The Israeli military released the results of an investigation into its unintentional missile strikes on seven World Central Kitchen employees in Gaza, concluding that the incident “should not have occurred” and dismissing two officers who were involved in the botched operation.
“Those who approved the strike were convinced that they were targeting armed Hamas operatives and not WCK employees,” the Israel Defense Forces said Friday in a statement. “The strike on the aid vehicles is a grave mistake stemming from a serious failure due to a mistaken identification, errors in decision-making, and an attack contrary to the Standard Operating Procedures.”

What about dismissals over the American drone strike that killed an innocent family of 10 in aftermath of Biden’s disastrous withdrawal? There must be “an ongoing investigation.”

What a difference between the IDF and the generals in our military who get promoted when they screw up.

If the sides were reversed, the Hamas officers would have been celebrated and rewarded.

More Kabuki and crocodile tears. The officers' mistake was killing too many white folks in one go (well, three actually) rather than just brown people. And employees of someone with influence in DC (can he really be a best bud of Blinken?!). Appears the culprits went off the reservation thereby embarrassing Bibi. Chances are that once the dust settles or something else crops up, they'll be forgiven and rewarded.

I guess the "Aid Workers" didn't know they were making themselves a target by being there.

I wonder if the fact that Hamas uses hospitals to hide their operations and that UN employees are working with Hamas had anything to do with it?

I wouldn't be so sure that an actual mistake was made. The WCK may be a cover for Hamas, like the AP media types who participated in the Oct 7 attack.

Don't recall seeing overly large letters on the vehicle to identify it. I guess the two dismissed were determined to be scape goats from higher ups. Perhaps these were just ceremonial dismissals to appease the media and the idiots in the White House.

Give the Officers 2 weeks off then promote them and put them back to work.

And, now they will have timid officers and Hamas terrorists will get away.

Only three were actual "Aid Workers", one was the local Palestinian driver, three were armed "Soldier of Fortune" body guards, that also provided the two armored vehicles, one of the major "products" their Company, Solace Global provides is real time/pinpoint location tracking for their corporate protection clients, in danger zones they usually collaborate with a "Friendly" Govt. They obviously did not even notify Isreal about their movements, travel plans or intentions....while the vehicles appear to have roof stickers, they were/are not IR reflective, nor any standard Redcross/Red crescent/Press/UN/NGO/Observer configuration or style. And in the middle of the night not visible. Israel hit the lead armored car first...armed men then ran to the second armored car...which was then targeted, finally they all ran to the 3rd vehicle...and un armored, club cap pickup truck and IT was hit. NONE of the vehicles were carrying relief supplies. The convoy was likely targeted because of direct cell phone communications with known HAMAS operatives/controllers...and the hits were VERY precise, non explosive ordinance.

Before anyone gets brutal on those Israeli officers... compare ours, won't you? Our "Ring Knockers" gave Afghanistan back to the Taliban, along with billions in materials of war, without ever registering any public remorse over the 2,402 Americans who gave their lives freeing it. The families who lost loved ones are waiting for just ONE big shot General/Admiral to crawl forward and admit they were too cowardly to stand up to the Moron in Chief and, "put it all on the line," like those we have lost had done.

Okay, the placation has been made for an honest mistake. Does this open the door for Joe Biden to resign and apologize for the hundreds of people he killed by pulling the troops out of Afghanistan too early? That wasn't an honest mistake, that was panicked stupidity by an incompetent CIC.

Smart move...now the Hamas terrorist and the squad have nothing to complain about....Israel took action and proved themselves worthy of our support....GO Israel...get the job done....NOW let's see the hostages on camera and then WE'll talk...I believe there are still 134 hostages left...so let's see them and then WE'll talk...
