There's no question who is paying for this defense attorney. It's Utah County, with additional infusion of needed cash by the State of Utah. They hired a competent criminal defense practitioner because they wouldn't want a loser, cheapo defense attorney to screw up Robinson's defense and grant him multiple future appeal arguments based upon incompetent counsel. No one wants an appeals court to order a new trial after this one's over. It's common in high-profile murder cases for the government to hire better defense attorneys than the public defenders who represent misdemeanants and small-time felons on a contractual basis with local governments. Forty to sixty years ago, the SCOTUS mandated that indigents were entitled to relatively competent defense attorneys hired by the state or appointed by the relevant courts.

I do not want to be cruel but I really think those who murder should be murdered the same way they did it to the victim. When he is found guilty, as he walks back to the cell, someone should do to him what he did to Charlie. I really think people would STOP killing if the same was done to them. I know this sounds awful but why should THEY receive grace when they gave none to their victims. Same w this Mangione guy. When he is found guilty on the way back to his cell someone should shoot him in the back. Just like he did to the CEO. If criminals knew this would be the result they would stop behaving this way. I am not being unkind but I want to stop future victims.

Totally agree, #7, I've been saying the same for decades. My fear is that Charlie Kirk's murderer, looking for mercy, will claim that Erika Kirk's forginess made him find Jesus Christ and we'll end up with 23 years of appeals

Her job is to prevent him from being sentenced to the death penalty. His guilt is a foregone conclusion. Look for a plea deal after a battery of psychological tests.

#7 & #8, I soooo wish that would work but unfortunately these monsters don't have normal thought-processes. The idea of getting shot in the neck would terrify most of us and cause us to reconsider committing dastardly deeds. But it likely wouldn't even phase a murderer with an extremely distorted perception of reality and no understanding that his actions have consequences.

Sara Jane Moore, the would-be assassin of President Gerald Ford, died Wednesday at a nursing facility in Franklin. She was 95. Moore’s death came two days after the 50th anniversary of her attempt to kill Ford outside the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco in 1975. Her actions followed Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme’s attempt to assassinate Ford just 17 days earlier in Sacramento. The two events were unconnected. Moore was sentenced to life in prison. She attempted to escape in 1979, but was captured after a few hours. She was released on parole in 2007.

In a bizarre "stand" against President Trump, liberal pregnant women have taken to social media, posting videos of themselves taking Tylenol. This comes after a major announcement on Monday, where the Trump administration said that they will no longer recommend pregnant women take Tylenol, as they believe it may increase the chances of a child being born with autism. Even if the announcement were untrue, why would these mothers risk hurting their children simply to rub it in President Trump's face? It is less of taking a stand, and more of just plain stupidity.

The application for the warrant at his office, according to the filing, was to search for "evidence of a crime" and to locate potential "contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed."
