Kimberly Helmus still gets chills thinking about her first rage ritual.
Two-and-a-half years ago after her divorce, the cybersecurity engineer embarked on a retreat to Scotland with Mia Banducci − an author and self-described "Spiritual Fairy Godmother," better known online as Mia Magik.
As part of the retreat, Banducci held a rage ritual: a ceremony in which participants scream and beat large sticks on the ground in the woods. Participants are encouraged to think of people and experiences that have wronged them and to scream and swing the sticks for at least 20 minutes, or until they can no longer move their arms.

Apparently it has been a loooong tradition in Scotland, in Clavell's books the Taipan/Nobel house Straun Family has a "Shrieking Tree" where the people of the family would take their frustrations, griefs and anger...I had "anger issues" when I was younger and thought it sounded like a good Idea, found one in the woods nearby to use...have continued the tradition wherever I lived. Keeps me from taking anything out on others...and I do my grieving there as well, so that my morose/despondent demeanor doesn't give anyone else the sads...and keeps them from trying to be "Sympathetic...I'm not one who needs or appreciates "Pity". (empathy and sympathy are not the same thing)

How does that differ from their normal time spent in anti-Semitic pro-Hamas rallies?

I'm a companion of #7. I don't like to be around others when I get the "sads" or the "angries". Fortunately, I have my own forest and I work off my "angries" picking up the sticks and fallen limbs. This article has given me a great business idea. I can charge city Karens a bundle to do my winter clean-up work!

FTA: "When people do this and give themselves permission to release their anger, their capacity for joy actually expands..."
I somehow doubt that.
More likely, they then either run for office as Democrats and win, or go on to work at CNN or MSNBC as on-air commentators, and inflict their incoherent rage on the rest of us normals, who laugh at them.

I used to do a "rage ritual" so often many years ago that I ran out of energy,
when it was revealed to me how much of a useless endeavor it became,
now I've found the secret words that have cured all my internal Mount Vesuvius characteristics .... "so what" & "who cares"..... works every time
now, my life is so tranquil, although not quite serene, I have a hard time admonishing myself for the things I used to, psychologically, take a truncheon to my psyche for, literally, no reason at all

I was married a long time ago to a man who was horribly cruel, not only to me but to his family as well. We divorced and he never changed. He died alone, and for a long time I struggled to forgive him. I found that prayer and giving him over to the mercy of God took a huge weight from my soul and spirit. Rage won't work. Prayer will.

Wow. So much rage and anger.
May I suggest a different way? Pray to God, be humble, be grateful for the good things and even some of the bad things in your life because that is what makes you strong and who you are. Pray for strength, love and compassion. Pray to be released from the anger and resentment and Pray for the grace of forgiveness.
Just a thought...

What could go wrong with that? Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Sadly, people turn away, look the other way, or scoff at this kind of peace. I have found in my life there is no other kind of peace like this. . .

The conservative movement has generally failed to document and publicize the endless, recurring failure of applied Leftist ideas. This is another example.
The feminist movement made hay on the premise that women had a better solution to the world outside the domestic sphere. In point of fact, they didn't. Now they're thrashing about trying to make sense of their failure, which started with the inability to recognize human nature and how it functions outside the home.

Nothing makes them happy which is why they're angry. The idea that they've had drummed into their heads their entire life is that they are special. When the world disagrees with them, they get mad.
