The White House said on Friday that President Joe Biden is not considering raising the Stars and Stripes to full-staff for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.
President Jimmy Carter died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100 in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. According to the U.S. flag code, the death of a sitting or former president is observed by flying the American flag at half-staff for 30 days from the date of death on all public buildings and grounds, military posts, naval stations, and naval vessels.

I'm not going to get upset over this. Despite the fact that Carter was a lousy president, he was president, and tradition mandates that the flag is stays at half-staff for 30 days. Biden, while even a worst president than Carter, is just following tradition. If Trump is upset, and I doubt he is, it's doesn't distract from the day.

This is in your face disrespect for Trump. It looks like Joe is not going to leave with class.
Note to Joe: Remember your actions, turnaround is fair play. We all know based on your decline Trump will probably be in office when you cease to exist. Maybe our President Trump may have a one day Half-Staff for you.

Even if it is tradition to fly the flag at half staff, it still comes across as petty. Fortunately, what Trump will hopefully implement on Day 1 will be a big "I don't care; I'm in charge now" to the Biden administration.

While the flag code advises the flag at half mast for 30 days following the death of a president, it also provides for president-directed changes. That Biden does not choose to raise the flags on Jan 20 for the inauguration speaks to who little Biden is at his core, and that Trump chooses to let it be speaks to who big Trump is at his core. Let’s get on to the hard work ahead.

Joe hasn't "considered" anything at all for years.
Maybe his ice cream flavor.

January 20 this year is "celebrated" as MLK, Jr. Day. Watch people get their panties in a wad when that little tidbit gets out.

Simply showing his own mean and pettiness. Not that it is telling us anything new. Ignore and move on. Lot of work to be done!

MY flag, that I raised again after four years in storage, on the day that Trump won the 2024 election, will be at full staff. We no longer care what the bitter, senile, brain-dead fool from Delaware says or does. He can take his scold of a wife and his drug-addicted, whore-mongering son home with him to spend all of the money that they stole from us. The only thing they can't steal is our respect.

I guess if flying the flag at half staff makes biden feel like he is sticking it to PRESIDENT Trump and Americans, then so be it.
When Biden croaks, my flag will fly, but not at half staff. He does not deserve the honor, along with hussien.

I don't consider 'Jimmah', much of a President. However, out of respect for the office, so be it. A much better man is re-entering that role, and on the 28th or 29th of January, we can raise our flag in celebration of a President, and philosophy that befits our great Nation!

It is traditional for our flag to be at half-mast for 30 days following the death of a President. This is not the hill we want to die on.

Not a big deal. 30 days is 30 days. If only Biden would have honored other traditions.

Biden you cheater, just start packing, pal, and make sure all of Hunter's coke has been removed from Frau Doktor's medicine cabinet.
Besides, at least Jimmah stayed alive long enough to realize he is no longer the worst president this country has ever had.

Hold on here. Does any rational human actually believe senile Joe Biden made this decision? It no doubt emanated from the hard-core leftist wankers that have been making all the preceding 'America last' bad choices this administration has made. FJB and the MSM that has kept the demented fool in office.

In your speech, compliment Biden for flying the flag a half mast to honor the 19 troops killed during the debacle of Afghanistan.

No tradition is being changed or challenged. It's just "the luck of the draw" that Carter died when he did. I don't see an issue.

Should he assume room temp in the next couple of years, PDT could leave the American flag a full staff for this POS. Or he could just fly the Ukranian flag for him. But knowing what a straight shooter PDT is, he'll probably do the right thing.

Nothing to get upset about. Carter just happened to die less than a month before Trump's second inauguration. He was 100; he couldn't help it. Old Glory will fly at full staff after the thirty days, not that Carter remotely deserves veneration of any sort.
