It was official on Monday as the runaway Texas Democrats who fled to break quorum finally caved and returned to the Texas Capitol.
You can see them coming in, including Texas state representative Gene Wu. According to the local report, they had a quorum, although there are at least two Democrats who had not yet returned.
Here's one of the Democrats who returned, Chris Turner, who claimed they returned "victorious" because they've started a "conversation" and California Democrats might pass maps that would help Democrats.

Hochul pardoned Somchith Vatthanavong, a 52-year-old illegal immigrant who was convicted as a teenager of killing a man in a Brooklyn pool hall. By offering him a pardon, Hochul effectively cleared the path for him to stay in the United States and avoid deportation.

Everyone in Ohio knows what happened on May 4, 1970, when National Guard troops opened fire on anti-war protesters at Kent State University. Four protesters were killed and nine others wounded, including one who was paralyzed from the waist down. The Appellate Division, First Department overturned the whopping fine in the case in which Trump, 78, was found to have fraudulently inflated his net worth by billions of dollars over a decade to get better loan and insurance terms.
Trump would have had to pay a total of more than $500 million, including more than $100 million in interest, had the February 2024 ruling from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron been upheld.
