US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday said that he is taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and to restrict any further issuance to prevent entry into the United States. The reason for the move is the failure of South Sudan's transitional government to accept the return of its repatriated citizens in a timely manner, Rubio said on social media.

Some in the U.S. Senate stayed up way past their bedtimes on Friday night, voting into the wee hours in a battle against mainly Democrat amendments attempting to derail President Donald Trump's agenda before managing to pass a budget plan. After the six-hour vote-a-rama ended, the legislation passed nearly along party lines, with "no" votes from Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Susan Collins (R-ME), 51-48, around 2:30 a.m. Eastern time on Saturday morning.
Here is what we know so far about the plan:
On paper, the new Senate budget outline allows for $1.5 trillion in tax cuts, a seemingly modest amount. But that figure disguises

After the meltdown in the markets in the last few days, both the USAID-media and the Democrats were pretty sure that US President Donald J. Trump was about to pay a hefty political price for the sweeping, historical tariffs that he unleashed on the world on ‘Liberation Day’.
As it often happens, it appears that they were wrong.
Trump appears to be increasingly more popular than before he levied these tough measures.
DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners heard over 1,000 registered voters conducted from March 31 to April 3 – and what they found is sending Globalists into a panic.

President Trump’s tariffs are already having an impact.
Earlier this week, Trump announced a sweeping new trade policy that included a universal 10 percent tariff on all imports into the United States.
In addition to this baseline measure, the administration introduced a system of reciprocal tariffs targeting countries with significant trade surpluses over the U.S.
The tariffs vary in severity, with higher rates imposed on nations deemed to have particularly unbalanced trade relationships or who refuse to buy American goods.

The truth is simple: China’s move is frail, desperate, and ultimately doomed to backfire.
For starters, China needs us far more than we need them—a reality the media elite won’t say out loud but that every business leader worth their calculator knows. The United States is the hottest, wealthiest consumer market on the planet. We innovate, we buy,

We have no doubt that Leavitt’s prediction will come true. Whether it’s remembered for being a success or as Smoot-Hawley 2.0 remains to be seen.
“It is going to work,” Leavitt said. “And the president has a brilliant team of advisers who have been studying these issues for decades.”
That’s a bit of an odd boast, given that the economists who have been studying tariffs and trade policy for decades had long ago decided that tariffs are a sledgehammer approach that rarely work as intended, that they are a wildly expensive way to create jobs, don’t spur economic growth, protect uncompetitive U.S. firms, and are an ineffective diplomatic tool.

The more we learn about Kamala Harris’ disastrous campaign, the more entertaining it gets. It’s also a little baffling. The core of her team was seasoned political operatives from the Obama operation who knew how to win elections. Then again, that was a different Democratic Party, one not soaked in far-left wokeism. Democrats knew how to reach voters to win elections. Now, that coalition is dead, as the youth flocked to the GOP, union workers went MAGA, and immigrant voting communities swung 23 points toward the GOP. There was no way Democrats were going to win. Neither Kamala Harris nor Joe Biden was going to beat Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump and his team have been cracking down hard on border enforcement and on the worst illegal migrants still in the country — great.
But a longer-term fix — also of great use in speeding deportations now — requires cleaning up the mess of US “law” regarding the supposed rights of border-jumpers, as well as our obsolete asylum system.
Gridlocked not just on party lines but by ideologues and interest-group lobbying, Congress has failed for decades to update these laws; instead, activist judges and presidential decrees have created “legal” roadblocks to evicting people here illegally.

President Donald Trump‘s sweeping tariffs, announced Wednesday, have received strong support from the U.S. shrimp industry, which sees them as an opportunity for survival.
After peaking in the 1990s, the U.S. shrimp industry has faced a precipitous decline over the past 15 years. Cheaper imports of farmed shrimp, facing no import duties, have undercut U.S. wild-caught shrimp. The U.S. shrimping industry has lost half of its market value since 2021, according to the Southern Shrimp Alliance, ending the businesses of many.

It ought to be blindingly obvious that bringing in many thousands of foreigners who practice a religion and come from a culture that encourages exploitation, violence, rape, and murder — all of which Islamic holy texts explicitly endorse — would create a crime crisis. But Western wokies are willfully deluded, and in the name of tolerance and progressivism, large numbers of violent foreign men have swarmed into Europe.

On New Year’s Eve 2020, as President-elect Joe Biden was at home in Delaware celebrating his imminent move into the White House, a mob of some 300 Cubans stormed out of Juárez, Mexico, in a mad banzai charge over one of the international bridges toward El Paso, Texas.
They swept past Mexican border guards, leapt pell-mell the wrong way over Mexican pay turnstiles, and sprinted for America in a crisscrossing stampede through traffic over the bridge lanes.
But alas, the outgoing Donald Trump was still in office,

Democratic strategist James Carville in a Friday video demanded a “reckoning” for entities that have collaborated with President Donald Trump’s administration.
Carville alluded to France during World War II when some women faced humiliation, including head-shaving, for allegedly collaborating with Nazis. The strategist, with an empty or near-empty wine glass on his nightstand, said he does not believe Trump “collaborators” should be assaulted but said they must at least face an “intellectual reckoning.”

One of the most loathsome members of the Biden regime got an unpleasant surprise while traveling back home as he was confronted with several brutal questions regarding his massive failures while employed.
As TGP readers know, perhaps no Biden regime member was more responsible for the despicable open border than former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Because of his deliberate negligence, he became the first cabinet secretary to be impeached in nearly 150 years and the first sitting cabinet secretary in history to be impeached.
In February 2024, he was convicted of two articles of impeachment:

A single Republican senator — Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) — voted against the nomination of Harmeet Dhillon to serve as assistant attorney general, veering away from the rest of her GOP colleagues who voted in favor.
After her nomination in December, lawmakers finally held a formal vote Thursday and Dhillon was approved in a 52-45 vote. However, Murkowski opposed the nomination and sided with Democrats. President Donald Trump announced in December the nomination of Dhillon to work as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice.

