California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state. As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy. Breitbart News reported: President Donald Trump is reportedly considering ways to pull more federal funding from the State of California, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continues to defy White House policies, despite needing money.

I like to check out some of the Hollywood sites for the comedic value. The commenters there think the whole nation would immediately collapse and beg California for forgiveness - which they shouldn't give - if Newsom does this. Like I said, pure comedic value.

When things to rightfully sour in California, Governor Gavin "Gruesome" Newsom will start with- It's Trump's Fault. Gruesome knows that he possess the power over the many millions of sickos and feral low information voters in California. The vast number of toxic and corrupt MSM "journalists" will back up the lies from Gruesome. Maybe we'll hear a peep from the Republicans. Go for it, Gov. Hairgel! We decided in the mid 19th century that states don't get to nullify federal law, so you can expect to be handcuffed by federal Marshals and jailed in another state (without bail) pending your trial -- which should be an open and shut case.

That means the Confederacy will have won the war after all. It just took 160 years to finally declare victory!!! Seriously, Cuba-fornia is playing with fire with President Trump in charge!!! The list of U.S. military and federal research facilities in California, all contributing in an outsized manner to California's economy, is quite large, and they can all be relocated to other (Red) states. Just relocating the handful of major Air Force bases in California, like Travis, Beale, March, McClellan, Los Angeles, Vandenberg and the legendary Edwards AFB, would be devastating to the state's economy. Then there are the huge Navy bases, Army installations, and of course Marine Corps bases, such as Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms, Miramar, Barstow, and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, one of the largest military training centers in the world. And then there are the federal research centers and national labs, largely connected to NASA and the Department of Energy, like the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena and the Lawrence Livermore National Lab in the Bay Area . I believe that many of the aforementioned facilities should be relocated out of California, regardless of whether Newsome is bluffing on withholding tax payments back to the federal government, especially since it is US tax dollars that funds large segments of California's economy in the first place. As a brazen "sanctuary state," having sensitive military and federal research facilities in pro open borders and Communist China-friendly California, is an inherent security risk. The list of facilities is not comprehensive but came off the top of my head due to familiarity with them from childhood throughout my working career. Not being as familiar with the Army, I did not cite the many Army forts, camps, and other installations. Coast Guard also maintains large base facilities in CA. Curtail or eliminate the state's overly massive influx of federal dollars, and California might be on par with Bangladesh as far as global economic ratings.

The National Guard will be deployed to Los Angeles County after anti-ICE protests continued to escalate Saturday afternoon, Trump administration border czar Tom Homan told Fox News Saturday. On Saturday, tear gas was deployed near Home Depot in Paramount, California, where ICE agents were allegedly conducting a raid. Following the raid, a violent protest broke out and several arrests were made for assault on a federal agent. In an interview with Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Homan said authorities are "stepping up" and "mobiliz[ing] to address violence and destruction

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After federal immigration authorities arrested more than 40 people Friday across Los Angeles, protesters gathered outside a federal detention center demanding their release before police in riot gear tossed tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers executed search warrants at multiple locations, including outside a clothing warehouse where a tense scene unfolded as a crowd tried to block agents from driving away. Sirens blared as protesters surrounded black SUVs and tactical vehicles. Officers threw flash bangs into the street to disperse people as they shouted and filmed the scene with their cell phones.

Employment in the federal government fell by 22,000 in May and is down 59,000 since January. The private sector added 140,000 jobs, more than the 120,000 forecast.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lawmakers this week advanced several efforts aimed at reining in utility profits and slashing electricity bills as part of their agenda to tackle the sky-high costs of living. The proposals would make sweeping changes to how utilities fund expensive infrastructure projects like putting power lines underground to guard against wildfires. They also would add more oversight around wildfire mitigation spending and put new requirements on utility requests to increase rates. Supporters said the goal is to make the big investor-owned utilities start sharing some of the costs to fight wildfires and build new transmission infrastructure. “This
