We just reported the wild action at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) head Kristi Noem's briefing.
On Thursday, Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) tried to interrupt the briefing, and then got in a scuffle with agents on the side of the room, was hauled out, and taken down to the ground. [Tweets, videos]
Now if you look at the event, you can see the senator starts loudly interrupting, coming up the side of the room, without initially identifying himself at about 6:30 in this video. Then they stop Padilla, and he's pushing back against them as you can see in the video Bill Melugin posted.

Secret Service should definitely be protective of Noem (and all Trump’s administration)….they let their guard down on the purse-stealing. And hasn’t there recently been an order by the leader of Al Qaeda for Muslims to assassinate them all?

This will be the lead story on all of the network nightly newscasts and they’ll probably spend at least ten minutes on it.

When was he taken down? The video I saw showed him being pushed out of the room on his feet.

Hey Chuckie! What would you want the Secret Service to do if an unidentified crazy person charged you while giving a briefing, scuffled with the SS, ranted about needing to talk to you and acted aggressively? You would want them to take the person down, drag them out the door and be arrested. Chuckie would have run from the podium like a little babie and quickly left the room. He would then have condemned the Republicans for their hysterical tactics and the need for civility. He would also blame Donald Trump's divisive leadership for creating an atmosphere of hostility in Washington DC and only the Democrats could fix the problem. Democrats are getting desperate and their stunts (like this and other recent so called "oversight" visits gone bad) are backfiring on them.

He had no name tag or whatever they wear to identify themselves as Representatives or Senators and he was casually dressed. No one knew who he was when he started yelling over Noem. Sounded threatening to me. I guess Democrats want the security guards to wait until some crazy pulls out a gun and starts shooting. When they finally found out who he was, they let him go. The Senate needs to censure this bully and get a message to all of Congress that this type behavior will not be tolerated.

Another case of Democrat impunity. If you or I had done something like this we'd be sitting in a jail cell until we were arraigned the next morning.

If this clown had showed up with a suit, tie and spoken politely to the security folks, a s show some IS, he'd have been treated way differently.
What jerk. He assumed that everyone would know who he is. I never heard of him, and apparently he's too important to ask for a meeting like an adult.

This confrontation was planned/orchestrated by the Left thinking it would help them with public opinion/approval. Not a chance. Padilla looked like an out of control maniac.

I saw this encounter many times in the news. The secret service did the right thing. What I witnessed on the news, an angry man charging toward Noem. He was not polite or civilized. He looked and sounded angry and I did not hear him identify himself prior to moving toward her. Who knows he could have been some nut off the street wanting to kill Noem. Yes, the SS did the right thing. Good job guys!

Total set up, mugging it up for the TV cameras. He Wouldn't have been taken down and handcuffed if he had COMPLIED with the police. Give him the J6er treatment. Beatings, starvation, isolation, no opportunity for a speedy trial for at least 4+ years.

Poster 7, after they pushed him out of the room, FBI and SS agents had him on the ground and in handcuffs. It's on a longer video, don't know why that part isn't always shown.

This was an obnoxious political stunt. Instead of coming out of it a hero, he was humiliated. End of story. The more that video airs the worse he looks. The media and their Democrat handlers should just drop it. No one cares.

Pretty dumb side show...by this character...it shows clearly that he was the aggressor...and was looking for a take down...so his awaiting news cameras could capture all the drama...and dutifully...he went right to the awaiting cameras and cried about his mistreatment...he didn't identify himself as a senator until he was taken down by security police guarding Tulsi....was it Tulsi or Kristi...both amazing women....then like a bad movie chuck schummer goes on the television and is "upset"...to bad Israel took the democrats off the news....

First off, every member of Congress has staff who work closely with each Executive Branch Department or agency aka Congressional Liasions - one of their responsibilities is facilitating communications, visits, etc. between a Member of Congress (to include the Senate) and a Cabinet Secretary or Agency Administrator. So no excuse to just barge into the press conference without any prior coordination. This was all a stunt and quite frankly, sick of these Dems willing to face arrest (LOL) for their precious illegal aliens.
