According to an FBI affidavit, Thomas was found connected to several E-Gold accounts back in 2005 and 2006. An E-Gold account was like a digital wallet but was shut down by the US government, as it was reported that these accounts helped hide money for people involved in child pornography. Then, in May, the FBI got permission from the court to track LeGro's internet activity as part of their investigation. According to NBC Washington, Thomas is currently held in custody until a detention hearing, scheduled for Wednesday. https://www.soapcentral.com/pop-culture/who-thomas-pham-legro-washington-post-journalist-arrested-fbi-allegedly-possessing-child-pornography

I overheard a conversation at work yesterday between a guy I suspected is a bit left of center and another. The lefty thought that what the decision means is that people who object to LGBTQ material being presented in the classroom will pull their children out of school, period, and “let them be ignorant”. That’s what reasonable are up against, all the things liberals know that aren’t true. It was a civilized conversation though, so in the end Mr. Leftist seemed to understand what the decision really means. Then again, it’s as if government schools and ignorance are mutually exclusive.

An armed individual or individuals is currently shooting at first responders at the scene of an ongoing brush fire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, likely killing two first responders, according to officials. The ambush took place as fire crews were responding to a brush fire on Canfield Mountain. Two died as a result of the shooting, Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris said at a Sunday afternoon press briefing. The official said he believed but hadn’t been able to fully confirm the deceased are firefighters. No police officers have been hit in the shooting so far, he said, though first responders continue to take active “sniper fire”

Intercepted Iranian communications downplayed the extent of damage caused by US strikes on Iran's nuclear program, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing four people familiar with classified intelligence circulating within the US government. A source, who declined to be named, confirmed that account to Reuters but said there were serious questions about whether the Iranian officials were being truthful, and described the intercepts as unreliable indicators. The report by the Post is the latest, however, to raise questions about the extent of the damage to Iran's nuclear program. A leaked preliminary assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency cautioned the strikes may have only set back Iran by months.

For more than 16 years of Democrat presidents: from Barack Obama to Joseph "AutoPen" Biden, Americans have been told that we are a horrible nation that must examine and root out our racism, white supremacy, and become subservient on the global stage. Tragically, far too many people and industries lapped it up and acted accordingly, which is why we are where we are today. The American people were finally fed up with this posture and ready to dare to hope and fight for America again. This is why Donald J. Trump is president and Kamala D. Harris is not. The Sinaloa Cartel used Mexico City’s camera system to track the whereabouts of FBI agents in Mexico as a way to find who they met with, a new report by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) revealed. The cartel also carried out other hacking efforts targeting potential informants who were intimidated or killed. The revelations were part of an audit on the FBI’s “efforts to mitigate the effects of ubiquitous technical surveillance.” One of the examples listed by the OIG revealed that in 2018, the Sinaloa Cartel hired a hacker who provided “a menu of services.” In one incident, the hacker exploited the cell phone

President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” cleared a key procedural hurdle in the U.S. Senate late Saturday night, pushing the massive spending package one step closer to the president’s desk. The vote on a motion to proceed to final debate on the bill passed with 51 yeas and 49 nays. Every Democrat and two Republicans, Sens. Thom Tillis, N.C., and Rand Paul, Ky., voted against it. The actual voting took hours and the measure only passed after three Republican holdouts — Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Rick Scott of Florida and Cynthia Lummus of Wyoming — folded and voted yes.

The essence of deterrence is credibility. The best way to stop Russia from attacking even a small NATO country — one of the Baltic states, say — is for Vladimir Putin to be convinced that the risk of major retaliation is too great to take. This is why President Trump’s reaction to the commitment by NATO members at their recent summit to more than double their defense-spending target is welcome, even if a partial opt-out for Spain is not. NATO, said Trump, was not a “rip-off,” high praise from this president. NATO’s European members “really love their countries . . . and we’re here to help them.” Critically, Trump emphasized

The book provides no further details than that, the report said. Last September, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and his campaign were informed by intelligence

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in Trump v. CASA, Inc., released Friday, finally put the brakes on the reckless abuse of nationwide injunctions by lower courts—and has Democrats in full meltdown mode. The left’s favorite judicial weapon just got neutered, and the hypocrisy is impossible to ignore. The liberal wing of the court didn’t do itself any favors, either. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissent was so horrible that Justice Amy Coney Barrett felt compelled to call it out in the majority opinion. Our South Carolina neighborhood has green cans for garbage and blue cans for recycling. All our neighbors dutifully separate their garbage. We don’t, and we don’t for a very specific reason. What I discovered a couple of years ago is that, while different trucks drive around collecting blue and green cans on garbage day, at the end of the shift, the trucks dump all the garbage into the same landfill. It’s a scam that, according to my local representative, makes people feel good about themselves. When I lived in Marin County, California, we also had to separate our garbage. It’s not driven by race. It’s more of an assessment of what neighborhoods are being under-taxed versus over-taxed,” Mamdani told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

It happened yesterday at the Supreme Court. The case was an appeal of a district court order issuing a “universal injunction” against President Trump’s executive order seeking to abolish “birthright citizenship.” Birthright citizenship is the kind you get if you’re born in America even if your parents are here illegally. The 14th Amendment seems to provide for it, although there is a non-frivolous argument that it does not.
