We learn the lesson as children that we are the company we keep — and this holds true for politicians seeking power over us.
The allies they choose tell us what they find tolerable, and the more heinous the compan, the more we should be on guard about what changes are coming our way.
Mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani rose to national prominence after winning the Democratic primary this year, but he’s been a Democratic Socialists of America member since 2017.

He is a Muslim. His wife is Syrian. Mamdani consistently and proudly associates with the pro-Palestinian movement in high-profile settings across New York City.
He may talk the talk about not being antisemite but IMO it's talk. His actions do not justify the talk, and he is antisemite just like all Muslims.
Promise enough free stuff and you get elected, somebody has to pay for it.
Go ahead New York , elect this Jihadist, see what you get.

I cannot fathom New Yorkers being smart enough to not elect a commie muslim as mayor. I guess we'll see. And if they do, a cauldron of scalded cats will be nothing in comparison to the wailing and gnashing of teeth forthcoming.

Let's see how Nyer's like their city looking more like Mogadishu than The Big Apple. After they've had enough, who will become the next Mator Guliani?

I don't see any reason to be upset about this guy taking over nyc.
The same people voted AOC in. Twice.
They deserve to get what they vote for. As a former lifelong Californian, I very much look forward to leftists getting the government they vote for in California, NY and anywhere else they're in full control.

Why is the Democrat Party referred to a Democratic? There is nothing democratic about them. They are fascists.

Sorry, but there it is. There has to be a line that can't be crossed.

I agree with poster #4. If a socialist or democrat is elected in a free and fair election, the people need to learn to live with them.
This would never happen if our schools taught traditional American values in a civics class. So living under a communist mayor or governor then can become instructive, and a later substitute to what should have been taught in our educational system. Better to experience this type of lesson at the city or state level than at the national level. (Regrets to the minority conservative citizens who have to tolerate it for s few years, though).

Zohran's weakness is that he is not as wily or conniving as Barack Obama is because he reveals his beliefs and intentions before he is elected. The Lightbringer promised us a peaceful world with a fundamentally-changed America, a blank slate that each delusional voter could fill in with his own wishes. The fact that racism and deceit would somehow get us there was well hidden. The family unit has been the core of humanity ever since the Neanderthals populated the world and survived by hunting in tight little groups which eventually became tribes and communities. Now, after tens of thousands of years of accepting the ancient and Biblical way of life, we are supposed to give our children over to a Brave New World type of society and let some young, muslim, communist, socialist, rich, entitled, delusional upstart break it all apart. New York, if you do this, we accept no responsibility for the outcome, it's all on you.

No politician from any city or party gives a flying hoot about families. Or businesses. Or anything but their own enrichment. Families are just another cash cow to be milked until dry, then abandoned. If they really cared about people they would get out of the way and leave them alone.

NY voters don’t hear anything following ‘free’. Never mind that the city and the state are in debt past their eyebrows because of what they already give away. Not to mention that Hochul won’t endorse him and has already signaled that there will be no funds forthcoming for Mandami to pay his tab. She sees what’s coming - a mass exodus. She’s pushed businesses as far as they can be pushed. They won’t stay around under communist governance. Rock on NY. FA and FO.

This is the most pathetic lineup of mayoral candidates I have ever seen. NY/NYC is a collective mess on every level and no one in office has any idea how to help their citizens except for a bad idea. NYC is about to go down that rabbit hole to hell. So many of us will remind them "we told you so".

I have no doubt that the idiots will vote for this commie. After all they keep reelecting AOC, Chuck the Schmuck, Gillibrand, the same house creatures and the wrong mayors. We need to get rid of the northeast and the west coast. Give Chicongo to Canada and keep the rest of Illinois. We will leave in peace then.

The only way htey will learn is to descend into Muslim Communist Hell for a visit. They will then need to discover whether it is every possible to climb back out.
I'm glad I live far away and don't give one damn about what happens to the whole of NYC.

The reason he will never be elected is because he would unleash hell on earth for the Financial Institutions in NYC and drive out massive tax revenues. Look for a bit more “news” to drop about “Zo” that will make even a liberal Democrat, like Adams or Cuomo, more palatable than this foreign born & raised, full-fledged Communist running under the guise of a “Democrat.”

Given that the voters who won't vote for him will likely stay home due to the other choices on the ballot, I think this guy will be the next mayor.

I'm so sick of the commie mamdani news every day....he is muslim...and so his drive will always be to destroy Israel and America....but New York is run by globalists and oligarchs from all over the world...so...they'll do what is best for their interests...the common folks living in New York will be told what they want to hear...and New York will become a "NO go zone"....

What is truly amazing is how democrats never get it. They never learn from their mistakes or the mistakes of others. Listen to this fool Mamdani and you're listening to Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez. You can go back to Lenin or Stalin and all you hear is the same rhetoric. They all blame the other guy for their problems and promise you the world while they live like kings on your dime. And democrats never get it. All you have to do is look at Cuba and Venezuela. Two countries who had great economies until Castro and Chavez took over. Now look at them. Fact is, every democratic run city looks the same, just like Cuba and Venezuela. Get it yet.

Any NYC resident who votes for Mygodme is simply a masochist yelling, 'Spank me, spank me. Hit harder!' My tax money had better not be used to rescue self-hating idiots.
