Lawmakers Seek Answers: How Does Judge
Boasberg Keep Getting Assigned to Trump Cases?

Original Article

Three GOP members of Congress are demanding answers as to why Judge James Boasberg, Chief Justice of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, keeps getting assigned to cases having to do with President Donald Trump. Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH), Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Chip Roy (R-TX) have sent a letter seeking answers to Angela D. Caesar, the Clerk of the Court for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. (snip)At issue is whether Boasberg is being assigned to Trump cases on a random basis or not.

How it works is the Chief Judge assigns the cases and Boasberg is the Chief Judge. How convenient!

Courts across America have different rules and procedures they follow, but one thing is very common, and that is that judges in particular jurisdiction are randomly assigned when a case is filed. Clearly that does not seem to be happening in many of our federal courts.

I've come to the conclusion that the lottery may assign a case to a judge that may refuse to hear it, or recuse from it and then the case, instead of being dropped, is simply passed on to the next judge in line, who also finds fault, and then on to the next. This sort of puts another spin on 'judge shopping, if true.

A real AG and a real FBI chief, would have already had this judge or his family in the crosshairs or on the ropes for wrongdoings, because he's not gotten where he is because he's pure as driven snow! Plus, he is not adverse to creating laws, so creat some against him. It's a liberal, dem business practice!

A pure form of random assignment may not be possible. It is conceivable that one judge could have one major case fall onto of another, thereby overloading that one judge. Just an example, maybe not the best, but it points to the issue. #8 makes a better case. However, the chief judge has made no effort to respond to the obvious question of propriety of the assignments. This situation reeks of politics and lawfare. The judge is blatantly sticking it to the country and it needs to be dealt with on that level. He is absolutely opening the floodgates to crippling the powers of the executive branch putting it under the complete control of the courts. What is the position of AG Bondi? Does her silence mean she agrees with the situation? I appreciate that the congressmen are at least willing to do what they can. I would like to see America First Legal take a position on this.

He is never going to please the left and the media, repeating myself. It's a good thing he knows how to fight and continues to fight. President Donald Trump is confronting the dragon behind the panda mask with precision. It’s very obvious the prior reconnaissance, trade probes and tariff tests of ’17, ’18, ’19, are paying dividends. President Trump has cut off the transnational shipping lanes by globalizing the tariffs against China. Beijing is in a forced holding pattern waiting to see the outcome of Southeast Asia and European trade agreements. Having spent some serious time in the field in advance of ‘Liberty Day’ all of my contacts have the same message; China is trying to find position.

Pope Leo XIV, the newly-elected leader of the Catholic Church, previously opposed the promotion of gender theory while serving as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru. According to the New York Times, the Holy Father previously “opposed a government plan to add teachings on gender in schools.” “The promotion of gender ideology is confusing, because it seeks to create genders that don’t exist,” he told local news media at the time. The pope’s statements stand in line with his predecessor, Pope Francis, who repeatedly denounced gender ideology as an attack on children. In 2024, Pope Francis even referred to gender ideology as one of the ugliest ideologies of modern times, per the Vatican News.

On Monday President Donald Trump floated the idea that illegal aliens who voluntarily self-deport could be given a chance to come back legally, as though the only issue is mass illegal immigration. But this position represents a dangerous misdiagnosis of the real problem. It’s not that illegal immigration is a problem simply because it’s, well, illegal. Mass migration — whether legal or illegal — is national suicide. The sheer volume of foreign arrivals reshapes the country in ways no election can reverse and no bureaucratic process can fix. A nation isn’t just laws — a nation is its people, its culture, and its identity.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated. The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection.
