Inflation may have moderated, and the economy is showing signs of healthy growth, but the public remains deeply concerned about both, according to the latest I&I/TIPP poll. The poll found that fully 80% of those surveyed by I&I/TIPP say they are either “very” (45%) or “somewhat” (35%) concerned about inflation. Just 17% say they are not concerned. That’s despite the fact that inflation has averaged just 2.6% this year – which is significantly lower than any year under the Biden administration – and came in lower than expected in July. There are two things you can be sure of when it comes to Gavin Newsom. One is that he craves power. Two, he hates his fellow Californians.
OK, the second one might be a stretch. But considering what he’s done to the people of his home state, that’s a fairly reasonable conclusion to draw.
Newsom has been making headlines these days by “getting tough” with President Donald Trump in ways childish (X with posts written in all caps) and politically poisonous (promising to redraw district boundaries to kill off four or five of the state’s nine Republican seats).

Weren’t we assured that Barack Obama went “into and out of office with not a whiff of scandal”? Yes we were. Former Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen told us so, as did many others. But it wasn’t true. There are many, the most recent a claim that Obama, and then Joe Biden, pressured bank executives to deny services to conservatives. It’s a serious charge that, like the Russia hoax, makes Watergate look like a sandbox squabble.

It might be easy to dismiss the growing unrest in Britain, where crowds of fed-up and violently angry citizens are suddenly taking to the streets to end what they see as the tyranny of woke multiculturalism and horribly failed immigration policies. The controversial life and shocking death of financial fixer and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein won a second of round of heavy media coverage after claims were made that Donald Trump knew Epstein. But Americans of all political stripes mostly agree on one thing: Epstein did not commit suicide, but was murdered, according to the latest I&I/TIPP Poll.
The online national poll, taken by 1,362 adults, asked four questions total about Epstein’s controversial life. The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points.
The first, and possibly most controversial, question asked: “Did Jeffrey Epstein die by suicide or was he murdered?”
Earlier this month, Customs and Border Protection recorded fewer than 7,832 illegal border crossings in July. That’s a staggering number when you consider that the 25-year average for that month is 76,000.
Even more staggering is that this should never have happened. At least, not if you believed President Joe “Autopen” Biden.
For four years straight, Biden and his minions told the American public either that the border was secure, or that the problem was impossible to fix due to Republican intransigence, or some combination of the two.

We’ve come to expect that no matter what President Donald Trump says or does these days, the mainstream press will rush out to say he’s wrong. So, we weren’t the least bit surprised when, after Trump said crime in the nation’s capital is out of control and called in the National Guard, news outlets immediately dismissed his claims.
But who is doing the lying here?
