MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump was a “low down” conman playing “boogeyman politics.”
Sharpton said, “He was the same guy that stood on television as president of the United States, and said it will be over in two weeks. Don’t worry about it. And then finally he told us to take bleach. So now we’re going – I think that the collective amnesia, that a lot of Americans are having, is the challenge that the Democrats have to put out there, say this is the guy that you voted out. Remember, now, he ran for re-election. You didn’t want him back again.

All seemed well on the British Airways flight from London to Auckland as it cruised high above the seas off Jakarta on the moonless night of June 24, 1982. But then came the announcement, the nightmare of every airline passenger.
'This is your Captain speaking,' said pilot Eric Moody. 'We have a small problem and all four engines have stopped. We are all doing our damnedest to get them working again. I trust you are not in too much distress.'
Surely one of the most remarkable examples of a stiff upper lip in British aviation history, it belied the fear and confusion on the flight deck

A Washington, D.C., jury convicted Rebecca Lavrenz of Falcon, Colorado, known on social media as the “J6 Praying Grandma,” of four federal misdemeanor charges Thursday related to her participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, incursion of the U.S. Capitol.

According to federal court documents, Lavrenz’s crimes were entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a restricted area, disorderly conduct in the Capitol Building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol.

Two of President Joe Biden’s flagship laws are pumping billions of dollars of taxpayer cash into states that will likely decide the winner of November’s presidential election, with much more money still up for grabs.
The 2021 bipartisan infrastructure package and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Biden’s massive climate bill, have routed more than $60 billion combined to Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona and Georgia, according to White House data. These states are widely considered to be the seven key swing states that will dictate whether Biden will secure a second term or if former President Donald Trump will return to the White House.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Americans overwhelmingly supported Ukraine--as they did with Israel after Oct. 7.
No wonder: Ukraine was surprise attacked by Russia, and Israel was by Hamas.
It seemed an easy binary of good versus evil: Both the attacked Ukraine and Israel are pro-Western. Both their attackers, anti-Western Russia and Hamas, are not.
Now everything is bifurcating. And the politics of the wars in America reflect incoherence.
Both Ukraine and Israel are portrayed in the media as supposedly bogging down in their counteroffensives.
More pro-Israel Republicans are troubled by Ukraine's strategy, or lack thereof, in an increasing Somme-like stalemate.
Yet more pro-Ukrainian Democrats are turning away from Israel

A Southwest plane came perilously close to hitting LaGuardia Airport's air traffic control tower.
Southwest Flight 147 from Nashville to New York veered off course when coming in for a landing on March 23 around 1 pm because of inclement weather. The plane circled the airport once and then swooped down as low as 300 feet, creating panic in the air traffic control tower.
In audio captured by LiveATC.net, air traffic control personnel can be heard shouting: 'Go around! Go around!' The plane was ordered to abort the landing and fly upward 2,000

Donald Trump’s “America First” doctrine encountered stormy weather in the community of American globalists who characterize it as a mix of nationalism, unilateralism, and xenophobia. The substantive disagreements could not be more explicit: globalists see American commitments as implicitly limitless and irreversible, and Trump, driven by effectiveness, not ideology, believes the existing commitments are not eternal and are limited by resources. Therefore, we must define our national interests to shape our commitments, not allow existing commitments to define our interests.
The “my country first” concept is not a new approach to international order. It originated in the 17th century with a Frenchman, Armand-Jean du Plessis, known as Cardinal de Richelieu.

Kennedy’s statement undercuts the Democratic Party’s effort to portray the 2024 election as a “defense of democracy” and a referendum on the so-called “insurrection,” which Democrats blame on former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy’s statement reads as follows: January 6 is one of the most polarizing topics on the political landscape. I am listening to people of diverse viewpoints on it in order to make sense of the event

President Trump’s lawyer John Eastman joined Emerald Robinson on The Absolute Truth on Thursday.
Eastman, a widely respected Constitutional attorney, was officially disbarred earlier this week after a California leftist judge ruled he should have his law license stripped for challenging the 2020 election.
Eastman on Thursday asked the judge to pause the disbarment ruling, citing massive legal fees.
Trump 2020 election lawyer John Eastman faced disbarment in California for ‘undermining democracy’ by trying to ‘overturn the presidential election.’
The January 6 Committee sent the feds after John Eastman because he dared to take action against the Democrats and their massive election fraud operation in 2020.

Late last year, the Spanish government fined 25 Spanish-flagged fishing ships that had been operating near Argentina's territorial waters.
The financial penalties were imposed because the vessels had illegally turned off the GPS-based automatic identification systems (AIS), which were transmitting their positions. This is often a sign that a vessel is engaged in illegal fishing. "It's estimated that illegal or unregulated fishing is as much as 20% of what's caught," says David Kroodsma, head of the research team at Global Fishing Watch.
Such illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing may catch as much as 26 million tonnes of fish every year, or one in every five fish.

On Thursday, RedState reported on one of the best takedowns of a pro-Hamas activist I've ever seen. During the exchange, Mosab Yousef, the son of Hamas co-founder Hassan Yousef, battled an American-accented representative of Students Allied for Freedom and Equality. He went so far as to accuse her of cosplaying her culture by wearing a keffiyeh. It was glorious.
Here's a bit of the transcript.
YOUSEF: Now we have the problem of the pro-Palestine who are actually giving Hamas cover. They are participants in the crime. In fact, since October 7th, I personally don't differentiate between Hamas and so-called Palestinians because, actually, there is no Palestinians. There are tribes.

