Gabby Giffords gun control group, Giffords, claims the public is less safe now Publix Super Markets made clear its Florida stores will comply with Florida’s open carry law. Open carry went into effect on September 25, 2025, and on October 9, 2025, Breitbart News reported that Publix confirmed its policies will be in compliance with the state’s new carry format. On October 12, 2025, Giffords posted to X: (X) With open carry, Florida actually shores up its constitutional carry law, which previously allowed the unlicensed concealed carry of a handgun for self-defense while leaving open carry by the wayside. On April 3, 2023, Breitbart News noted that Florida

Keep in mind she ran and was elected as a pro-gun, 2nd amendment supporter, campaigning at gun shows, and attending campaign/news photo ops at gun ranges, shooting pistols and AR15s. EVERYBODY knows HER name....but ask any anti gun lefty to name ANY of the other people that were shot at the same time she was wounded.

Yeah, except that EVERYWHERE that people are free to carry guns...open or not, CRIME ALWAYS goes down. Always. 100% of the places. Anti-gun fools like Giffords just don't grasp that the BAD guys have always been carrying guns, the only people who are disarmed by "gun control" are the good people who might defend themselves from the bad people who are already carrying guns illegally.

Have to agree with #11....if I were a crim, and I was going to rob somewhere with a gun, I would probably take out the first one I saw with open carry...it is not 'street smart' to open carry, or wear your nifty NRA, S&W, Sig or whatever advertising t shirt you have...just saying...

She acts as if everyone is going to be waving their Glocks and other guns around for show. Open carry has rules. You won't even know most of the people who have a legal weapon. Gifford is worrying about the wrong people. She needs to worry about the criminals who don't care about open carry laws and follow the rules.

A Florida man convicted of killing two women whose bodies were found in a rural pond is scheduled to be executed on Tuesday evening. Samuel Lee Smithers, 72, is set to receive a lethal injection starting at 6 p.m. at Florida State Prison near Starke under a death warrant signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. It would be Florida's 14th death sentence carried out in 2025, further extending the state record for executions in a single year. Since the U.S. Supreme Court restored the death penalty in 1976, the highest previous annual total of Florida executions was eight in 2014. Florida has executed more people than any other state this year,

Republicans had never had it so good, but Democrat operatives plotted their comeback, flooding Republican-held Congressional districts where Hillary Clinton had won. Millions poured into Orange County, California, as Democrats sensed an opportunity to flip Congressional seats blue for the first time in decades, if not in history. Gavin Newsom, then the Lieutenant Governor, was campaigning for Governor, shoring up all the support he could for Democrats running for Congress across Orange County, including Katie Porter, a law professor from UC Irvine. Something seemed off during Kamala Harris’s latest MSNBC appearance over the weekend. When asked whether she had spoken to Joe Biden after news broke that he would begin radiation treatments for prostate cancer, Kamala stumbled through a strangely awkward exchange. MSNBC’s Eugene Daniels gently tried to draw out a warm or reassuring response. Instead, what viewers got was a revealing moment that felt almost uncomfortable. “Have you talked to him, um, about it?” Daniels asked. “Yeah, no, I, I called him earlier,” Kamala said. “How’s he doing?” Daniels followed up. “I have not talked to him,” she admitted. “I just left him a message… after I heard the news.”

Joe Biden's post-presidency has been rough, to put it mildly. Nearly nine months after Donald Trump reclaimed the White House, Biden is holed up in Wilmington, Delaware, grappling with a reality that must feel like political exile. He's dealing not just with the sting of losing power, but also the inability to sell access and enrich his family. Though he won’t admit to the latter. The irony couldn’t be thicker. After years of attacking Trump and using the Justice Department in a desperate bid to put his successor behind bars, Biden now finds himself being told by his own advisers to stay quiet and act like a traditional ex-president.

Barack Obama has fallen yet again for a boy-faced Democrat hoping to "turn Texas blue." During a recent interview on Marc Maron's podcast, the failed former president touted James Talarico, the Texas state lawmaker running for U.S. Senate, as a "terrific, talented young man." Democrats haven't been this excited about a U.S. Senate candidate in Texas since Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke, who lost his race in 2018 but also managed to impress Obama with his terrific talents. Talarico won praise from Democrats earlier this year by going on Joe Rogan's podcast. He parlayed that appearance into a U.S. Senate campaign and fawning headlines, such as

Clinton’s comments came just a day after Hamas agreed to Trump’s peace plan in a stunning move that is expected to end the two year war that’s ravaged the Gaza Strip.

The 2020 census was marketed as an “actual enumeration,” a neutral count of people for apportionment and funding. It was not. The same official who helped block a basic citizenship question in 2018, John M. The new system deliberately injected mathematical noise into every block count in America, turning the census from a headcount into a model with knobs. The knob that mattered most was a single parameter, epsilon, a secrecy shroud known only to a small inner circle.
