Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene aired speculative concerns regarding Speaker Mike Johnson’s recent political actions, suggesting a potential blackmail situation to explain what she perceives as a radical departure from his known conservative stances. [Snip] ... people are literally asking, is he blackmailed? [Snip] He completely changed who he was, funded the FBI, gave them a brand new building, fully funded the Department of Justice that is persecuting everyone on the right and actually targeting a presidential candidate for election this year. Literally trying to put him in jail for the rest of his life. We don’t know who Mike Johnson is anymore.”

Hmmmm.
I admit I had never considered blackmail. But it makes sense. Actually the ONLY thing that makes sense.
Perilous times.

#2~ As a devout Christian, being on the take is not very likely for this man. If there is “something” behind this change, some would suggest there is a consideration other than blackmail.

I think most in Washington are being blackmailed. That's why most Republicans are neutered. Hillary read everyone's FBI file. I figured she'd have a good use for that information.

#6, Then you explain it. We watch this happen time and time again. Good people go to Washington and once they are there do a 180. How do you lose your moral underpinnings that quickly? It would make anyone question what is happening.
At this time when the contrast between the right and left is so stark it is unimaginable that anyone could not understand the ramification of each vote. However, to have the Speaker just go off the rails is unconscionable. MTG is right, he has given the democrats everything they wanted. Was Johnson just pretending to be conservative and betrayed us? I doubt that was the case, but I know one thing, I got a terrible vibe when he had the meeting with Paul Ryan. What was that all about?! I believe if we knew a fraction of what was really going on behind the scenes in Washington DC, we would be devastated that such people could rise to such levels of prominence. I realize that MGT appears to be a bomb thrower but she is right so many times and her courage to speak out is admirable. The problem is that the rot is so endemic and deeply rooted that anyone exposing it looks like a kook. It has become normal. If we had men and women of integrity in Washington DC at all levels, this country would look very different. We now have a corrupt city filled with deep state operatives whose jobs are to manage the show and they are very good at it. They are in the business of preservation of a way of life they have created in order to make the will of the people irrelevant and whatever it takes for them to achieve it is whatever they will do. Seriously, do we even have a Constitutional Representative Republic? It certainly does not appear that way. When the people want one objective and your representatives impose another, that is tyranny.

#3 ~ I had an English Professor in College who in her North Texas Drawl, said "you know you can go to Hell for lying' just like you can for shootin' somebody"
If in fact, as you claim, he is a "Devout Christian"; Perhaps The "Elite Monsieur Johnson should re read the 20th Chapter of Exodus...especially the part about bearing false witness.

So...explain...
Five hundred and thirty five have had access to the J6 tapes.
Why has nothing been done for these people?
Why do we have profligate spending with no end for decades?
Why the endless committees with no results other than good photo ops?
Why the reach across the aisle always results in a poorer less free Americans?
How do you get elected with a net worth of thousands and wind up a millionaire?
Its a rigged game from start to finish.

I think he has been cowed by the Deep State. It takes a lot to stand up to the powers that be.
He just doesn't have the spine. And in his defense, hard to take a stand with a one vote majority surrounded by RINOs.

I'm always amazed at how absolutely obtuse the republican base can be. The base believes that by being in the majority, they should get everything they want with no compromise. Forgetting that the governing majority is a majority of ONE vote and that the majority is a coalition of Republicans who rarely stick together, unlike the democrats. It's just easier to blame the speaker.

When one's principles are flexible, one is easily bent over. Actually, I think it works like this: a well-meaning, but fatally naive person enters politics. Once they become prominent---and therefore a threat to the existing power structure---they are made an offer they can't refuse. It goes like this: take this carrot (payoff) or get the stick (exposure of criminal, or embarrassing info), Apparently, it works every time.

She is probably right but this may be not the time for such talk. We have already lost almost all of our super slim majority. I dont have the answer, but I dont think speaker hassem is it and we are very close to that already.

