The Death of 'Expertise' Is America’s
Great Rebirth

Something remarkable is unfolding across America. The once-unquestioned reverence for expert opinion — from polished T.V. pundits to Ivy League data wizards — is crumbling. Despite all the doomsaying, this collapse might just be the healthiest thing to have happened in public life for generations on end. What, exactly, is taking place? A lot of things. Americans’ trust in scientists has declined since April 2020, dropping from 87% to 73% by Fall 2023, particularly among Republicans.

Comments:

I think the article makes some great points. There is just one thing I disagree with. In the article it says that the 2024 election demolished Alan J. Lichtman's 13 keys to the White House because Professor Lichtman had predicted that Kamala would win. The problem with that is that when I looked at the article where Lichtman said that I interpreted his 13 keys to say the opposite. Lichtman gave 8 of the 13 keys to Kamala. However, he gave key 5, "The short-term economy is strong" to Kamala; Key 6, "The long-term economic growth has been as good as the last two terms" to Kamala; and key 9, "The White House is untainted by scandal" to Kamala. I gave all three of those unequivocally to Trump. In addition, he gave key 8, "There is no sustained social unrest during the term" to Kamala, which I gave to Trump (although that was arguable). Finally, He left key 12 and 13 on foreign policy success and failure as undecided, while I would have given, and would still give, to Trump. Meaning by my reading, Kamala had at most 5 of the 13 keys while Trump had the remaining8, and I would have given Trump 10 of the keys and Kamala only 3. Which suggests that, the failure was not Lichtman's 13 keys, but rather his interpretation of the facts regarding those keys.

So many "experts" are straight up liars, doing political hack work and hiding behind their supposed "expertise". The world used to trust "scientists" because most scientists were apolitical and honest about their science. Once "science" became politticized, and became untrustworthy, they have destroyed a hundred years of trust. Now someone says "I'm a scientific expert"......everyone puts their hand on their wallet, waiting for the scam to break.

Lichtman was a political hack that often appeared as an "expert" in Voting Rights Act trials long ago, I cross-examined him for two days in one. He actually testified, IIRC, that the opposing experts' calculations about voting patterns were wrong because they had used a 10% figure when the correct figure that he had used was .1. No kidding. One of the judges on my three-judge panel started laughing. Courts for too long have farmed out their fact-finding duties to the so-called "experts."

Regarding lack of trust in the 'experts': -From my decades of reading on 'Anthropogenic Climate Disruption' (I think that's what the Left is still calls it), the whole thing is the biggest SCAM in world history. -Early on in the Covid government-and-media induced panic, I was reading that pathologists were finding large, rubbery blood clots in the veins of people who had taken the Covid shot, then died. These clots had never been seen before. Prominent medical scientists who even began to question The Shot (I will not call it a vaccine) were 'cancelled'- their social media accounts were removed, they were locked out of their labs, licenses revoked.... just for asking questions! This is NOT how REAL Science works! -Today's example: Last Friday, DNI Tulsi Gabbard released evidence that the whole 'Russia Collusion' was cooked up by Obama, and instituted by Clapper, Brennen and the rest of the evil ones, using the fake Steele documents paid for by the HildeBeast. Years of Special Prosecutors, Congressional hearings, two Impeachments, etc. etc...... ALL FROM A Democ'RAT- run HOAX! As of Today, there is NO MENTION of Tulsi's release on the ABC (AllBarackChannel) 'news' website! Complete RADIO SILENCE. The 'More Americans who Get Their News from ABC'.... are completely IGNORANT that the whole thing was a HOAX! Dang right I DON'T TRUST THE LYING "EXPERTS:!

For decades, the United States stood as the embodiment of capitalism’s promise—an open market economy where innovation, investment, and individual enterprise fueled not just prosperity, but unprecedented global power. Throughout the 20th century, the U.S. leveraged its financial systems, corporate reach, technological leadership, and cultural influence to build an international order shaped largely in its image. China studied that success story—and decided to rewrite it.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) survived a brutal character assassination attempt. He’s not going anywhere, though his staff might, because young Democrats are raging antisemites, woke acolytes, and all-around insane. Fetterman is a committed liberal; he’s not a conservative. But to the younger crowd, he might as well be a Nazi, especially with his ardent support for Israel. He also thinks that striking Iran’s nuclear facilities should be on the table, but that’s another matter.

In February, Georgia's heartbeat law, which restricts abortion after a discernable heartbeat is detected (around six weeks) except in the cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother, was once again upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court in a 6-1 decision. But for a faction of life advocates known as "abortion abolitionists," so-called heartbeat bills do not stop abortions from happening. Their aim is to change this, making it illegal to have one.

The political world spends a lot of time discussing former President Donald Trump's lead over the Republican field in national polls -- currently at 45.4%, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. But, of course, the race will unfold as a series of state contests, beginning in Iowa on Jan. 15, New Hampshire on Jan. 23, Nevada on Feb. 8 and South Carolina on Feb. 24. By then, Republicans should have a pretty good idea who their 2024 presidential nominee will be.

Regardless of any delusions you, I, or anyone else may harbor on this issue, the odds that Donald Trump will be saddled with at least one FELONY conviction out of the dozens he is currently charged with are exceedingly high. It doesn’t even matter whether the charges are with or without merit. If a firing squad is pointing 91 rounds at someone, at least one of them is gonna hit the target. This means that this time next year, instead of campaigning or even accepting the GOP nomination in person, the former president could either be in prison or on house arrest, playing golf with an ankle bracelet.

Though it is finally cooling, lingering effects are still seen with the cultural furor surrounding the beer brand Bud Light. In 2020, amid the Black Lives Matter upheaval seen across the country, companies were bending the knee on a regular basis. Many brands and corporations came out with statements and pledges about altering their practices and evolving their corporate structures, with "diversity" being thrown about in their mea culpa. Of course, lost in these self-congratulatory announcements was the unspoken admission they did not realize they were making: If you are promising to no longer be "racist," that means you are stating you had previously been a racist company.

Independent journalist Mike McCormick served as a White House stenographer during the Obama administration, an experience that provided him with both insider knowledge and a unique perspective. In a recent Substack post, McCormick questioned why, less than two weeks prior to former President Donald Trump’s inauguration, the Obama administration chose to give the “green light” to lift the moratorium on federal funding for gain-of-function research, or research intended to increase the lethality or the transmissibility of a pathogen.

Trump to seek a second term as president increased, significantly, in the aftermath of the FBI swoop-down on his Mar-a-Lago home, August 8. What if this is just as Democrat Machiavellians figured? What if the Democrat political masterminds (definitely not including our hapless president) believe that their best chance to hold the presidency in 2025 would be if Donald J. Trump is the GOP candidate in 2024? Think about it. The Democrats, by now — those who direct party strategy — know Mr. Trump inside-out.

It’s possible that the Democrats’ decision to use COVID to gain a political advantage in the 2020 election and beyond may have triggered a powerful Black Swan event. Even as they succeeded in destroying the U.S. economy and weaponizing public schools, they may unintentionally have set the U.S. on a new and wonderfully beneficial path: Turning women into stay-at-home mothers who have removed their children from the state’s indoctrination. I don’t know whether the left, through Fauci, worked with China to create and release COVID. Whatever its origins, COVID gave the left the major epidemic disease it wanted to jumpstart the “Great Reset.”
