Marjorie Taylor Green and Thomas Massive together brought a motion to the House floor to remove Speaker Mike Johnson from office. However, a considerable number of Democrats joined Republicans in a 359-43 vote to table the motion and protect Johnson’s speakership.
Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) aligned with MTG and Massie. Eight republicans including Andy Biggs, Chip Roy, Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), Warren Davidson (R-Ohio), Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.), Barry Moore (R-Ala.) and Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) all voted to remove Johnson and create an unknown outcome, perhaps even a democrat speakership.
After the failed effort to remove him, Republican Speaker Mike Johnson spoke to the media.

These folks have become loose cannons, dangerous, out of control, smashing everything around them into bits.
Imagine an 8,000 lb iron cannon on a wheeled carriage in a crowded gun deck on a sailing ship in a heavy storm, and it breaks loose.....THAT is where the term came from. People were crippled and died trying to lash down a loose cannon, as it smashed everything, going in a different direction on each roll of the ship.

If Republicans cannot remove a traitor, who will they remove? There are 11 other Republicans that can do the Speaker job. Trump is not the go to person for personnel or vaccine recommendations. I read Trump is for the new FBI HQ's. I am not going in these directions ever.

Those who believe a far right conservative would be voted in to replace Johson are smoking opium.

oh shut it. the motion to vacate was done-- to do what it was meant to do:
expose eunuchparty rubbish and disrespect of law and order -in the house - for all america to see- and hear.
these horses' patoots sounded like a pack of howling drunks and fools who lost their football match,
with the slovenly pelousy slouching about, spilling drinks--yet another stumblebum.
who ever thought it was possible to be bold and brazen about one's cowardice, deceptions, ignorance
and utter lack of dignity.

Looks like Sundance has his tin foil hat on a little too tight today. Regardless, I'm adding him to my list of The Deep Swamp's useful idiots. FTA: "I do not see any way this effort to remove Mike Johnson would benefit candidate Donald Trump." Who cares? Democrats and their fellow travelers, like Johnson, need to be cleaned out always and everywhere.

This group seems to think that Congress operates on General Order instead of using the Continuing Resolution (CR) process since fiscal year 2007 when Sen. Harry Reid used it to protect Democrats from making difficult policy decisions.
They talk a lot about how things should operate like this and that, but they don't and haven't for over 15 years now.
Plus, they've squandered a majority down to 1 vote which has now enabled the Democrats to effectively run the House since there will always be enough Republicans who will want something the Democrats will give them.

Glad to see that the conspiratorial and paranoid Sundance is, for a change, writing a sensible article about the stupidity of vacating the speaker at this time. Spoiled only by his suggestion that Ron DeSantis is one of the few who would benefit from removing Johnson and having the Democrats takeover the House. Will his hatred of DeSantis ever be assuaged?

here's more chicanery--> for all the supporters of traitor johnson-- who's giving us this nonsensical sludge:
-HR 7109-gives all illegals [even current border jumping millions]---full representation in congress....and....
the electoral college...and... it passed - 206 yes /202 no .... w/ 11 gops not voting at all.
here's a sampling of the not voting against illegal voters: --hageman, luna, mccaul, mchenry ,sessions.
just these 5 could have stopped this lunacy. instead, everybody was afraid of a couple of whinging
backbencher pencil neck gop nobodys anxious to attack mtg in public.

it was impossible to suss out what was going on with this #7091 bill from what i read and heard:
-so here's a non-pro tip: only look at the yeas from the gop where all the normals reside.
forget the dem votes and non votes - it makes your head spin at exorcist speeds.
or dont look at all--it's so painful.

#11, H.R. 7109 does NOT give illegals full representation in Congress and the Electoral College. It was designed to alter census-taking by NOT counting illegals, thereby not including them in apportionment. It was a Republican bill that met defeat by the Democrats and the 11 cowardly Republicans who voted "present." "Traitor" Johnson promoted it and voted for it.

MTG and Massie are right about dumping this wuss Johnson, but this wasn’t the time to do it. Hopefully, Republicans will gain a larger House majority. Then they can get rid of this wimp!
