The hunters are becoming the hunted. Earlier this month it was reported that Jack Smith’s team of partisan prosecutors are lawyering up as they brace for President Trump. According to Rolling Stone, Jack Smith’s team of prosecutors are also combing through their private and professional communications to make sure they haven’t written anything that can be subpoenaed. Are they deleting evidence of misconduct and anti-Trump bias? Late last month Jack Smith moved to dismiss both federal cases against President Trump as Trump plans to go scorched earth and fire the special counsel’s entire team of prosecutors. Jack Smith asked to dismiss both the January 6 case and classified documents case against President Trump.

Comments:

That they are doing this and also lawyering up means that there is something to look into RE Lawfare and the targeting of President Trump and his supporters. Innocent people don't need to consult with defense attorneys for past actions!!

It's not that easy. The deleted stuff may be referred to in some seemly innocuous other piece ... then they will be facing additional charges perjury, obstruction of evidence. What young lawyer bragged to his girlfriend about it in an email of internet site. There are court documents that may contain reference. But I'm enjoying this - drained of color, sweating like it's August tryouts, snapping at each other, playing the blame game. Pass the popcorn corn.

Would their actions be considered evidence tampering and obstruction of justice? That alone should subject them to some serious jail time.

For conservatives “of a certain age” — i.e. those of us who can remember the Reagan years firsthand — conservatism is as much a life philosophy as a political movement. It was one of the key distinctions between the two parties: Republicans were guided by a specific belief system — conservatism — whereas the Democrats were more of a hodgepodge blend of various demographics. Back then, the Democratic Party was a coalition party. Really, the only thing a union worker in Pittsburgh and a vegan environmentalist in Berkley had in common was that they both expected the Democratic Party to help ‘em grab a bigger piece of the pie.

Mexico is currently testing a cell phone app that will allow illegal aliens to warn relatives and a local Mexican consulate that they are about to be detained. “In case you find yourself in a situation where detention is imminent, you push the alert button, and that sends a signal to the nearest consulate," said Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico’s secretary of foreign affairs. Mexico estimates there are about 4.8 million Mexican citizens in the U.S. illegally, according to the Associated Press. That's probably not far off from the actual number. In recent years, Mexicans have made up a smaller and smaller percentage of illegal aliens in the U.S.,

Christians around the globe celebrate Christmas this week, what they believe to be the miracle of the Incarnation—that God came into this world by being born as a baby, and living a human life on this earth, believing this to be the fulfillment of centuries of prophecy. Jesus of Nazareth was born around 4 B.C. in Bethlehem, a small town in Israel about five miles south of Jerusalem. Christians believe that he was born to a virgin named Mary. She would likely have been around 13 to 14 years old, and was formally engaged to Joseph, who would have been around age 15 or 17.

It is arguably the most iconic image from the American Revolution. You can find drawings, paintings, and sculptures commemorating its significance in town halls, courthouses, libraries, churches, and veterans’ associations throughout the country. Variations were once commonly displayed in homes, schools, and businesses. Is it Paul Revere’s historic engraving of the Boston Massacre? Or Emanuel Leutze’s famous Washington Crossing the Delaware? Or perhaps John Trumbull’s The Declaration of Independence? Those are all good answers, but the image of which I write is of George Washington kneeling in silent prayer near the Continental Army’s winter encampment at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, in December 1777.

A statement issued by the White House said the president was "guided by my conscience" to commute the death penalties for some of the worst of the worst offenders in America. At the heart of the Christmas story, nestled in the opening verses of two Gospels, lies the birth of Jesus, the long awaited Messiah. These words speak of a King born not in the grand halls of a world capital, but in the squalor of a manger—a place of vulnerability. As the angels proclaimed peace on earth, humanity was presented with the ultimate paradox: the Prince of Peace, born unexpectedly, in the midst of ongoing war and turmoil. For centuries, the people of Israel had awaited the Messiah. Prophecies spoke of a leader—a descendant of David—who would reign with justice, righteousness, and power, establishing peace and ending war.
