Progressive Representative Tells Jewish

A Democratic representative told homeland security adviser Stephen Miller, who is Jewish, to go back to “1930’s Germany” in a fiery X exchange on Wednesday. Miller posted, “NYC is the clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when it fails to control migration,” referring to socialist Zohran Mamdani winning the Democratic primary for mayor. Representative Mark Pocan (D., Wis.) calmly responded, “Racist ***. Go back to 1930’s Germany.” X users were quick to point out that saying this to a Jewish man is a bad look. For example, the National Republican Congressional Committee called it “just the latest in a long line of outrageous, disgusting antisemitism” from Pocan.

Pocan is of Turkish ancestry and his religion is unknown. He is married to another man. Perhaps he might consider that 1930’s Germany would not be too kind to him, either.

Coffee prompts me to write a very long screed but I will keep it brief: The Democrats are converting - or reverting - to a mindless mob. All pretense of intellectualism, reason, even adulthood have been jettisoned in favor of tantrums and name-calling. The older party members are making fools of themselves in the process - even bigger fools when they leave bitchy little staffers to handle their social media traffic.

After getting schlonged by President Trump in November, Democrats did what they always do after a big loss: entered a cocoon of denial. Post-election poll after poll showed 2024’s Big Loser, Kamala Harris, with a commanding lead over her closest rivals, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). What a difference six months can make. Not only has Kamala Kollapsed in the latest poll of 2028 Democrat contenders, no one’s excited about her potential run for California governor. And now we come to the poll…

The essence of deterrence is credibility. The best way to stop Russia from attacking even a small NATO country — one of the Baltic states, say — is for Vladimir Putin to be convinced that the risk of major retaliation is too great to take. This is why President Trump’s reaction to the commitment by NATO members at their recent summit to more than double their defense-spending target is welcome, even if a partial opt-out for Spain is not. NATO, said Trump, was not a “rip-off,” high praise from this president. NATO’s European members “really love their countries . . . and we’re here to help them.” Critically, Trump emphasized

The Islamic Republic of Iran nearly succeeded in assassinating former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, according to a new book called "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America," which was obtained by The Washington Post one month ahead of its publication in July. The report published by The Washington Post on Friday cited the book saying that the time and place where the assassination nearly succeeded was while Pompeo was in a hotel in Paris three years ago. The book provides no further details than that, the report said. Last September, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and his campaign were informed by intelligence

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in Trump v. CASA, Inc., released Friday, finally put the brakes on the reckless abuse of nationwide injunctions by lower courts—and has Democrats in full meltdown mode. The left’s favorite judicial weapon just got neutered, and the hypocrisy is impossible to ignore. The liberal wing of the court didn’t do itself any favors, either. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissent was so horrible that Justice Amy Coney Barrett felt compelled to call it out in the majority opinion. But Justice Elena Kagan’s credibility also took a direct hit. In a stunning display of judicial flip-flopping, Kagan’s own words from 2022 have come back to haunt her,

The news is better than we thought, and it was already pretty good. "...if all Americans eligible to vote in 2024 had cast ballots, the overall margin in the popular vote likely would not have been much different." Trump still would have won.

As RedState reported, the Trump administration scored a major victory on Friday after the Supreme Court ruled that district court-level nationwide injunctions exceeded judicial authority. That will throw a wrench into the left-wing strategy of seeking universal relief in a select few left-wing jurisdictions across the country and hopefully return some actual balance to the separation of powers within the U.S. government. Of course, while the decision was a victory for common sense and for voters who would prefer judges not overstep their bounds to essentially operate as president, it was a defeat for Democrats who have relied on that abuse to remain in power even when they lose.

Our South Carolina neighborhood has green cans for garbage and blue cans for recycling. All our neighbors dutifully separate their garbage. We don’t, and we don’t for a very specific reason. What I discovered a couple of years ago is that, while different trucks drive around collecting blue and green cans on garbage day, at the end of the shift, the trucks dump all the garbage into the same landfill. It’s a scam that, according to my local representative, makes people feel good about themselves. When I lived in Marin County, California, we also had to separate our garbage. The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday handed down its ruling in the parental rights case of Mahmoud v. Taylor. In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS decided that parents do have the right to opt their elementary school-aged (pre-K through 8th grade) children out of classroom instruction that may include materials on gender and sexuality. The three dissenters were Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito states that the parents involved were likely to succeed in their claim that the school system, by not allowing the opt-out on LGBTQ-themed classroom activities, was an unconstitutional burden on their religious liberties.
