Barack Obama has called on US citizens, colleges and law firms to resist Donald Trump’s political agenda – and warned Americans to prepare to “possibly sacrifice” in support of democratic values.
“It has been easy during most of our lifetimes to say you are a progressive or say you are for social justice or say you’re for free speech and not have to pay a price for it,” Obama said during a speech at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, on Thursday.
The two-term former Democratic president painted a picture of the Trump White House looking to upend the international order created after the second world war

I can't think of any democrat party values. High taxes, bloated government, killing the unborn, open boarders, fraud and waste. Prove me wrong!

You sacrifice first, Stinky. Sell a couple of mansions and feed the starving kids in the Congo.

There was once a long standing tradition that former presidents remain silent on current presidents. It was a good tradition, but it died, as most good things do, with the Left's ongoing lowering of civic standards.

Obie, we don't need to be lectured by your leftist self. If anything, you are the one who must be separated from his communist upbringing as taught by Frank Marshall Davis. Just go away, pal. And let Mike decide what is in her/its best interests.

Nah. I defend REPUBLICAN values, since we don't (thank goodness) have a democracy.

Democracy is defined however any democrat feels on any given day. Democrats no more believe in "democracy" than I believe in the tooth fairy. They have literally sexually assaulted Websters Dictionary.

Just go away you anarchistic POS. We know there is nothing in your brain nor in your piddling stutter 'speeches'. I guess you have no one right now to push your vegetables back in. Find another hobby.

Lately when I've hit my bed pillow at night I've thanked The Lord that He gave us Founding Fathers who recognized the need for "checks and balances" in a system of government with separation of powers among its branches. Those checks and balances sometimes slow down the wheels of positive progress, but experience has shown that the value of thwarting regressive policies justifies them.
The results achieved by Obie vs. those achieved by his Canadian analog, Justin Turdeau, make for a breath-taking comparison about how an effective system of checks and balances can thwart enemies of The Constitution who achieve a modicum of power. Our system has preserved our republic from the worst ravages of Obie's plan. Turdeau executed a similar plan (WEF prescription, DEI, etc. etc.) in Canada, with devastating results.
Any country operating on a unicameral parliamentary system -- where the executive is basically a creation of the legislative branch's election winners -- should take note: There aren't enough checks and balances in such systems. Canada is the worst for prolonged destruction, but Covid brought out the worst in Australia, Britain, and many of the "democracies" of Europe.