Mandates, mandates, mandates; subsidy after subsidy. All of these cost money, and we're occasionally reminded of just how much. The Biden administration seems determined to shatter all the norms when it comes to unilaterally deciding that they know best what's good for us Americans and are willing to spend our money to those ends. Now we see the cost; the environmental rules alone implemented by this administration (without input from Congress) are projected to cost Americans more than $845 billion.
As if the fiat-currency dump fueling inflation wasn't enough already.

Look, Donald Trump wasn't my first choice for this one, either. I enjoyed his presidency, but like many who had supported him in the past, I'd grown weary of the unforced errors and the drama. True, most of the drama is being visited upon him by the insane Democrats, but it's drama all the same.
Admittedly, the thought of a Trump 47 Revenge Tour held great appeal for me. I had already become a huge fan of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, though, and really wanted to see him at the top of the presidential ballot this year. Alas, that was not to be.

OK, so maybe it’s an exaggeration, but the Biden administration has made such a push toward EVs, despite the high cost of ownership that puts them out of reach for millions of Americans. In recent weeks, the White House has issued mandates that intend to push more American families and companies into EVs, yet sales aren’t encouraging.

President Joe Biden’s new EV mandates will likely prove to be a sizable wealth transfer from rural red regions of America to urban blue sections, and to wealthy Democrats who reside in them, according to reports.
On March 20, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized its tailpipe emissions rules for the auto industry starting in 2027.
These rules are the strictest in history and will effectively force carmakers to have one-third of new car sales be plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) by 2027 and more than two-thirds by 2032.
This represents a dramatic increase from current EV sales, which were about 8 percent of the new car market in 2023.

One of my apartments was in walking distance of one, and I could buy a week's groceries for $20. Those halcyon days are long gone, not just for me and others, but for the iconic 99 Cents Only Store. It was finally the weight of inflation and the COVID pandemic that did them in.

A funny thing happened on our way to our all-electric future: reality.
I've written at length in recent weeks about Presidentish Joe Biden's hamfisted and wrongheaded EPA rules meant to force everybody into electric vehicles, whether EVs suit their needs or not. But maybe nothing to compare to Oliver Price's headline on Wednesday, asking "Is this the end of the EV?" Well, no. But we're still far, far away from the end of dino-burning engines — and likely to stay that way for far longer than the grifters in the EV industry and the autocrats in Washington (and several states, too) would have you believe.

Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) made a veiled reference to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg — who ignored calls to step down for years during former President Barack Obama’s tenure. She passed away in 2020, with former President Donald Trump choosing her successor. “I’m very respectful of Justice Sotomayor,” Blumenthal told NBC. “I have great admiration for her. But I think she really has to weigh the

Barron Trump looks like his father in a striking new picture showing the 6'7" teen towering over guests at Mar-a-Lago.
The 18-year-old cut a dashing figure as he posed up in a black suit, crisp white shirt and blue tie.
Barron was flanked in the image by steel magnate Justin Waller, who sported a plunging open collar on his shirt, as well as entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David.MMA fighter Colby Covington and Bo Loudon, son of conservative commentator Gina Loudon, rounded out the picture. All four men are also well known on social media and have massive followings.
Barron was even seen dwarfing 6'3" dad Donald Trump in another picture

President Trump’s lawyer John Eastman was officially disbarred this week after a judge ruled he should have his law license stripped for challenging the 2020 election.
Eastman on Thursday asked a California judge to pause the disbarment ruling, citing massive legal fees.

We recently received a Biden-Harris campaign fundraising email, and if this is the best pitch they can make, then Joe Biden deserves to lose, bigly. It’s full of lies. It’s completely disconnected from reality. Biden takes no responsibility for the nation’s current troubles, and offers absolutely no solutions.
The email begins “I know this message is long.” Except it’s not – it’s less than 430 words, which isn’t much for an email that promises to remind readers “of all the things we have been able to accomplish because of our victory in 2020.”
The next sentence is a flat-out lie.

Migrants camped out in Mexico say they want Joe Biden to win the November election - because Donald Trump will never let them into the United States if he gets back into the White House.
Hundreds of migrants are enduring the muddy, smelly encampment in Matamoros while they wait - for how long remains a question - for appointments with Customs and Border Protection.
But they all have one big worry that is out of their control: If they don't make it over the border by election day, they say they need Biden to prevail over Donald Trump - who has promised to crack down on the border.

Millennials – those born between between 1982 and 2000—comprise the largest American generation, and they’re approaching middle age. HireAHelper, a company that assists people in finding moving services, released its Millennial Migration study in March that revealed that fewer in the age group are relocating than in the past, but when they are, they’re ditching blue states like California, Illinois, and New York for greener pastures in red states like Texas, Florida, and Montana.
The first question HireAHelper asked was, why are Millennials mostly staying put? The reasons vary, but with out-of-control mortgage rates caused by Bidenflation, many of them can’t buy

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene aired speculative concerns regarding Speaker Mike Johnson’s recent political actions, suggesting a potential blackmail situation to explain what she perceives as a radical departure from his known conservative stances. [Snip] ... people are literally asking, is he blackmailed? [Snip] He completely changed who he was, funded the FBI, gave them a brand new building, fully funded the Department of Justice that is persecuting everyone on the right and actually targeting a presidential candidate for election this year. Literally trying to put him in jail for the rest of his life. We don’t know who Mike Johnson is anymore.”
