SCOTUS Decisively Ends Lower Court Assault
On Trump Admin With Nationwide Injunctions

The Supreme Court decisively ended lower courts’ ability to block policies issued by the Trump administration using nationwide injunctions on Friday. In a 6-3 ruling, the majority found that lower courts exceeded their authority by issuing a nationwide block on President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship restrictions. “The injunctions before us today reflect a more recent development: district courts asserting the power to prohibit enforcement of a law or policy against anyone,”

Comments:

Now President Trump can go back to being POTUS.

The outcome would be a whole lot more decisive without the following (per Amy Coney Barrett's majority opinion) : “These injunctions—known as ‘universal injunctions’—likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has granted to federal courts. likely? I hear 'perhaps'. After another can is kicked down the road, maybe the majority will be truly 'decisive'.

I agree with poster 4. There are no real consequences for the judges. Just stop doing what you were doing. Not even a time out. It has been decided, so at least the Trump team can IGNORE them now. What the black rogues will do is issue rulings by state, and guess what, they'll be more of them. They need to make examples out of them before they enact operation obstruct v2. If Bondi can give us the stats on how many of these cases came from x number of judges, she should push that something be done about these few judges. Right?

Finally! The Supreme Court at last has done its job. This is huge. I believe it will be the single most consequential decision of this court for many years to come. It will unleash this President and allow him to finally implement his vision. As for the 3 Twisted Sisters, they make a mockery of the very idea of an objective court. They vote in lock step on almost every single issue. And as for the ideological district judges, they should be subject to "3 strikes and you're out" policy for judges who get struck down on fundamental constitutional cases.

On his first day in office — of his second term, not his wasted first term — President Trump signed an executive order ending anchor babies, the practice of treating kids born to illegals on U.S. soil as full-fledged citizens. (Apparently, our Founding Fathers wanted to ensure that poverty-stricken third-worlders who force their way into our country would never have to leave.) Three federal district court judges promptly issued (you’ll never guess) nationwide injunctions blocking Trump’s order. The Supreme Court is expected to rule on those injunctions any day now. It may be that the anchor baby lunacy is . . .

After days of publicly mulling whether to join Israel in its military campaign against Iran, President Trump directed the U.S. military on Saturday to execute a complex attack on three of the nation’s nuclear sites with several American warplanes and submarines. Hours later, Mr. Trump declared the mission a “spectacular military success,” saying during a national address from the White House that U.S. forces had “completely and totally obliterated,” Iran’s nuclear program. “There’s no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close,” he said, standing in front of Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Washington — Former President Joe Biden will be in Galveston, Texas, on Thursday to join a Juneteenth Celebration Service at a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church. The event will be held at the Reedy Chapel AME Church, one of the locations where an order announcing the end of slavery in Texas was read on June 19, 1865, two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, according to the church. In 2021, Biden signed into law a measure that made June 19, or Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. Called the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act

It would be amusing if it weren't so serious. Last weekend's expressions of supposed free speech were almost universally called demonstrations by the media and "mostly peaceful" by some. A few congressional Republicans have called for an investigation after reports that some NGOs were used by foreign and liberal individuals and domestic organizations to funnel money that underwrote some of the expenses, like the cost of well-made signs.

A reliance on net zero energy left Spain and Portugal vulnerable to a mass blackout engulfing the region. In what is believed to be Europe’s largest power cut, tens of millions of people were left without electricity, while flights were grounded, trains halted and whole cities left without power, internet access or other vital services. The key culprit for the blackout appears to be green energy. Green energy, unlike gas and coal, does not provide synchronous inertia that stabilizes the frequency in the network.

What I discovered a couple of years ago is that, while different trucks drive around collecting blue and green cans on garbage day, at the end of the shift, the trucks dump all the garbage into the same landfill. It happened yesterday at the Supreme Court. The case was an appeal of a district court order issuing a “universal injunction” against President Trump’s executive order seeking to abolish “birthright citizenship.” Birthright citizenship is the kind you get if you’re born in America even if your parents are here illegally. The 14th Amendment seems to provide for it, although there is a non-frivolous argument that it does not.

As RedState reported, the Trump administration scored a major victory on Friday after the Supreme Court ruled that district court-level nationwide injunctions exceeded judicial authority. That will throw a wrench into the left-wing strategy of seeking universal relief in a select few left-wing jurisdictions across the country and hopefully return some actual balance to the separation of powers within the U.S. government. Of course, while the decision was a victory for common sense and for voters who would prefer judges not overstep their bounds to essentially operate as president, it was a defeat for Democrats who have relied on that abuse to remain in power even when they lose.
