What if the Democrats want Trump to run
for president again?

Susan Arnold, writing at Townhall, August 11, reported that Republican support for Donald J. Trump to seek a second term as president increased, significantly, in the aftermath of the FBI swoop-down on his Mar-a-Lago home, August 8. What if this is just as Democrat Machiavellians figured? What if the Democrat political masterminds (definitely not including our hapless president) believe that their best chance to hold the presidency in 2025 would be if Donald J. Trump is the GOP candidate in 2024?
Think about it. The Democrats, by now — those who direct party strategy — know Mr. Trump inside-out.

The author is a dimwit, and assumes several falsehoods to be fact. Biden did NOT win the last election, it was stolen via vote fraud in multiple states.
Trump running again is their worst nightmare, especially after they have just increased his support dramatically with their treasonous political abuse of the legal system.

If one assumes, as many do, that the elections are rigged, there's no sense worrying about who the Republican nominee will be, whether Trump, DeSantis, or Larry Hogan. It's a lost cause then, isn't it? If one accepts that the last time around was poorly investigated and the proof of fraud was regularly ignored by Congress, the state legislatures, the courts, law enforcement, etc., one must believe that will happen again. Again, a lost cause. What are you otherwise going to do about it?
One must also then ask why top-shelf Republicans accept this continued fraud silently, or fighting to undermine the argument. One might ask why SIX Republican state legislatures showed virtually zero interest last time around, after "upset" Biden victories.
I will submit that this truly began in 2018 when that stalwart Republican Speaker Ryan sure looked like he and his party threw the midterms to create a Democrat majority in the chamber that impeaches Presidents. It eventually did, and failed to build a case for conviction. Impeachment SHOULD be the death knell politically, but like Clinton, PDT survived.
And that brings us to the '20 selection...a truly UNIPARTY production as seen in those six states noted. The GOPe wanted PDT gone as much as the Dems. He was simply bad for business. They fired another impeachment silver bullet at PDT and missed their mark again. And now he's potentially back, returning from Elbe, his Grande Armee of Trumpistas on the shores waiting to reform and fight for the Emperor. The UNIPARTY's investment could go south if nothing is done...and soon.
And now you're seeing that. Trump taking the Fifth...what's he got to hide? His residence is raided by the FBI. Melania's underwear drawers are rifled for nuclear secrets along with the pried-open safe. And this is just the beginning. Napoleon will not be allowed back from Elbe.
And that takes us then back to normalcy. The UNIPARTY isn't concerned about anyone else. Politicians understand the game, and respect the rules if not directly into the corruption themselves. Frankly, fixing an election isn't cheap. I doubt it would happen under "normal" circumstances, which means any election not involving FPDT.
Remember the Tea Party!

This article is almost too stupid to bother with. Core problem: the author says that the "the Democrats, by now, know Trump inside and out". ANYONE who supports Trump has a far better handle on who he is than almost anyone who opposes him. Most of those who oppose him have never made the first attempt to take off the blinders and listen to the man and to watch what he does.

This strategy worked so well for the Dems in 2016.

I don't care if they do or if they don't. They will never come up with a candidate who can win after the disaster of the Biden administration. Some of them may say they are voting Democrat, but in the privacy of the voting booth Democrats will vote their pocket.

The author makes this comment, "If voters elected Biden in 2020 over Trump, wouldn't they be likely to vote for the Democrat over Mr. Trump in 2024?" and goes on from there. But my thinking is that the author's basic premise might be correct, except that they may be figuring, "If people bought that Biden got 81,000 votes in 2020, won't those same people buy that the Democrat running against Trump in 2024 got however many votes we need to manufacture to beat him?" That is, they may want Trump to be the Republican nominee because they calculate their voter fraud would be more believable against Trump than against another potential candidate.
