Los Angeles is home to a reported 1.8 million Spanish-speaking residents, but rarely do they hear the national anthem sung in that language. On Saturday night at Dodger Stadium, with 51,548 fans on their feet and television cameras trained on the field, Vanessa Hernández stood behind home plate and sang the national anthem, which is traditionally sung before every sporting event in the United States. Only this time, it was different. (Snip) Wearing a shirt adorned with the flag of her family’s homeland, Hernández’s voice quivered with emotion as she reached the final line, her eyes welling with tears. But

Why don't these idiots move to the homeland of their family, if they think it's so great? The greatest day in America, will be the day I don't have to push 1 for English and anything I purchase won't require a ream of paper because it has to have every language ever thought of printed with the directions.

B'H Nauseating puff piece. Antics like this got the NFL in an attendance slump. Rightly so. Dodgers said she was told NOT to sing in spanish. Did nothing to stop her mid stanza. The author of the piece wrote: "It was a moment as bold as it was beautiful, a protest wrapped in melody, echoing far beyond the confines of the ballpark." Went on to describe her "courage" in glowing terms. Nuts. Interesting to follow and see whether the Dodgers act on this disgrace at all. OP: The mexican president has whined about losing all the $$$ sent "home" by the illegals -- perhaps that's the issue. As President Trump said, "They are not sending their best."

FTA: "But her defiance was clear. It was for her people — para mi gente — a stand against a system that, as she put it, is “ripping families apart” amid a wave of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that have sent fear cascading through Latino communities in Los Angeles since June 6." Nobody is "ripping families apart" if parents came to the US the right way. If it's true that her parents have been citizens her entire life, those families are not "her people." She's appropriating a culture built around not obeying American laws and living here illegally without meaningful consequences. It takes a misplaced sense of entitlement to insult Americans for wanting their laws enforced. No matter how much they have taken from Americans over the years, the illegal alien lobby is never satisfied. It's a kind of discrimination that has no place on our soil, no matter how entitled the beneficiaries may feel about their "right" to take advantage of American citizens in perpetuity because it's a way of life for them.

Sounds like baseball big guys don't care about those attending and spending money. So in my humble opinion, they need to stop going to these games. Hit the big guys where it really hurts, their pockets. They have chosen rude singers and another flag other than the US flag. I wouldn't spend a penny on anything major league baseball.

If they want “their country” back so bad, Mexico should pay us back the $15mil plus inflation rate and interest. My wild math estimates 22 billion if nothing was done to the land over the 177 years since the purchase. With all the development over the years, I’ll just say Mexico ain’t got that kind of money! Of course, rioters and democrats, being the criminal dummies they are, couldn’t care less about numbers.

A lot of women fit the latter description after losing their way from 50 years of out of control feminists. Don't invite her to sing anywhere else. Also, whoever put up images of the Pride flag at the Met's stadium should be fired. In both places true patriotic Americans can chose to stay home rather than patronize people who don't appreciate the dream and promise of America. America was founded to be a free, law-abiding nation where people joined in unity despite their different origins, with respect, dignity and tolerance. What do we get from Democrats and the Elites? Division, slavery, and other typical feudalistic garbage that we fought to escape from at the founding! The American dream still exists! It is there for anyone to grasp. But it takes hard work and humility to earn the respect of fellow Americans. Who is an American? Everyone on Earth who follows the dream of its promise. You don't need to live in America, to be an American. Make your own Americas where you live. Let the Dream become the world's dream.

Imagine what would have happened in that stadium if this tart had pulled this stunt in the 1940s, 50s or 60s? I wouldn't have been pretty. The only thing more disgusting than the singer's performance was the NBC report. I look forward to the day when NBC, CBS, and ABC are bankrupt.

New Yorkers voting in the Democratic Primary are questioning why Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani is listed first, at the very top of the ballot sheet. Mamdani — an assemblyman who has gained momentum in recent polling to catch up with favorite Andrew Cuomo — has copped backlash for his refusal to acknowledge Israel having a right to exist as a Jewish state and his involvement in the “BDS” movement, which seeks to divert US funding to the country. The 33-year-old candidate, who is a Muslim, has also raised eyebrows with his pie in the sky policy proposals, such as city-owned
