Millennials – those born between between 1982 and 2000—comprise the largest American generation, and they’re approaching middle age. HireAHelper, a company that assists people in finding moving services, released its Millennial Migration study in March that revealed that fewer in the age group are relocating than in the past, but when they are, they’re ditching blue states like California, Illinois, and New York for greener pastures in red states like Texas, Florida, and Montana. The first question HireAHelper asked was, why are Millennials mostly staying put? The reasons vary, but with out-of-control mortgage rates caused by Bidenflation, many of them can’t buy

Notice how two of the most populated states in the union were targeted to become third world countries, New York and California (Los Angeles and San Francisco.)

If you have a five year old 3.75% mortgage, or no mortgage, and go to a new place to buy a the 7.38% for today's 30 year loans....that massively increases the monthly payment and, while most folks are blissfully ignoring the total loan payout, that goes up massively, too. While often ignored, the total payout gouges a chunk out of your retirement account, a terrible problem. Example $250K loan, at 3.75% for 30 years gets a monthly payment of $1.158, total payout over the life of the loan of $417K. For today's 7.38% loans, for $250K, 30 years, the monthly payment jumps to $1,728, an increase of $570/month, or about a 50% increase in monthly payment. That's a killer. And, the total over the life of the loan, often ignored, is about $622K, so that's $205,000 additional lost dollars that can't go towards the retirement investments. Today's loans are just prohibitive for many people for many homes.

I remember when I was in my early 20's, back when Jimmy Carter was president, home mortgage rates were in the low 20's. These kids haven't seen anything yet! If couples could swing a big down payment (often with help from their parents), they could take over the existing low-percentage mortgage. All kinds of different side deals were being made with home sellers who really needed to move.

This generation supports liberals like crazy and their policies they voted for made their states unbearable to live in. They are not smart enough to have seen the outcomes of their votes. This is what you get folks when you vote for people who have you focus on what pronouns to use for 0.01%, of the population mythical racism and third term abortion rights. Your ruined the blue states so stay there and live with it. Do not bring your poisonous mind set to the red states that know better. You are not welcome.

Our four millennial kids (born 1988-1994) were all born and raised in SoCal. They all migrated to the Boise area between 2015-2021. We followed them. They just did not see themselves having the same opportunities my wife and I had if they stayed in CA. And they didn’t want to raise their kids there. They’re all doing quite well here. It’s tragic what’s become of CA. And it’s all self-inflicted.

HOUSTON, Texas — A six-month investigation led to a series of raids on Mexican cartel-connected chop shops in the Houston metroplex this week. The raids led to the seizure of more than $1 million in stolen vehicles. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted photos on X showing the chop-shop operations located on Leago, Yale, and Gulf Bank streets. The auto-theft ring has “possible ties to a cartel,” the sheriff stated. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were more direct in tying the operation, run by three Mexican nationals to the narco-terrorist organization Cartel Jalisco New Generation, according to a report by the New York Post. ICE officials identified

Here in the Susitna Valley, when it's time to vote, we proceed on Election Day to our local community center, where we present our IDs, get checked off the voting roll, sign in, and then fill out a paper ballot. Those paper ballots are placed in a box and counted by humans. Now, granted, that system works well here, where our little rural community can expect fewer than 2,000 voters most years. Many states and municipalities across the land have, however, resorted to mail-in ballots. It's easy to imagine many ways in which this system is fraught, but now a major overhaul of the U.S. Postal Service - the timing

Vermont police are investigating a fire at Independent Senator Bernie Sanders’s office as a suspected arson attack. A man can be seen on surveillance footage entering the vestibule of the office before spraying an apparent accelerant on the entrance door, according to CNN. “He then lit the accelerant and fled,” police said. “A significant fire engulfed the door and part of the vestibule, impeding the egress of staff members who were working in the office and endangering their lives.” First responders arrived at the office around 10:45 a.m. on Friday. No one was injured in the suspected attack, however, there was damage from the fire set to the door

Remember when the Biden administration announced that it would place a ban on menthol cigarettes? Well, it appears the White House could be close to making such a prohibition a reality. The ban is supposedly, and racistly, intended to save black people from themselves, given that menthol cigarettes are popular among African American smokers. However, there are reasons to speculate that President Joe Biden could be slow-walking the process for political reasons. The proposed prohibition on menthol smokes was introduced about two years ago and was met with criticism from folks on the left and the right. The regulations, which would broadly ban the product, were first

Washington — The US is on high alert and actively preparing for a “significant” attack that could come as soon as within the next week by Iran targeting Israeli or American assets in the region in response to Monday’s Israeli strike in Damascus that killed top Iranian commanders, a senior administration official tells CNN. Senior US officials currently believe that an attack by Iran is “inevitable” – a view shared by their Israeli counterparts, that official said. The two governments are furiously working to get in position ahead of what is to come, as they anticipate that Iran’s attack could unfold in a number of different ways – and that both

One of the things that frustrated me about Trump’s (first?) term was his seeming complete indifference to #TheResistance that manifested before he even took office. Unelected bureaucrats working in the ridiculously invasive executive branch’s many agencies, publicly declared war on him, and he . . . well, he did nothing. Until the final year of his presidency when he seemed to finally take aim at the problem in his own branch of government–we can call it the deep state, the resistance, the entrenched bureaucrats who oversee far too much policy in America and who are, apparently, answerable to no one. Not the voter, not the president. So then-president Trump launched
