The pro-Hamas protests that have engulfed campuses across the nation have claimed another victim, Cornell University president Martha E. Pollack, who announced in a surprise email Thursday that she is stepping down in June after a seven-year reign.
The Ivy League school has been at the center of two controversies in recent times: its racist promotion of DEI at all costs and its failure to take effective action against antisemitism on its campus. Lovely stuff, isn’t it?
The blowback may have simply been too much for the embattled Pollack. In her letter to “Cornellians,” she wrote:

Paul Ryan must be very confused about what makes a person’s “character” good or bad; according to a new report, the former congressman will not be voting for Donald Trump, because “character is too important” and therefore, he can’t get behind a guy like Trump.
Apparently, Ryan intends to write in another Republican candidate, which is obviously a throw away vote and therefore, one less vote against Joe Biden.

The Egyptians and Hamas have good reason to be angry with the presence of the IDF at the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing. For several years, Palestinians who wanted to exit the Gaza Strip via the terminal have alleged that they had to bribe Hamas and officials. Hamas and Egypt are now afraid of losing the Palestinian milk-cow.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) celebrated President Joe Biden declaring that the United States would withhold artillery and other weapons if Israel invaded Hamas’s last stronghold, Rafah.
In a post on X, Omar stated that Biden’s comments about “not supplying” Israel with the weapons to invade Rafah were “what young people across the country” had been protesting about, referring to the anti-Israel encampments and protests that were established on university and college campuses across the nation.

Biden thought he was going to have a softball interview with CNN but he completely crumbled when Erin Burnett fact-checked him to his face.
Burnett pointed out that the economy is the most important issue for voters.
“It’s also true, Mr. President that voters, by a wide margin, trust Trump more on the economy. They say that in polls,” Erin Burnett said.
The signs are everywhere. The nation’s youth are waking up to the fact that the Democratic left – with its preening, humorless self-righteousness, its relentless judgmentalism, its mask-wearing Hamas-cheering campus-trashing college crybabies, its hypocritical pampered elites, and its octogenarian president who thinks he can buy young people off with abortions, dope, and bailouts – is totally uncool.
It’s about time. Now we just need a national anti-smoking-like campaign to sustain it.
There are so many recent moments showing this shift in attitude that it’s hard to narrow down the list. But here’s a sampling:
An international jewel thief, wanted by Interpol for theft in South Korea, was reportedly released into the United States last year after arriving at the southern border near San Diego, California. Now, he has been arrested in Nassau County, New York, for allegedly stealing more than $300,000 worth of jewels from Tiffany & Co. and Cartier.
Yaorong Wan, 49 years old, first arrived to the U.S. via the southern border near San Diego in December of last year, according to Long Island News 12. After claiming asylum, Wan was released into the U.S. interior.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost sent a letter to presidents of local universities Monday, warning that masked students who join pro-Hamas protests could be prosecuted under a law crafted to fight the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).
As Breitbart News noted recently, there are federal anti-KKK statutes that prohibit masked demonstrators from protesting on other people’s property with the intent of threatening citizens out of exercising their civil rights.
There are similar state laws, such as a 1953 Ohio law that “makes it a fourth-degree felony for two or more people to commit any crime together ‘while wearing white caps, masks, or other disguise,” a Columbus NBC affiliate reported.
The illegal alien accused of murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley this year has been indicted on ten counts, including murder, kidnapping, and assault with intent to rape.
On Wednesday, a grand jury in Athens, Georgia, indicted 26-year-old illegal alien Jose Antonio Ibarra of Venezuela on murder charges for the death of Laken Riley, who was found brutally beaten to death on the University of Georgia (UGA) campus on Feb. 22.
In addition to felony murder, Ibarra has also been indicted for aggravated battery, aggravated assault with intent to rape, kidnapping with bodily injury, obstructing a person making a 911 phone call, and tampering with evidence.
We reported earlier how Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed earlier reports of a a ‘pause’ in almost $1 billion in weapons shipments to Israel over its plans to invade Rafah, Hamas’ last stronghold where it’s remaining leadership and battalians are located, along with the hostages. Hamas has been firing rockets from Rafah, and killed four Israeli soldiers at a border crossing used to ship humanitarian aid. Paul Ryan, a member of the Fox Corporation Board of Directors, will not vote for former President Donald Trump, he told Yahoo on Tuesday at the Milken Institute Global Conference.
Ryan’s pledge is his latest attack against the America First movement. In April he praised House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for his leadership at a time when the Speaker’s actions permitted Democrats to seize control of the House.
Ryan said he will write in a Republican candidate, as he did “last time.” He did not specify any particular person.
The British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca has decided to globally withdraw its COVID-19 vaccine, citing a rare and dangerous side effect associated with the jab.
The news was first reported by The Telegraph, which confirmed that the company had voluntarily withdrawn its “marketing authorisation," meaning it will no longer be available for purchase.
