In a groundbreaking legal battle, over 100 January 6 political prisoners have come together to file what is being hailed as the largest lawsuit ever against the Department of Justice.
Officially named the January 6 Restitution and Wrongful Incarceration Lawsuit, this $50 billion class action is spearheaded by Jake Lang, a January 6 prisoner who has been incarcerated for nearly four years. Lang, through his new organization, Federal Watchdog, the Anti-Lawfare Group, is joined by an esteemed team of conservative attorneys, including Steven Metcalf, Anthony Sabatini, Stephanie Lambert, and Jonathan Gross. Together, they aim to expose the injustices faced by January 6 prisoners

I pray they collect every dollar. Unfortunately, it will come from taxpayers and not the ones who caused it.

You are correct 3XALADY. This suit should be going after everyone as individuals that served on the January 6th committee and the democrat party.

Just make sure the Democrat Party and those acting for them in the DOJ lose qualified immunity and pay, instead of the taxpayers.

Socking the taxpayer will not prevent future abuses. There has to be skin in the game for those who are responsible for this travesty of justice

They are owed every bit of that $50 billion, maybe more. However, the frosting on the cake will be Garland & Co. going to jail for these crimes.

The suit unfortunately is against the American taxpayer.
The suit should be against Nancy Pelosi and her minions. Garland, Wray, Schiff, Schumer, et al.
They certainly deserve to win, but unfortunately now I will have to pay the Defense Attorneys and the cost of the win. Those who are truly guilty will lose nothing and they will still be pushing their liberal lies and agenda's.

The lawyers may be good, but the webpage designer lists the inauguration date as January 25, 2025.
Inaccuracies like that do not help instill confidence in one's representatives.

And we thought it was great that ABC has to pony up $15 million.
If the people who did this, DOJ, ..., don't get held accountable, no new law decisions to protect citizens against such abuse will be made. A favorable decision for a significant amount will slam a roadblock on the government from taking such actions again. It's the same reason that all the cases against Trump need to be followed up and torn apart. The SCOTUS has made significant rulings in Trump's favor. Those become standing law and, by default, block such actions in the future.
Surviving lawfare is NOT sufficient. The mechanisms they used must be disassembled and disallowed for the future. We can also correctly claim that dems perverted law to attack Trump and citizens.

Focus this on the INDIVIDUALS who led and did these horrible, criminal acts. These things were done by the choices of individuals, and THEY should be held responsible.

The problem with a class action lawsuit is the only people who really benefit are the lawyers. I remember Thomas Sowell telling about having been a member of a class that received a huge settlement. His share of the proceeds--$1.50.

If redress is coming from the taxpayers... ouch!
But it is the taxpayers who were asleep at the switch and "elected" the criminals who did this to us (ALL).
Somewhere in the legal mix, the "authorities" who were part and parcel to this travesty MUST be stripped of their own wealth, security and freedom.
Only then can anyone say, truthfully, that "justice was done".

NoBama and the Vegetable will ride this out just fine with the media’s everlasting cover for the payop CRIME that was MANUFACTURED and nurtured while they got away with it, just like the TWO false impeachments and Lawfare which has been paid for with “Other People’s Money”— that being YOUR tax dollars!
Going into DEBT to protect and remunerate those falsely IMPRISONED on flimsy charges renamed as ‘insurrection’ when Nasty Piglosi WITHELD proof of troublemakers ALLOWING citizens inside the Capitol by temoving barricades and opening doors WELCOMING people inside should be thoroughly exposed.
Who will speak on behalf of Ashli Babbit?
Will the press even COVER the absolute corruption and expose the whole thing via testimony of those in the class-action suit? Some have already passed while this has dragged on over several years….

I hope they win every dime. As well as the families of Ashli Babbitt, Rosanne Boyland, and the others who were murdered. And that a number of individuals in elected and appointed positions do some jail time. And Michael Leroy Byrd and the female capitol police officer who beat Boyland to death.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, this very deserved lawsuit is 30 days too soon!
Yes ... they should have waited until China Joe was totally out of the White House. Now they have tipped their hand and warned everyone that not only the DOJ may be held accountable, but, as many others above have pointed out here, some individuals may also be held to account.
And that is when things can go sideways. China Joe will pardon EVERYONE even remotely connected to the travesty of the January 6th prosecutions.
What are we to do if Demented Joe literally says he "pardons the entire DOJ organization"? And then he pardons anyone working there during his administration ... and then goes on to name specific individuals!
