Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem exploded in outrage over a cryptic and “menacing” tweet issued by California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office this past weekend. “Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today. You’re welcome, America.” Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at DHS, blasted Newsom’s team for crossing the line into dangerous rhetoric. McLaughlin wrote on X: “This reads like a threat. This is ugly, @GavinNewsom. Your keyboard warrior team may hide behind their laptops and spew this kind of vitriol, but you would never have the guts to say this to her face.”

PROVO, Utah — Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of fatally shooting Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during a campus speech earlier this month, finally has a defense attorney. Kathryn Nester, a former federal public defender with more than 30 years of experience, is spearheading the defense, according to an Utah County spokesperson.[snip] In a news release on Wednesday, officials announced Robinson's attorney was approved by the Utah County Commission.
Sara Jane Moore, the would-be assassin of President Gerald Ford, died Wednesday at a nursing facility in Franklin. She was 95. Moore’s death came two days after the 50th anniversary of her attempt to kill Ford outside the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco in 1975. Her actions followed Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme’s attempt to assassinate Ford just 17 days earlier in Sacramento. The two events were unconnected.
Moore was sentenced to life in prison. She attempted to escape in 1979, but was captured after a few hours. She was released on parole in 2007.

Dallas police confirmed that Fairview police are assisting with their investigation. FOX 4 could not find any history of violent crime on Jahn's record. He was arrested in 2015 in Collin County for marijuana possession.

Española will be the second New Mexico city to receive National Guard troops this year. Albuquerque, the state’s biggest city, has seen a monthslong troop deployment in support of the Albuquerque Police Department. Gov.
