Ah, Jeffrey Epstein. We finally have an official statement from our own side, and it contradicts every last thing our own side has believed now for years. Let’s all approach this analytically. I would be willing to bet that no one reading this right now was there in that jail cell. No one reading right now was on the island, on the plane, or anywhere else relevant to the case. We have secondhand knowledge at best. It is easy to believe a conspiracy theory. It is hard to admit it if you are wrong. Do I think serious crimes were committed? Yes.

I would be willing to bet that no one reading this right now was there in that jail cell. No one reading right now was on the island, on the plane, or anywhere else relevant to the case. We have secondhand knowledge at best. It is easy to believe a conspiracy theory. It is hard to admit it if you are wrong.
Do I think serious crimes were committed? Yes.
I remember reading somewhere that there were those working with James Comey who referred to him as “St. James” Comey because of his absolute certainty that he was always right about everything and had an insufferably smug way of letting you know it. Seemed credible at the time. Seems more credible now.

Tim Walz feeds rumor mill about Derek Chauvin pardon, despite Trump saying he knows nothing about it.” That optimist might think that the Minnesota governor was moved to reconsider Chauvin’s fate, the inspiration being a recent judicial order issued by Hennepin County Judge Edward Wahl. The ruling followed a defamation suit brought by Assistant Minneapolis Police Chief Katie Blackwell.

Gov. Tim Walz, the Minnesota National Guard, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt have reportedly all been briefed on preparations for potential riots if former police officer Derek Chauvin is granted a presidential pardon.
Chauvin, of course, was the officer filmed kneeling on drug addict George Floyd during his fatal interaction with police. His death caused nationwide deadly Black Lives Matter riots throughout the summer of 2020.
In his press conference about the 90-day trade deal he reached with the Chinese, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, in less than a minute, threw in a small detail about Joe Biden’s presidency that speaks volumes. First, it reveals how utterly feckless Joe Biden was and, second, it reveals how America benefits from a manifestly strong president. (Snip) In other words, China’s escalating trade depredations against the United States in the past four years, years that were terribly damaging to American manufacturers and workers, came about because the Chinese knew that, with Joe Biden in the White House, they could get away with trade murder.
Jasmine Crockett, the Texas congresswoman who reliably and routinely beclowns herself every single time she opens her mouth, is now going after her own party because as she asserts, they’re considering running the “safest white boy” in 2028 as their next presidential candidate.
What would she prefer? The opposite? A problematic black woman? News flash Crockett, y’all just did that, and it was the biggest beating you Democrats have had at the ballot box in more than forty years—since Ronald Reagan, and that was lifetimes ago!
She doesn’t like “safe” and “white,” so is “dangerous” and “black” better? Sounds like her ideal candidate would be George Floyd, or O.J. Simpson.

If you don’t know this is happening, that’s fine. You’re not missing much, and it’s a sign that this little tour Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is going on is not resonating. Sanders has been crisscrossing the country, holding rallies to fight the oligarchy. It’s his favorite pastime. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, Sanders has been warning about the oligarchy.
Most Americans don’t know or care about that word; even Democrats have criticized the tour as too esoteric and insular. If it’s only getting the Democratic Party base excited, that’s a problem. Their base isn’t broad or likable enough to win elections anymore.
Earlier this week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided at least nine restaurants in the nation's capital, requesting proof that the establishments are not flouting the law by employing illegal aliens. Washington, D.C., presents itself as a so-called sanctuary city for illegal aliens, so the mere fact ICE agents targeted a few businesses there is hardly surprising.
What is perhaps more newsworthy is the specific names associated with those raided restaurants. One of those restaurants, Chef Geoff's, is owned by Geoff Tracy, the husband of CBS News anchor and former vice presidential debate co-moderator Norah O'Donnell.

Honestly, I hope that Jill plans to go to confession and admit that she loved the title of First Lady a lot more than being a devoted wife. My guess is there a lot of ladies in the country who can't believe her disregard for Joe Biden's health and well-being. Again, she loved the title and staff.

Media reports are laced with unsubstantiated claims that man is overheating his planet. Every time climate change is mentioned in a story, even features in a newspaper’s food or fashion pages, it is understood that humans are turning Earth into a muggy greenhouse by burning fossil fuel. No evidence is provided to corroborate the claim. Man-made global warming just is and skeptics are deplorables.

The US Supreme Court granted an emergency application restoring a Republican Maine State Rep’s voting privileges in the House after they were taken away over a social media post criticizing a transgender (bio male) high school athlete who participated in a girls pole vault competition and won.
Recall that the Maine House Speaker censured Rep. Laurel Libby, stripped her voting rights and demanded she apologize for her social media post.