Of course he is being blackmailed. The CIA has something on everyone. Thats what Epstein was all about. He was probably replaced before he didnt kill himself.
I'm about done with people who wear their religion on their sleeves. It appears they are every bit as corruptible as everyone else, they just do it with a home made halo on their heads.

Yeah, I don't know either what is behind the curtain when trying to understand Speaker Johnson's actions. But also keep in mind that Steve Scalise is the pubbie's House majority leader and Hakeem Jeffries is the dims' minority leader. So whatever deals Scalise brings to Johnson's level already favors Jeffries and the dims. So, it appears that the rot is deep within the pubbie House caucus.
All I know is if the pubbie caucus manages to p'off Johnson and he resigns, the pubbies lose control of the House thanks to Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin who decided to stick to Trump and his fellow pubbies by resigning later this month. Think about that for a minute given the various corruption investigations against the biden crime family. The dims would stop these investigations in a New York minute and biden the cheater and his druggie son Hunter would skate. And the Great Election Fraud of 2024 can be put into motion.

Matt Gaetz gave an interview on Real America 3 days ago. He has Personal Knowledge that Republican congressmen are being bought off or blackmailed to resign and flip the majority to the Democrats.

I believe that many congress people, and the SC, and judges, AG's and many others that have anything to do with this government are being blackmailed. I would have more respect for these people if they all came forward and admitted this. Give the reason, but spill the beans. Only way to stop this. Then let the people decide . most likely those being blackmailed were set up. Get the truth out there. Stop this now. would be a huge mess, but it would stop the corruption
But, this is just my opinion.

It is distressing that Marjory Taylor Green and Matt Gaetz are adopting the tactics of the Democrats by accusing their enemies of malfeasance without an iota of evidence. One might think that both these loud mouths are working for Hakeem Jeffries. Certainly they are working to end Republican control of the House.

I believe we had a clear majority in the House and Senate from 2017 - 2019 and thanks to Leader Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell - not much was accomplished. Certainly not funding the Wall, failed to repeal Obamacare, etc. No, Republicans whether they have a one person majority or a sizable majority - just do not want to respect the desires of their constituents and run away from yielding power.

What 21 said. Republicans have acquiesced to democrats at too many critical junctures when they had a majority. If they’d fought for the things they said they would when they campaigned, Gaetz and MTG wouldn’t even be a factor. The term “Swamp” stuck for a reason.

I'm beginning to think that MTG is a stealth democrat. She correctly surmised that by making loud MAGA-themed noises, she would enjoy the unquestioning support of a majority of Trump supporters, but looking closely at what she advocates, she's off on her own tangent. She is primarily a bomb thrower, with no significant legislative accomplishments. Has Trump come out and called for defunding the FBI and DOJ - or does Trump plan on major reforms pushing at FBI, DOJ, DoD, and DHS? I do not trust MTG and would cringe to see her in the House Speaker position. Perhaps what is going on with Johnson is that the Speaker is reverting back to the mean, like Speaker McCarthy did, after the ultra-extreme partisanship of Pelosi's tenure. The mean, which includes compromise, made America great for al most 250 years. During those two and a half centuries, the political pendulum has never remained pegged to one side or the other for very long. Our Constitution, you know, the one many of us swore to protect and defend, has had the effect of preventing single party rule in perpetuity. Of course, the mass importation of tens of millions of third worlders may have changed that calculus going forward.

Back when J Edgar Hoover was FBI Director, he used the FBI Resources to dig up dirt on ALL Politicians and their staff's. He used it very effectively to force Congress to give him whatever he wanted...fast forward...Hitlery Clintoon knew this and did the exact thing...remember the FBI FILES?
Don't think this doesn't still go on....on Steroids. Very few people in Congress have squeaky clean pasts and all it takes is one item that can be used to destroy them to force them to VOTE the "Right Way". What do we think the DEEP STATE is doing behind the scenes...Guess what, They are all as Crooked as they come and if you're not PART of that then you ARE A TARGET!
