Everybody has been laughing at CNN's skydive without a parachute, and we all had a chuckle when the ratings came out that showed that CNN's viewership is now about 1/6th that of Fox News. After all, who would have predicted that the publicity push for Jake Tapper's "Original Sin" (apologies to Alex Thompson, who co-wrote the book and is an actual journalist, but nobody cares about non-celebrities anymore) wouldn't give CNN a bump or two in the ratings? I expected it would have, since any publicity is good publicity if you are looking for ratings. So it's funny that the more people see Jake Tapper, the less interested they are

Joe Rogan released a new podcast featuring FBI Director Kash Patel today. At one point in the discussion Patel revealed that his house "just got swatted yesterday." These comments came about 30 minutes into the two-hour interview at the end of a long discussion of Russiagate. Patel didn't say he was blaming the swatting on anyone in particular but the implication was that this was one part of a larger campaign of harassment that has been directed his way because he has turned over documents about Russiagate to congress.

Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state. As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel is arming clans in Gaza that he says are opposed to Hamas.
His comments came after Israeli media reports quoted defence sources as saying Netanyahu had authorised giving weapons to one particular group in the south of Gaza.

The Court announced a decision in "Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc., Et Al. Petitioners v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos." In this case, Mexico in effect sued American gun manufacturers for the plague of violence that is sweeping Mexico. The Supreme Court, in its decision, noted that Mexico's case runs afoul of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, or PLCA.
