi law, and attempting to enter can result in penalties like deportation or fines; non-Muslims are prohibited from entering the holy city. The city is considered a sacred space in Islam, and its inaccessibility to non-Muslims is a rule enforced by the Saudi government. Is the Vatican not considered a Holy place for Christians???

On Wednesday, The New York Times’ Zolan Kanno-Youngs and Hamed Aleaziz reported the Trump administration is considering “giving preference to English speakers” and foreigners who “oppose migration” to potential refugee seekers. According to The Times, “The proposed changes would put new emphasis on whether applicants would be able to assimilate into the United States, directing them to take classes on ‘American history and values’ and ‘respect for cultural norms.'” To The Times, such alleged reforms are apparently scandalous — as if wanting foreigners to be able to understand our history and values and respect our culture is some sort of problem. In reality, it’s what any serious nation would do.

Former FBI Director James Comey, who was recently indicted for allegedly lying to Congress when he denied authorizing bureau leaks to the media, is being represented by Patrick Fitzgerald – whose connection to the leak ordeal dates back to when Comey was fired from his post in 2017, then leaked his so-called Comey Memos to the press to prompt the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller. Fitzgerald, also a former U.S. attorney, was one of Comey’s lawyers after President Donald Trump fired him in May 2017. Shortly after he was fired, Comey sent Fitzgerald copies of his memorializations of private conversations he had with Trump, then Fitzgerald forwarded copies

Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat running for Virginia governor, insists she's running on a platform of saving Virginian families money. At least that's what she says. What she does, on the other hand, is completely different. And now Spanberger wants to slap Virginia taxpayers with the bill for a $15 million DEI czar and staff to enact racist, discriminatory practices in Virginia's government. Spanberger noted the position, a cabinet-level one, started with former Governor Ralph Northam. "What it meant in that administration," Spanberger said, "is that there was someone who was bringing a lens of intentionality and inclusivity. How do we view history here in Virginia,

General Motors said Tuesday that it plans to take a $1.6 billion charge in the third quarter as it revamps its electric vehicle strategy as the end of the federal government's EV tax credit is expected to slow demand. GM's move comes as automakers are reworking their plans for producing EVs after consumer demand softened over the last two years. The Trump administration's move to end the $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs, which helped support the emerging industry, prompted executives to warn about a drop-off in consumer demand. GM said in a filing that it expects "the adoption rate of EVs to slow" following the recent policy shifts,

It’s one thing to understand that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was DEI nomination to the Supreme Court, and another thing entirely to listen to her own words as she proves it. During oral arguments in ‘Louisiana v. Callais’, a case before the high court considering whether Louisiana’s congressional map (which includes two majority-black districts), where plaintiffs in the case argue the congressional map is unconstitutionally gerrymandered based on race; Justice KBJ compares black people to disabled people. The comparison for the argument she is trying to make is ridiculous. Listen:

Pentagon reporters turned in their badges after they refused to sign Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s new security rule. “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanded that reporters agree by 5 p.m. Tuesday to a new policy, under which they would need to pledge to not obtain or use any unauthorized material, even if the information is unclassified — or hand over their press badges in the next 24 hours,” The Hill reported on Tuesday. By Wednesday afternoon, Pentagon reporters turned in their badges.CNN’s Brian Stelter hyperventilated over the development. “Reporters have been showing up at the Pentagon today and handing in their press passes,” Brian Stelter said. “This is an extraordinary moment,” he said.

In the swiftly degenerating world of western relationships one factor above all others can be identified as the culprit: Feminism. The driving force behind third-wave feminism is not the pursuit of equal rights it's the pursuit of power. Like any communist movement, unilateral power over society is the end goal. When power is the goal, such movements naturally attract narcissistic people. How can the nuclear family function when the female half of the equation is conditioned to become self serving, ego-maniacal, conflict oriented, status obsessed, victim obsessed and desperate for control? One particular trend has feminists enraged is "nose ring theory"

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is meeting in London to vote on new rules to cut “greenhouse gases” by imposing a first-ever global tax on shipping emissions. The meeting of the U.N. agency ends Friday and is expected to finalize a “Net-Zero Framework (NZF)” where commercial ships would pay for emissions over a set limit as defined by the IMO, while vessels that meet tougher standards could trade or bank so-called “surplus units.” The Trump administration unequivocally rejects the proposal and has threatened to retaliate if nations support it, setting the stage for a fight over the climate deal.

Former Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), the potential frontrunner for California governor, now regrets mistreating a reporter and a staffer, admitting she “could have handled things better.” Last week, Politico obtained a video of Porter cursing at a staffer while taping a meeting with the Biden administration. “Get out of my f****** shot!” Porter yelled at the staffer in the video. When the staffer issued her correction regarding a policy detail, Porter responded, “Okay. You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot.” The unearthed footage came just days after a video went viral that showed Porter threatening to exit an interview with a California CBS News affiliate.

Is Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) going to retire? Townhall has been hearing whispers from some senior Democratic sources that the longtime New York Senator could be retiring from public life for numerous reasons, not least being that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) could make good on her move to primary him. Now, AOC venturing outside the state could be an early move to consolidate her national constituency for a 2028 presidential run, which she could do, but she has options. And this seat is gettable for her: Schumer is not well-liked among Democratic voters, and his fundraising has been abysmal.

Pelosi (D-Calif.), who was clutching the arm of an aide as she gingerly navigated the steps of the Capitol, quickly spun around, pointed her finger at the LindellTV reporter’s face and appeared enraged at the suggestion that a new Republican-led committee investigating the riot might find her “liable.” “Shut up!” Pelosi, 85, barked. “I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points

With the arrests and federal indictments of two California men announced on Thursday, we're now getting an idea of how California's billions of dollars to "end homelessness" vanished without a trace. Instead of helping to solve the problem of rampant tent encampments filled with addicts on the beaches and streets in California, things got worse. Where did all that money go? An audit in 2024 revealed that no one knew how the homeless money was spent. I wrote about this in "No Wonder Gavin Newsom Didn't Want an Audit to Track $24 Billion in Homeless Spending."

Yes, we trash can. President Barack Obama’s austere new presidential library is getting roasted with comparisons to the Death Star, garbage bins and other domineering monoliths in a hilarious social media thread sparked by Sen. Ted Cruz. “Locating the Death Star in Chicago was a bold move,” Cruz (R-TX) wrote on X Tuesday while reposting a video of the latest work on Obama’s Chicago presidential center. The facility, a slab of concrete and granite rising 225 feet above Chicago’s Jackson Park, has faced ridicule from critics since its design was first unveiled nearly 10 years ago — and the the peanut gallery poured on more jokes after Cruz’s post.
