Health officials on May 27 announced they’re narrowing recommendations for COVID-19 vaccinations. “I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that as of today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule,” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a video on social media platform X. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s online versions of the schedules, which say they were published in 2024, still list the COVID-19 vaccine.

I remember a couple of decades ago encountering an assessment of Ann Coulter by a prominent conservative pundit who summed up her contribution to the conservative movement at that time as a net loss. This opinion apparently stemmed from a distaste for Coulter’s style, which quite a few on the right found sufficiently abrasive as to consider it damaging to the cause.(snip) I can assert unequivocally that I prefer the heavy-handed — even the strident — to polite decorum any day of the week. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on May 28 that the United States would begin revoking visas of Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
“The U.S. will begin revoking visas of Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields,” Rubio wrote on X.

Eventually both sides have to get past the talking points and start putting demands to paper.
According to President Trump’s envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, Ukraine has put forth a draft proposal outlining their general terms for a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Now the Trump administration is awaiting a similar draft from the Kremlin.
Once both drafts, what they are calling “term sheets”, are received and reviewed it appears that President Trump will reengage the process and seek to bring both parties to the negotiation table. At least that looks like the general outline.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administrator, said his agency and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have identified at least $14 billion in fraud, waste, and abuse.
“There’s about $14 billion we’ve identified with DOGE, of folks who are duly enrolled wrongly in multiple states for Medicaid,” Oz told Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
As an example, Oz said: “You live in New Jersey, but you move to Pennsylvania, and which state gets your Medicaid? Turns out both states collect money from the federal government.”

The comments indicate that Trump's position on the Kremlin is hardening as his attempt to broker an end to the Russian war falters with no breakthrough in sight. Moscow has claimed that that a “massive” Ukrainian drone attack targeted Vladimir Putin’s helicopter as the Russian leader visited the embattled Kursk region earlier this week.
Russian air defence officer Yury Dashkin said on Sunday that Putin’s helicopter was at the “epicentre of an operation to repel a massive drone attack” on Tuesday, state media RT reports.
The alleged attack came as the Russian leader visited the Kursk region, which saw the most significant incursion into Russian territory since the Second World War after Ukraine’s forces launched a daring counterinvasion last summer.
