A petition urging Florida officials to show leniency toward Harjinder Singh, an illegal immigrant truck driver accused of causing a crash that killed three people, has garnered nearly 2.5 million signatures as of Sunday afternoon. The petition — posted on the website Change.org and addressed to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calls for both DeSantis and the Florida Board of Executive Clemency to re-examine the case against the 28-year-old. Singh faces three counts of vehicular homicide and three counts of manslaughter in connection with the deadly Aug. 12 crash.

The hungry and ferocious large-sized alligators may provide "counseling. The water moccasins insist on having a say in the matter.
"Investigators determined that he and his passenger, Harneet Singh, fled to Sacramento the day after the crash, according to the U.S. Marshals Service."

All the signatures are illegal aliens and their extended illegal alien families.
By the way, how much leniency did this illiterate illegal alien offer to the three people he slew as he broke a law that was specifically forbidden by the sign he apparently couldn't read? I'd give him 40 years, no parole, and if he's still alive, send him back to India.

Check those signatures closely. Chances are most of those signers are themselves in this country illegally, driving more truck than they can handle, and posmsessing an illegal license. Besides, how in the world can they get 2M signatures in 48 hours for a guy who just decapitated every member of a young family. "Change.org" ... isn't that "word" (and therefore, the site) affiliated with Barry Bama? Would be useful to geo-locate the signatures, as I'm betting that it's a combination of bots (located who knows where) and Indians (in India). If my suspicion that the human signers are mostly Indians is true, here would be another good chance for Ric Grenell to diplomatically vent -- this time at India, for interfering in domestic law enforcement in the United States. Though I don't seriously expect that any on-line petition is going to lead to leniency in this case. Unfortunately, unless the owners of the site are subpoenaed, they're probably not going to cough up that kind of analytics.

Whoever wrote the petition is unfamiliar with Florida law. Florida eliminated almost all parole in the 1990s. Now, prisoners serve at least 85% of the sentence. Plus, if they get out after serving 85% of the sentence and re-offend within three years, they go back and finish their original sentence.
And it is ridiculous to call this an "accident" --- it was a deliberate act. Yes, he didn't plan on killing anyone, but he should have known suddenly blocking a 3-lane highway at that speed would lead to an accident that could be fatal. Completely foreseeable. Not an accident.

"While accountability matters, the severity of the charges against him does not align with the circumstances of the incident." There are lots of people in prison who didn't mean to kill multiple people through their negligence, but they did. Singh also fled to California after the accident thinking he would be protected by it's sanctuary laws. He knew what he did was wrong. Add being in the country illegally and NO LENIENCY IS DESERVED!

Matt Walsh posted showed a clip of 10 folks of the same ethnic group spouting the same 4 talking points. Familyman, just trying to make a living, did not intention to cause harm, honest mistake. Add to that the government of India demanded he be allowed to wear his hat, and it’s not his fault. So I guess as an old lady, if I flip a u turn across lanes of traffic on a freeway I should receive leniency because….? Nope put my carcass through the court system and if a liberal judge finds me I fry, a conservative judge I goto jail.

Whatever. The main point is that this truck driver is an illegal alien not an immigrant. He arrived here illegally and he's an alien, therefore, an illegal alien and should be deported or jailed for his crime of vehicular manslaughter.

All those interviewed spoke from the identical script. "terrible mistake", etc. This is tribalism, which is a part of human nature and always will be. It explains why the mayor of London is Muslim. And why Mamdani will likely be the next mayor of New York, and why Minnesota has become a hot bed of Somalian corruption. As for the truck accident, I blame the state(s?) that granted the CDL and the company that sent him out on the road as much as Singh himself.
