New York’s state Public Service Commission just OK’d big National Grid rate increases that’ll hike many upstate utility bills by $600 a year — fueling outrage Democrats will soon feel.
Downstate, Con Edison is seeking an 11.4% hike to electric bills and 13.3% gas hike — largely thanks to green-energy mandates that Gov. Kathy Hochul embraced along with the rest of the party.
The “climate agenda” is delivering pain we’ve long warned of, in New York and New Jersey.
Across the Hudson, electric bills as much as tripled this summer —

A Manhattan federal judge on Monday denied the Trump administration’s bid to unseal grand jury documents in the case against dead sex predator Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
US District Judge Paul Engelmayer said the transcripts revealed “next to nothing new” — in a scathing decision that ripped the Justice Department for overhyping the files, going so far as to suggest it was all a “diversion.”
“There is no ‘there’ there,” Engelmayer wrote in his searing 31-page ruling finding that the DOJ failed to make a compelling case to disclose the grand jury testimony, which typically remains sealed.

A former top aide to ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo unleashed a series of vicious social media slapdowns on his former boss — even linking the mayoral candidate to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Howard Glaser, who served as the state operations director during Cuomo’s first term as governor, went nuclear during a series of withering statements on X, promising there is more to come.
“The attacks on [Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani’s] family are ironic given Andrew’s own family values,” Glaser in a post. “Remember, Andrew, when your ex-wife [Kerry Kennedy] locked herself IN the bathroom to avoid your abuse, according to your biographer?”

As RedState previously reported, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) officially announced on Thursday that there would be a special election in November where voters will be asked to vote on "temporarily" suspending the voter-approved independent redistricting commission process in favor of maps drawn by California state lawmakers, where Democrats have a supermajority in the state legislature. The move, of course, is designed to try and counter the likely 2026 GOP gains under the proposed new Texas maps with a California map that would benefit Democrats.

He thanked Trump for an invitation to meet in person in Washington on Monday and said they would “discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war.”Zelenskyy reiterated the importance of involving Europe.
“It is important that Europeans are involved at every stage to ensure reliable security guarantees together with America,” he said.

President Donald Trump has said little about his idea of relocating many of the Gaza Strip’s 2 million Palestinians to other countries since he stunned the world by announcing it in February.
But Israel’s leaders have run with it, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at one point listed it as a condition for ending the 22-month war sparked by Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack.
He and other Israeli officials present it as a humanitarian measure allowing Palestinians to flee war and hardship, and say it should be voluntary. Israel has been in talks with African countries —

CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said Thursday on “News Central” that polls showed Americans trusted President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers on crime over Democrats.Enten said, “Americans view Trump far more favorably now on crime than they did a year ago. And while this polling doesn’t take into account what’s exactly happening in D.C. right now, it does take into account what happened in Los Angeles, what’s happened earlier this year, and Americans, for the most part, actually view Trump favorably.”
He continued, “Crime is one of Trump’s best issues. It’s one of the reasons why he wants to talk about crime, because it favors him.”

Consumers see businesses as partners in transactions they have voluntarily chosen to take part in. They might not always be happy with the exchanges they make, but they generally understand that they are making a tradeoff that benefits both parties.
Policymakers, however, far too often see businesses as endless sources of money to fund their agendas.
On occasion, businesses will reach a breaking point. So they defend their interests, as some in Los Angeles are doing. A coalition has launched a June 2026 ballot measure to repeal the gross receipts tax, which is levied on business revenues, not profits (and is often passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices).

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper pressured a fellow intel community chief to sign onto a fabricated intelligence assessment that pushed the baseless claim that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump, according to declassified documents released Wednesday.
Published by DNI Tulsi Gabbard, the bombshell Dec. 22, 2016, emails further demonstrate how former President Obama and his intel chiefs weaponized a 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) to launch the infamous Trump-Russia collusion hoax. Declassified documents previously released by Gabbard showed how the ICA’s “key judgement” that Russia’s 2016 interference was designed “to help President-elect Trump’s election chances” was based on weak and uncorroborated intel —

Once upon a time, George Will was a conservative.
I'm not sure what he is anymore after his TDS drove him to vote for Joe Biden. Even if he didn't want to vote for Donald Trump, voting for Biden seems like a denial of everything he was before. It's certainly not a conservative position.
But what he said on Friday on HBO's "Real Time" with Bill Maher was in some ways even more surprising than that.
Maher and Will were talking about Democrat NYC mayoral race nominee, Zohran Mamdani. Maher went hard against Mamdani, saying he says "the things that communists say.

New York, New York! It’s a helluva town, and they are in big trouble. The residents of the Big Apple might need to follow the example of Snake Plissken and Escape from New York before the onetime premier American urbania turns into a heartless, hateful, surveillance-state dystopia! In 2021, the voters placed their hopes in mayor Republican-turned-Democrat Eric Adams. He was a police officer, sounded off on improving public safety, and he didn’t give off the same woke Communist craziness of his blah-blah predecessor Bill de Blasio.

Since Donald Trump has begun the push to deport illegal aliens, we’ve seen stories about families being broken up, and people losing their homes or being deported without having been arrested for crimes other than illegal entry. The stories are framed sympathetically to wring American hearts, but they don’t change the debate because you can’t run a country based on emotional anecdotal narratives.
Still, that’s exactly what Democrats want the country to do. They’re suggesting that most of the 40 million illegal aliens they invited into the country over the last quarter century are doctors, engineers, or saints, and, therefore,
