Video shows federal agents ramming a car in Los Angeles to catch an accused rioter who authorities say punched a U.S. border agent.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a video on Wednesday showing agents arresting Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho, a U.S. citizen who allegedly assaulted an officer during the anti-ICE riots and tried to flee.
“This was no hit and run. This was a targeted arrest of a violent rioter who punched a CBP officer. When Homeland Security Investigations tried to arrest Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho for the assault, he attempted to flee. He was ultimately arrested and taken into custody,” DHS said in a post

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem landed in riot-scarred Los Angeles on Thursday and immediately put the nation on notice: the IRS is now involved, and the hunt for the financial backers of violent unrest has officially begun.
Noem, flanked by law enforcement and federal officials, announced that the Internal Revenue Service has been deployed to trace the money behind the chaos — including potential funding from radical NGOs, militant unions, and other shadowy groups.
“We also have the IRS here, helping us track how these violent protesters are funded—what NGOs are out there, what unions, what other individuals may be funding these violent perpetrators who infiltrate protests,” Noem said during the press conference.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appeared before the Senate Finance Committee on Thursday to talk about President Trump's reconciliation bill and how it affects taxes and economic policy overall.
On Wednesday, as we wrote, it was the House Ways and Means Committee's turn to hear from him and during part of the back-and-forth, the cabinet secretary had the misfortune of tangling with one Dem representative who accused him of sexism. He was also questioned by Stacey Plaskett, the delegate from the Virgin Islands, which my colleague Nick Arama described as an "encounter with a crazy aftermath":
Bessent politely tells her she's incorrect....Plaskett tries to scold him like he's a child.

NFL teams may be putting in calls to a bystander who took action against a rioter in Los Angeles after he delivered a perfect form tackle to a rioter.
A video has gone viral showing the altercation, which happened amid a week of violence perpetrated by left-wing anarchists. In it, you can see a man dressed in black verbally accosting LASD deputies wearing protective gear before he throws a bottle at one of them. The deputies then opened fire with non-lethal rounds, causing the man to retreat.
That's when a bystander, who can be seen in a white shirt, gets involved and delivers a lesson the rioter will never forget.

A federal judge late Thursday ruled that the federalization of parts of California's National Guard by President Donald Trump was "illegal," and ordered Trump to return control of the Guard to state Gov. Gavin Newsom "forthwith."
But Judge Charles Breyer stayed his temporary restraining order from taking effect until 3 p.m. ET on Friday to allow the Trump administration to appeal his decision. The administration promptly did just that, asking the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to block Breyer's ruling from taking effect.

Today, the governors of three “sanctuary states” will try to explain to lawmakers why it is official state policy to protect those who are in the U.S. illegally – including violent felons – from deportation.
Do these governors know that millions of American citizens have fled their sanctuary states in the past four years? Do they care?
The hearing – which will feature Illinois’ JB Pritzker, Minnesota’s Tim Walz, and New York’s Kathy Hochul – should be a lively one, even if the preening California Gov. Gavin Newsom isn’t there to defend the riots his policies have unleashed.

In what I can only describe as a masterclass in political demolition, Rep. Elise Stefanik delivered a withering takedown of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul during a House committee hearing on sanctuary state policies. The exchange was so brutal and methodical that it may have effectively ended Hochul's political career before it even had a chance to flourish.
Stefanik, who is reportedly considering a gubernatorial run herself, came armed with facts while Hochul appeared woefully unprepared to defend her own policies. From the opening moments, this wouldn't be a typical political theater exchange — this was a prosecutor methodically building her case against a defendant who had no viable defense.

Ketamine is a manufactured drug that was originally designed as an anesthetic, and is still used for that purpose. The effect is similar to that of other hallucinogenic drugs like LSD or naturally-occurring psilocybin (“magic mushrooms”).

Stop the presses. Gavin Newsom is running for president.
The governor of California has, for months, tried to tell anyone who will listen that he's not a candidate for president. After his nationally televised "save democracy" speech on Tuesday night, there's no mistaking his intent to make a grab for the brass ring.
"California is no stranger to immigration enforcement. But instead of focusing on undocumented immigrants with serious criminal records and people with final deportation orders—a strategy both parties have long supported—this administration is pushing mass deportations," claimed Newsom in his short speech.
I believe that Newsom was attempting to set the record for the most lies, half-truths, and exaggerations

U.S. Secretary of State / National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio, and Director of National Intelligence ODNI Tulsi Gabbard continue making background moves well worth noticing.
♦ Secretary Marco Rubio has moved forward with instructions to fire all overseas USAID staff.(snip)Meanwhile, in an ancillary story that only begins to make sense in hindsight, we discover that DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, a name very familiar to those who followed the Trump-Russia collusion nonsense, was removed from his DOJ-NSD oversight role and has been transferred to the Federal Reserve office.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz begins his new position on June 30th, with the announcement date noted as June 6th:

They shouldn’t have trouble making bail.
Cops cuffed 86 demonstrators at a rowdy anti-ICE rally in Lower Manhattan Tuesday, among them the daughter of a Moroccan actor, a self-proclaimed poet from an upscale college and a coed whose family owns a posh home in the Hamptons, The Post has learned.
“My sense is, the vast majority of the 2,500 people that were there, were there to protest peacefully,” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Fox 5 News. “There was a smaller group of a few hundred where we did have to make arrests. Some of them were looking for trouble.”

The FBI is investigating what is fueling the riots against immigration enforcement in Los Angeles, the agency’s director Kash Patel said.
“The FBI is investigating any and all monetary connections responsible for these riots,” Patel told The Epoch Times in response to rising concerns about possible Chinese influence behind the chaos.
One group backing the unrest is the Party for Socialism and Liberation, a communist political party linked to networks funded by pro-Beijing tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog’s board of governors on Thursday formally found that Iran isn’t complying with its nuclear obligations for the first time in 20 years, a move that could lead to further tensions and set in motion an effort to restore United Nations sanctions on Tehran later this year.
Iran reacted immediately, saying it will establish a new enrichment facility “in a secure location” and that “other measures are also being planned.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has no choice but to respond to this political resolution,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said in a joint statement.

The first five months of the Trump administration have seen Democrat and media opponents completely lose their minds. When not screeching about threats to Democracy, they’ve been howling about massive spending cuts, warning about runaway inflation, and predicting a collapse in tax revenues.
Not one of these is coming to pass.
The latest monthly spending and revenue data from the Treasury Department. shows that from February through May of this year, federal spending was $37 billion higher than those same months last year.
Got that? Higher.

One of the smoking guns in the ongoing Trump administration probe into the COVID-19 cover-up is evidence suggesting that the Chinese suspected the novel virus may have neurological symptoms just weeks after it was officially identified, despite the fact that coronaviruses, historically, primarily affect the respiratory and digestive systems.

The United States is drawing down the presence of people who are not deemed essential to operations in the Middle East due to the potential for regional unrest, the US State Department and military said Wednesday as tensions with neighboring Iran rose amid deteriorating nuclear talks.
“President Trump is committed to keeping Americans safe, both at home and abroad. In keeping with that commitment, we are constantly assessing the appropriate personnel posture at all our embassies. Based on our latest analysis, we decided to reduce the footprint of our Mission in Iraq,” a State Department official told The Times of Israel.
Trump later confirmed
