Employers in the United States added 139,000 workers to their payrolls in May, the Department of Labor said Friday, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.2 percent. Economists had been expecting 125,000 jobs and an unemployment rate unchanged at 4.2 percent. President Donald Trump’s program of shrinking the federal government is showing signs of progress. Employment in the federal government fell by 22,000 in May and is down 59,000 since January. The private sector added 140,000 jobs, more than the 120,000 forecast.

Like Trump 45 the hourly earnings are increasing faster than inflation, the people are getting ahead again instead of losing ground like the last 4 years.

The National Guard will be deployed to Los Angeles County after anti-ICE protests continued to escalate Saturday afternoon, Trump administration border czar Tom Homan told Fox News Saturday. On Saturday, tear gas was deployed near Home Depot in Paramount, California, where ICE agents were allegedly conducting a raid. Following the raid, a violent protest broke out and several arrests were made for assault on a federal agent. In an interview with Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Homan said authorities are "stepping up" and "mobiliz[ing] to address violence and destruction

Filthy street Marxists are currently battling ICE agents in Los Angeles as they conduct mass arrests of illegal aliens around the city. Five years ago, the weak, easily controlled apparatchiks were burning the nation's big, blue toilet cities in honor of saintly George Floyd. Today, they fight over the "rights" of illegal immigrants to remain in our country, where many are living on taxpayer dollars. As expected, some of the usual suspects have shown up. Check out the yobbo with the Palestinian flag. Why would someone bring a Palestinian flag to a riot over illegal immigrants? Because this riot isn't over illegal immigrants. It's a push

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After federal immigration authorities arrested more than 40 people Friday across Los Angeles, protesters gathered outside a federal detention center demanding their release before police in riot gear tossed tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers executed search warrants at multiple locations, including outside a clothing warehouse where a tense scene unfolded as a crowd tried to block agents from driving away. Sirens blared as protesters surrounded black SUVs and tactical vehicles. Officers threw flash bangs into the street to disperse people as they shouted and filmed the scene with their cell phones.

Joe Rogan released a new podcast featuring FBI Director Kash Patel today. At one point in the discussion Patel revealed that his house "just got swatted yesterday." These comments came about 30 minutes into the two-hour interview at the end of a long discussion of Russiagate. Patel didn't say he was blaming the swatting on anyone in particular but the implication was that this was one part of a larger campaign of harassment that has been directed his way because he has turned over documents about Russiagate to congress.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) threatened Friday that his state would stop tax payments to the federal government, after news reports suggested President Donald Trump was thinking of cutting funds to the state. As Breitbart News noted earlier in the day, reports emerged suggesting that the Trump White House was considering cutting federal funding to California due to its challenges to, and defiance of, federal policy. Breitbart News reported: President Donald Trump is reportedly considering ways to pull more federal funding from the State of California, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) continues to defy White House policies, despite needing money.

The Supreme Court on Friday handed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) two major victories in its expanding legal battle over drastic efforts to reshape the federal bureaucracy. In two separate emergency rulings issued simultaneously, the court lifted a block on DOGE personnel accessing sensitive Social Security Administration (SSA) systems and wiped a ruling forcing DOGE to turn over discovery in a records lawsuit. Both rulings appeared to be along the Supreme Court’s ideological lines,

Everybody has been laughing at CNN's skydive without a parachute, and we all had a chuckle when the ratings came out that showed that CNN's viewership is now about 1/6th that of Fox News. After all, who would have predicted that the publicity push for Jake Tapper's "Original Sin" (apologies to Alex Thompson, who co-wrote the book and is an actual journalist, but nobody cares about non-celebrities anymore) wouldn't give CNN a bump or two in the ratings? I expected it would have, since any publicity is good publicity if you are looking for ratings. So it's funny that the more people see Jake Tapper, the less interested they are

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel is arming clans in Gaza that he says are opposed to Hamas. His comments came after Israeli media reports quoted defence sources as saying Netanyahu had authorised giving weapons to one particular group in the south of Gaza. Several Israeli politicians have accused Netanyahu of endangering Israeli security. "What's wrong with this?" Netanyahu says in a short video he's tweeted. "It only saves the lives of Israeli solders", he continues - "and publicising it only helps Hamas".

Texas on Tuesday removed BlackRock (BLK.N), opens new tab from a list of companies seen as boycotting the energy industry, a step the New York asset manager won only with steep cuts to its climate ambitions. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar said the decision reflected BlackRock's retreats from industry climate groups like the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative. He also noted how the firm has lowered its support for shareholder environmental resolutions and backed a new Texas Stock Exchange. BlackRock "has acknowledged the real social and economic costs, both here in Texas and globally, that come from limiting investment in the oil and gas industry," Hegar said in a statement.

Former President Bill Clinton said Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that he was “worried” the “courts won’t hold until we have the midterm elections” when asked about his concerns over President Donald Trump. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Mr. President, I agree with you, we need to talk about the future. And beyond President Trump’s big, beautiful bill, he is working to dismantle, in my view, our foundational institutions, right? He’s intimidating law firms and universities, he’s stifling media, he’s illegally disappearing people and deporting people. And he’s now threatening to impeach judges. So are you confident that the courts will hold? And what concerns you most about what he’s doing now?”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lawmakers this week advanced several efforts aimed at reining in utility profits and slashing electricity bills as part of their agenda to tackle the sky-high costs of living. The proposals would make sweeping changes to how utilities fund expensive infrastructure projects like putting power lines underground to guard against wildfires. They also would add more oversight around wildfire mitigation spending and put new requirements on utility requests to increase rates. Supporters said the goal is to make the big investor-owned utilities start sharing some of the costs to fight wildfires and build new transmission infrastructure. “This

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man whose erroneous deportation to El Salvador became a protracted battle over due process and a test of wills, has been returned to the United States to face human smuggling charges in Tennessee. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday in a news conference that he had landed in the U.S. “to face justice.” Abrego Garcia has been named in an indictment charging him with transporting within the U.S. people not legally in the country. The two-count indictment, sealed by a Tennessee court last month, alleges that Abrego Garcia participated in a conspiracy over nine years to move people from Texas deeper into the country.

China doesn't have the best track record when it comes to batteries for things like electric cars and scooters. In fact, some of these Chinese lithium batteries have an unpleasant tendency to become explodey. Granted, this is a problem with batteries like this in general, but China's quality control standards in general are, shall we say, not the greatest. From steel to batteries, China just doesn't quite measure up. Case in point: Now a ship carrying 3,000 cars from China to Mexico, 800 of them electric vehicles, is off the coast of Alaska, abandoned, burning, and spewing toxic smoke. How "green" is that?
