The Jeffrey Epstein saga may be years in the unfolding. There are hundreds of people involved, perps and victims; some very fancy folks have been implicated, and there is the matter of protecting the victims' privacy to take into account. But the public also has a right to know what happened, and the Epstein files should be released as soon as the victims' considerations are taken into account. In a press briefing published on C-SPAN, Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the FBI is reviewing those files now.

Then perhaps someone can explain why the Biden DOJ sat on this for four years.

@1 You can add the first 4 years of Trump's DOJ. Sorry but, the longer this drags out, methinks someone has something to hide. Or his friends are on it. Again, who's DOJ was in charge when Epstein had his little "accident"? Sorry, you promise day 1 and we're over a hundred in and NOT ONE person involved has been rolled up and pressured in to talking. And let's not forget the Binders that everyone's "favorite influencers" came out holding like special ed art projects. This broad, Kash and Trump (sorry if you can't go after ped0s with EVERYTHING at your disposal, I have about 0 respect for you) have changed their story on these files more times than I can count.

So it's taken months to come out and say, that it's the volume, and that's it - blink blink. That seems disingenuous, but okay. Can you hire more people to get it done quicker? Can they release any of what they have done? She also stated there appeared to be missing files from the first release and she has sent letters to Patel but has not received a response. You are the boss, do something. And then she brings up the point about the New York fbi office has thousands of records but they refuse to release them - just said no it seems. She is the boss, round up a posse and make a trip to New York and take the files, and if necessary, arrest anyone who interferes? None of this seems normal. Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch has filed a foia lawsuit against her to get the records. She's fighting it. Tom speculates there may be a republican on the list which could lose one of the branches of Congress. Anyhow the foia is being pursued. Too bad it has come to that.

It is very disconcerting when the Alleged conspiracy theories involving the very rich practicing deviant sexual acts with minors turns out to be true on a large scale. From a Google AI Overview: The number of reported missing children is substantial, with estimates ranging from 460,000 to 840,000 per year.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow and CBS host Stephen Colbert claimed on Tuesday’s broadcast of The Late Show that the Republican Party wants to put an end to elections. The duo both stated that the GOP wants to end elections, though they did not offer much by way of evidence. “So, one of the things that’s interesting to me is that there’s such gross and obvious incompetence and disregard for our institutions, touching third rails like Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid, this is not the behavior of people — because Republicans haven’t stood up en masse resist what Donald Trump has done,” Colbert railed.

This just in: Big animals that can weigh in at a ton, have inch-thick hides, masses of matted hair that is nearly as good as chain-mail armor, that wear big curved perforators on their heads, and that have prickly temperaments, can be dangerous. The animal described, of course, is the American bison, a big, imposing creature, a holdover from the last Ice Age. And yet, people who think that nature is a Disney movie keep getting too close to them and getting hurt. The latest was a Florida man (of course) who fooled around and found out. "Be careful what you wish for" is something I routinely think when mulling over political strategy. Whenever you want a certain politician or appointee removed, you have to be sure that the replacement won't be worse. For instance, when I was writing about LA County Department of Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer, someone asked me, "What if you succeed in having her removed, but they bring in someone who's just as much of a True Believer as Ferrer but easier on the eyes and with better speaking ability?" Unfortunately we haven't yet succeeded in getting rid of Not-a-Doctor Ferrer,

Sanders, of course, has been "fighting oligarchy" with his pal Rep.
