Obviously the article was written in a way that reflects the way Biden thought and talked during his term in the White House. There is little doubt that Biden was installed in the White House by the leftist and progressive Democrats to effectively be their puppet, allowing them to run wild with their ultra leftist political agenda, no matter if their very unpopular actions caused the leftist and progressive Democrats to crash and burn in the next (2024) election.

Still more intelligible than modern slang or text speak. Not sure what the mainstream culture's primary language will be in a generation; but I'd wager the English edition of BBC will be regarded as a niche translation. (If it isn't already regarded that way, that is.)

China Expels Missionaries, Treating Christianity
As Existential Threat To Totalitarianism

This week is significant for Christians worldwide, including myself, as we commemorate Jesus Christ’s death and sacrifice on Good Friday and celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has announced new regulations that will severely restrict foreign missionaries in China starting May 1. Citing the need to combat “extremism” and protect national security, these measures threaten religious freedoms. Under the new regulation, foreign missionaries must obtain government approval for lectures, sermons, and group activities, facing a burdensome application process that details the date, time, location, and attendees.

San Francisco was once a shining example of a great American city, but now it is mostly a punchline. The metropolis that gave us epic Mark Twain quotes, Levi’s, an iconic music scene, the Golden Gate Bridge, and so much more is now known more for excrement on the street, crime, mass drug addiction, and homeless people sprawled across the sidewalks. Given that, you’d think they’d figure out what to prioritize to improve the lives of their citizens. Advertisement Their answer, though, will make your head spin. They’ve decided to erect a 45-foot statue of a woman in Embarcadero Plaza to “jazz up” downtown. They might certainly achieve their

A California bill that would allow higher education institutions to prioritize slave descendants in college admissions is drawing harsh critique from some civil rights experts. Introduced in December, the bill, AB 7, is a project of Democrat Assemblymember Isaac Bryan who represents part of Los Angeles. If passed, it would allow the state’s two public higher education systems, the California State University and the University of California, as well as private colleges and universities to “consider providing a preference in admissions to an applicant who is a descendant of slavery, as defined, to the extent it does not conflict with federal law.”

Habemus papam — we have a pope, and progressive Catholics will likely be pleased. And for the first time ever, the pope is an American. Cardinal Robert Prevost, now Leo XIV, is an American who also has Peruvian citizenship. He was a favorite of the late Pope Francis but has often kept a fairly low public profile, meaning that while his tendencies indicate a less traditional and strictly doctrinal perspective, his likely actions as pope have yet to be clearly predicted. But his first speech ominously seemed much in line with progressive rhetoric. It is unfortunate that the new pope was a favorite of the late Pope Francis, who prioritized leftist politics