A Florida man living just over 20 miles outside of Mar-a-Lago has been arrested for posting multiple threats against President Donald Trump.
The Jupiter Police Department (JPD) late Friday night announced the arrest of one Glen DeCicco on charges of "Making Written Threats to Kill" the President. "The investigation began after JPD was alerted to a concerning Facebook post," a statement reads. "Detectives reviewed DeCicco’s social media activity and confirmed that he had made a written threat directed at the President."
The JPD notes that they coordinated with the Secret Service to investigate DeCicco and take him into custody.

Two US border inspectors in Southern California have been charged with taking thousands of dollars in bribes to allow people to enter the country through the nation’s busiest port of entry without showing documents, prosecutors said.
US Customs and Border Protection officers Farlis Almonte and Ricardo Rodriguez were assigned to immigration inspection booths at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
They were charged after investigators found phone evidence showing they had exchanged messages with human traffickers in Mexico and discovered unexplained cash deposits into their bank accounts, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Thursday.

Wall Street Capitulates to Trump’s Tariffs
It’s hard to say what finally broke Wall Street’s will. Maybe it was the retaliatory 34 percent tariff from Beijing, or the sight of Jerome Powell brushing off the carnage like a man who’d just changed a flat tire. Maybe it was the unmistakable conviction in Donald Trump’s voice when he said, “China played it wrong. They panicked.” Or maybe it was the simple realization—years in the making, but somehow still a surprise—that this president is not going to hand back the steering wheel to the Chamber of Commerce.

Officials of the Department of Homeland Security are looking to use FEMA funding allocated for housing migrants for immigration enforcement instead.
The funds were directed to the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) back in 2019, but the program was a target of Republican ire and identified by Elon Musk’s DOGE as wasteful funding.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has since terminated grants under the reasoning that the program payments “no longer effectuate the program goals or agency priorities,” according to CNN.

Earlier this week, Matt Taibbi was called as a witness by the Republican majority of a subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Before his testimony began, Democratic Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove slandered him:
Sydney Kamlager-Dove, a Democrat representing California’s 37th district in Los Angeles, began her opening remarks in a House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee hearing Tuesday with a comment directed to me. “To distract from the dumpster fire this administration is pursuing,” she said, the Republicans were “elevating a serial sexual harrasser as their star witness.”
That assertion was an outrageous lie, but presumably Ms. Kamlager-Dove believed she was protected by the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause,

The West needs to recognize the intentions of Iran's rulers. The regime has made it clear that it has no plans to abandon its nuclear or ballistic missile programs. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has openly stated that Libya's Muammar Gaddafi made a fatal mistake by giving up his nuclear program.
Each time Iran's regime finds itself under pressure, it calls for talks. The goal, however, is never to reach a real agreement. The goal is to delay.
Tehran knows that once talks begin, the focus will shift from its nuclear violations to the negotiation process.

Journalist Amie Parnes of The Hill recently appeared on CNN with Jake Tapper and said that the Democratic party is still a mess and in even worse shape than they were right after their massive loss in the 2024 election.
Parnes suggests that there is still tons of infighting among members of the party and that some strategists on the left want to ‘burn the house down’ and start over.
Democrats still have no leader, no message and no ideas on how to solve these problems.

Trump on Friday shared video of a recent airstrike on Houthi rebels, writing, "They will never sink our ships again."
"These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!"
The black and white aerial footage appeared to show a group assembling before a massive blast leaves nothing but a crater. The Trump administration has been conducting daily airstrikes on the Iranian-backed rebels for the last 20 days

A North Carolina appeals court has ruled that more than 60,000 voters who voted in the state’s Supreme Court election in November 2024 must verify that they are eligible to vote.
The ruling from the appeals court ordering “more than 65,000 voters” to prove their eligibility comes after Judge Jefferson Griffin, who ran against North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs in November, challenged the results of the election, according to NBC News. Per the outlet, voters “now have 15 business days to provide state elections officials with the necessary proof of identity that would verify their votes,”

Barack Obama made a shockingly honest admission about the state of his marriage to Michelle Obama.
“I was in a deep deficit with my wife,” Barack, 63, told Hamilton College President Steven Tepper in a conversation Thursday, according to the Daily Beast.
“So I have been trying to dig myself out of that hole by doing occasionally fun things.”
The former president of the United States has previously suggested that his back-to-back terms in office from 2009 to 2017 took a toll on his relationship with the former first lady.

As we previously wrote, during the executive order signing event in the Rose Garden on Wednesday, President Trump announced a swath of reciprocal tariffs on imports from every country, including the People's Republic of China.
Then as my colleague Mike Miller wrote on Friday morning, China lashed out with a 34 percent tariff on all U.S. goods entering the Middle Kingdom. Later on Friday morning, Trump shared on his Truth Social account that the administration is extending its reprieve of the U.S. ban on TikTok via a revised executive order, expressing hope of a "deal" being struck for the social media platform with connections to the Chinese

Another week has come and gone in the nation’s capital, which means congressional Republicans are either doing nothing productive, wasting taxpayer money, or losing major policy fights. In the case of this week (and many others), it’s all of the above. On Americans’ dime, the GOP-run House was all but forced to abruptly end work on its legislative agenda on Tuesday for the remainder of the week amid efforts led in part by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., to allow representatives who are new parents to vote by proxy. [Snip] ...Luna took an oath to represent her constituents on a full-time basis.
