He is a Muslim. His wife is Syrian. Mamdani consistently and proudly associates with the pro-Palestinian movement in high-profile settings across New York City. He may talk the talk about not being antisemite but IMO it's talk. His actions do not justify the talk, and he is antisemite just like all Muslims. Promise enough free stuff and you get elected, somebody has to pay for it. Go ahead New York , elect this Jihadist, see what you get.

I cannot fathom New Yorkers being smart enough to not elect a commie muslim as mayor. I guess we'll see. And if they do, a cauldron of scalded cats will be nothing in comparison to the wailing and gnashing of teeth forthcoming.

I don't see any reason to be upset about this guy taking over nyc. The same people voted AOC in. Twice. They deserve to get what they vote for. As a former lifelong Californian, I very much look forward to leftists getting the government they vote for in California, NY and anywhere else they're in full control.

I agree with poster #4. If a socialist or democrat is elected in a free and fair election, the people need to learn to live with them. This would never happen if our schools taught traditional American values in a civics class. So living under a communist mayor or governor then can become instructive, and a later substitute to what should have been taught in our educational system. Better to experience this type of lesson at the city or state level than at the national level. (Regrets to the minority conservative citizens who have to tolerate it for s few years, though).

Zohran's weakness is that he is not as wily or conniving as Barack Obama is because he reveals his beliefs and intentions before he is elected. The Lightbringer promised us a peaceful world with a fundamentally-changed America, a blank slate that each delusional voter could fill in with his own wishes. The fact that racism and deceit would somehow get us there was well hidden. The family unit has been the core of humanity ever since the Neanderthals populated the world and survived by hunting in tight little groups which eventually became tribes and communities. Now, after tens of thousands of years of accepting the ancient and Biblical way of life, we are supposed to give our children over to a Brave New World type of society and let some young, muslim, communist, socialist, rich, entitled, delusional upstart break it all apart. New York, if you do this, we accept no responsibility for the outcome, it's all on you.

No politician from any city or party gives a flying hoot about families. Or businesses. Or anything but their own enrichment. Families are just another cash cow to be milked until dry, then abandoned. If they really cared about people they would get out of the way and leave them alone.

NY voters don’t hear anything following ‘free’. Never mind that the city and the state are in debt past their eyebrows because of what they already give away. Not to mention that Hochul won’t endorse him and has already signaled that there will be no funds forthcoming for Mandami to pay his tab. She sees what’s coming - a mass exodus. She’s pushed businesses as far as they can be pushed. They won’t stay around under communist governance. Rock on NY. FA and FO.

You can go back to Lenin or Stalin and all you hear is the same rhetoric. They all blame the other guy for their problems and promise you the world while they live like kings on your dime. And democrats never get it. All you have to do is look at Cuba and Venezuela. Two countries who had great economies until Castro and Chavez took over. Now look at them. The rural Kentucky judge gunned down in his own chambers last year ran a twisted sex ring in which young women were coaxed into performing sexual favors just to get out of trouble, one of the alleged victims claims. Tya Adams alleges she was among those caught up in Judge Kevin Mullins’ apparent sex-for-favors scheme that saw him and others in the tiny town of Whitesburg demand sex in exchange for cash, or to get offenders off the hook. Adams told NewsNation’s “Banfield” that Mullins — who was shot execution-style in his Letcher County chambers, allegedly by his longtime sheriff pal Shawn Stines, last September —

Like many businesses, Bed, Bath & Beyond is fleeing California. Unlike most, however, it's not slinking out quietly. It's letting the world know why it got the hell out of Dodge. In a publicly issued statement, its executive chairman, Marcus Lemonis, wrote: We will not open or operate retail stores in California. This decision isn’t about politics — it’s about reality. California has created one of the most overregulated, expensive, and risky environments for businesses in America. It’s a system that makes it harder to employ people, harder to keep doors open, and harder to deliver value to customers. The result?

As Muslim migration roils Europe, some Catholic bishops are starting to notice. “For decades, the Islamization of Europe has been progressing through mass immigration,” Polish Bishop Antoni Długosz said July 13, adding that illegal immigrants “create serious problems in the countries they arrive in.” Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Kazakhstan spoke more bluntly in March: “We’re witnessing an invasion. They are not refugees. This is an invasion, a mass Islamization of Europe.” Yet Pope Leo XIV lives in a different dimension. “In a world darkened by war and injustice . . . migrants and refugees stand as messengers of hope,” Leo said July 25.

A Manhattan federal judge on Monday denied the Trump administration’s bid to unseal grand jury documents in the case against dead sex predator Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell. US District Judge Paul Engelmayer said the transcripts revealed “next to nothing new” — in a scathing decision that ripped the Justice Department for overhyping the files, going so far as to suggest it was all a “diversion.” “There is no ‘there’ there,” Engelmayer wrote in his searing 31-page ruling finding that the DOJ failed to make a compelling case to disclose the grand jury testimony, which typically remains sealed.

Consumers see businesses as partners in transactions they have voluntarily chosen to take part in. They might not always be happy with the exchanges they make, but they generally understand that they are making a tradeoff that benefits both parties.  Policymakers, however, far too often see businesses as endless sources of money to fund their agendas.  On occasion, businesses will reach a breaking point. So they defend their interests, as some in Los Angeles are doing. A coalition has launched a June 2026 ballot measure to repeal the gross receipts tax, which is levied on business revenues, not profits (and is often passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices).

President Trump went on a late-night attack against NBC and ABC News on Sunday, deriding them for what, in his view, was "biased" coverage and said he would be in favor of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revoking their licenses. The Republican president said the news outlets had given him negative coverage on "97%" of stories. It wasn’t clear from where Trump was citing the "97%" figure. A study released earlier this year by the conservative media watchdog group, Media Research Center (MRC), found that coverage of the president’s first 100 days in office was "92% negative."
