Investigators continued their search for answers Wednesday following a deadly shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Texas that left one detainee dead and two others wounded.
Authorities later identified the suspect as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, whose family is now grappling with the shocking events.

In th ejphoto of the shooter, the rifle appears to be one of the many tens of millions of military surplus Mausers that were imported after WW2 into the USA. These rifles were made by many companies in many countries, not all made in Germany by the Mauser firm. The clip of cartridges with the word "anti-ICE" scrawled on it is consistent with a military surplus Mauser-type rifle.
Again, like AR-15s are made by many companies, in many versions, so were the Mauser design rifles, which first were sold in the final form in 1898, but which stayed in production through the end of 1945 in many countries, or even later. Available in many military calibers, 6.5mm, 7mm, 8mm and 7.65mm, and some in .30-06 or 7,62 NATO caliber. Many possible makers, countries, calibers....all called "Mausers" for the original design.

The mother once posted a rant against Gov Abbott about his support for 2A freedoms, yet Joshua "had access to firearms through the family." No wonder the kid was messed up.

Evidence of mental disorder in the LBQTD community is piling up. They sure seem to have a murderous rage against people who dare disagree with them.

#6. It looks like the transgender portion of the LGBTQ community has people in it or surrounding it who are afflicted with mental illnesses that make them potentially violent when they are confronted with differing political opinions. That’s just the way the LGBTQ ball bounces these days.

RE: the Mauser. In the G&S 1879 Opera 'The Pirates Of Penzance' Sullivan uses the following line, in 'The Model Major General: 'in fact when I know what is meant by "mamelon and ravelin", when I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin'.... Perhaps Arthur was psychic? Or it more likely refers to a model before its final one.

Mauser made many rifle designs before the definition Model of 1898. Their Model of 1891 was a breakthrough design, refined with improved extractor and feeding reliability in the Models 1893/95, but the design was considered perfected in the Model of 1898.
The earliest was, IIRC, the Model 1871. So, easy fir in 1879 play.
