As was widely expected, overnight in Tehran, Israel has begun a series of what it calls “preemptive strikes” against Iran. Iranian state media outlet IRNA reported repeated explosions could be heard in Tehran. (snip)Sirens were sounded in Israel as the nation prepares for long-planned counter attacks from Iran to begin. Three hours before the Israeli strikes began, President Trump released a statement saying, “We remain committed to a Diplomatic Resolution to the Iran Nuclear Issue! My entire Administration has been directed to negotiate with Iran. They could be a Great Country, but they first must completely give up hopes of obtaining a Nuclear Weapon.

According to most information flowing from the region, a second wave attack from Israel us underway (or just completed). The first wave targeting was the Iranian military leadership and nuclear scientists, the second wave hitting the nuclear installations.
We could tell from the initial targeting, the IDF were not targeting hardened installations, they were targeting people who run them where they live in the middle of the night. This appears to be confirmed by ground reporting of residences being the target with highly strategic Mossad agents on the ground doing major intelligence activity . (snip)

But Judge Charles Breyer stayed his temporary restraining order from taking effect until 3 p.m. ET on Friday to allow the Trump administration to appeal his decision. The administration promptly did just that, asking the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to block Breyer's ruling from taking effect.

Longtime Democratic Washington, D.C., Delegate to the House of Representatives Eleanor Holmes Norton told reporters Tuesday that she intends to run for reelection in 2026. Dreamliner plane bound for London with 242 people aboard crashed Thursday moments after takeoff from Ahmedabad in western India.
Video posted on social media appeared to show the jetliner descending followed by a fireball and a dark plume of smoke. It appeared to be the first fatal crash of a Boeing Dreamliner.
“It appears there are no survivors in the plane crash,” G.S. What a difference a few hours makes. Just when California Governor Gavin Newsom thought he had scored a political victory against President Trump, reality came crashing down courtesy of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
