California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state. As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy. Breitbart News reported: President Donald Trump is reportedly considering ways to pull more federal funding from the State of California, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continues to defy White House policies, despite needing money.

The National Guard will be deployed to Los Angeles County after anti-ICE protests continued to escalate Saturday afternoon, Trump administration border czar Tom Homan told Fox News Saturday.
On Saturday, tear gas was deployed near Home Depot in Paramount, California, where ICE agents were allegedly conducting a raid.
Following the raid, a violent protest broke out and several arrests were made for assault on a federal agent. In an interview with Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Homan said authorities are "stepping up" and "mobiliz[ing] to address violence and destruction

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After federal immigration authorities arrested more than 40 people Friday across Los Angeles, protesters gathered outside a federal detention center demanding their release before police in riot gear tossed tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers executed search warrants at multiple locations, including outside a clothing warehouse where a tense scene unfolded as a crowd tried to block agents from driving away. Sirens blared as protesters surrounded black SUVs and tactical vehicles. Officers threw flash bangs into the street to disperse people as they shouted and filmed the scene with their cell phones.
Joe Rogan released a new podcast featuring FBI Director Kash Patel today. At one point in the discussion Patel revealed that his house "just got swatted yesterday." These comments came about 30 minutes into the two-hour interview at the end of a long discussion of Russiagate. Patel didn't say he was blaming the swatting on anyone in particular but the implication was that this was one part of a larger campaign of harassment that has been directed his way because he has turned over documents about Russiagate to congress.

Some posited that this is what was going on after Trump’s initial response to Elon Musk’s bashing of the “Big, Beautiful Bill.” [snip]

But maybe it’s 5D chess – the kind of chess that can warp reality in such a way as to make liberals’ heads explode.
Hear us out. The left hates Trump and Musk about equally. When they were working together, the hatred toward them was turbocharged.
But what happens when Trump starts bashing Musk

China doesn't have the best track record when it comes to batteries for things like electric cars and scooters. In fact, some of these Chinese lithium batteries have an unpleasant tendency to become explodey. Granted, this is a problem with batteries like this in general, but China's quality control standards in general are, shall we say, not the greatest. From steel to batteries, China just doesn't quite measure up.
