A New York state lawmaker called out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., over her upbringing after she referred to herself as a tough "Bronx girl" during an internet spat in which she traded jabs with President Donald Trump. State Assemblyman Matt Slater, a Republican, called out the progressive firebrand, who represents portions of the Bronx and Queens, and shared an image of her during her freshman year in suburban Yorktown High School, almost an hour north of the Bronx. "If you’re a BX girl then why are you in my Yorktown yearbook? Give it up already," Slater tweeted.

We went through all this when she first emerged spouting the sane lies. Her father an architect, as I recall. Her Mom scrubbed toilets for a living? Seriously? I remember her flaky live-in boyfriend, Videos of her dancing on a rooftop at Boston U. She works so hard at self-glorification.

The whole AOC story has never made any sense. Supposedly the product of a poor-working class family, her father was an architect, an occupation requiring significant schooling before required certification in the State of NY with the ability to command a commensurate income. Reportedly a brilliant high school student, she attended Boston University which, while she was there, cost $40K/year in tuition, fees, room and board. She graduated cum laude in international relations and economics but made a living as a barmaid after college. She worked as such when she decided to run for office and, just like that, was elected as a national Congressional Representative. As a newly elected Congresswoman from the Bronx, a borough she’d only lived in briefly, she publicly mouthed off on economics and revealed herself to be imbecilic in the very subject in which she majored and had graduated with honors. She is a woman of the “cute but stupid” variety and her accomplishments in Congress are nil but she seems to be in the news a lot.

She has been seduced by the Deep State. She prefers to spend her time in DC, hoping to harvest millions of dollars during her political career, while being wined and dined as a Congress critter. I keep reading about how her voters are fed up with her. Perhaps one day they will throw her out of office.

What an impressive sight it was Sunday, when the futuristic B-2 stealth bombers sliced through the powder-blue Missouri sky on their triumphant return to home base in the American heartland after dropping their Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs on Iran’s underground nuclear sites. The strikes were “a spectacular military success,” President Trump told the world Saturday night, after emerging from the Situation Room. “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” he said.

Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman brushed aside far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s clamoring to impeach President Trump over his Saturday strikes against three of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Fetterman (D-Pa.), who lauded the attack, warned that Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) threat reduces the significance of impeachment, which he implied should be reserved for more extreme circumstances. “Of course, no, she knows it. I know it. We all know it,” Fetterman told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” when asked about the possibility of Trump getting impeached over the strikes.

1. What are we to make of Saturday night’s destruction of the three Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan? Trump and the U.S. military took a great risk and succeeded in astounding fashion. Operationally, the destruction of the nuclear sites seems to have gone perfectly, in contrast to a long history of America’s Middle East debacles from the failed 1980 Carter rescue mission to the 2021 flight from Kabul.

Democrats in Washington are again talking impeachment. Politicians and pundits are expressing outrage over President Donald Trump attacking Iran without a prior authorization of Congress. It is the Claude Rains School of Constitutional Law where politicians are "shocked, shocked" that Trump is using the authority that they accepted in Democratic predecessors. Fourteen years ago this week, I was in court litigating that very issue when President Barack Obama attacked Libya. Most Democrats supported or were silent on the action.

"Real Time" host Bill Maher and Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, hammered Whoopi Goldberg and "The View" on Friday after the co-host claimed that life for Black Americans is equivalent to women living under Iran's oppressive theocratic regime. Maher claimed that Democrats took a step "back to sanity" after The New York Times took a more "sensible liberal, not crazy woke" position on transgender issues. He then asserted that the second step Democrats should take is to "do something about ‘The View’" after Goldberg's comment comparing life for Black Americans to living under Iran's brutal regime.

Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term.

Followers of the news – which presents the president’s first months in office as a kleptocratic frenzy marked by destructive economic policies and naked assaults on the Constitution – would expect these numbers

This is a fair question from Matt Continetti, who recites some of the relevant quotations before posing it. I'll add to the list. President Bill Clinton described a nuclearlzed Iran as intolerable and signed the Iran Nonproliferation Act of 2000, "which authorize[d] him to take punitive action against individuals or organizations known to be providing material aid to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs in Iran." President George W. Bush intoned in 2008 that "permitting the world’s leading sponsor of terror to possess the world’s deadliest weapon would be an unforgivable betrayal of future generations."

Zohran Mamdani, winner of the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, is overflowing with Marxist ideas of how to govern that are so lousy that it’s hard to believe he got more than his own vote in Tuesday’s election. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores. Mamdani’s campaign literature – overflowing with empty leftist jargon – says if elected he “will create a network of city-owned grocery stores focused on keeping prices low, not making a profit.”

The Iranian foreign ministry admitted that their nuclear facilities were “badly damaged” by U.S. strikes over the weekend after reports surfaced about a low-confidence U.S. intelligence assessment suggesting otherwise. Numerous outlets reported Wednesday on an early intelligence assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency suggesting the U.S. strikes only set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months. The White House strongly disputed the intelligence assessment and criticized the leakers within the intelligence apparatus. “This alleged ‘assessment’ is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.

They celebrated the failure of America and Israel. Hardly mentioned in CNN’s report was that the document itself noted that its conclusions were merely “preliminary” and were expressed with only “low confidence.”
