A federal court has made a critical ruling related to the Second Amendment and the concept of self-defense. The decision strikes at the heart of California laws intended to limit one’s ability to protect themselves against violent criminals. Judge Roger Benitez handed down a ruling in the case of Fouts v. Bonta on Friday, striking down a ban on citizens possessing or carrying billy clubs and other forms of less lethal weaponry. In his decision, Benitez questioned the legality of the statute, which criminalized Californians simply for owning a billy club, a tool that is commonly used by members of law enforcement, but is also

The Democrats want a monopoly on weapons. More than they want justice or for the weak to escape murder.

Ruling mirrors the Hawaii ruling on knives.

under this ruling...I would suggest a Sap, rather than a large baron.
Swing at hard spots, knees, elbows, ankles, wristbones, top of the shoulder, low on the spine...Head.
A sap to the ear is like a lightning strike.

I'd still rather have a handgun.
But, Kansas recognized that any and all knives are also covered arms under the 2nd Amendment and repealed all knife laws some years ago. I have seen a few folks openly carrying sheath knives, and you'd be legal to carry a sword here, if you chose. It would be a bad weapon in a world with lots of handguns....just ask that big Arab dude in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" about bringing a sword to a gunfight.

Newscom is assisting Joey in getting rid of citizens in favor of illegals. Why else does Joey favor them to the detriment of citizens. And this jerk wants to be president? No thanks. Joey has made the country the most communistic ever.

Back in the sixties when I was in construction we had pickaxe handles in our vehicles. Because thay were tools not weapons.

Back in my cop days billy clubs were unauthorized for us to carry. There were no restrictions on our flashlights, however. I had a five cell mag-light. The captain tried to jack me up over it one night, but a week later he had one.

And it was explained to me why cops hold it by the beam end when examining your license. So when you clock some punk with it you don't break the head off the flashlight. The butt end's like a pipe.

Poster #8 - - Your mention of pick-axe handles reminds me of Lester Maddox - - the former Georgia governor - - who owned a restaurant called the Pick-Rick - - which featured pick-axe handles in the front entrance.
The name comes from the expression - - "You pick 'em - - We rick 'em" - - meaning choose the steak you want - - and we'll barbecue it for you. Lester also encouraged his customers to use the pick-axe handles on miscreants - - something we could use more of nowadays.

There are many ways to defeat government stupidity, I mean other than voting the right people in. Carry a cane with some extra weight inserted in the bottom and walk with a limp. Enhance your umbrella. I remember a line from a long-forgotten book, "a good club will defeat a knife any day." Purely personal preference of course. My favorite "legal" weapon is a small aluminum ball bat carried in the back seat beside a Spalding glove and a softball. No judge could spin that into a weapon.

Judge Benitez has been doing a good job in these matters. I think the 9th will overturn it, though.

Apropos #13. I have a book about cane fighting. To someone familiar with it, a cane can actually be lethal. I have to use a cane now in my old age and decrepitude so have several. One is leaded and two have handles that can split a skull. And, per #9, I had a friend in the hardware business who sold a lot of big flashlights to cops. They didn’t use them to light their way to the outdoor privy either...

A victory is a victory...even in California...but...it makes one wonder....why are the rats so worried about citizens protecting themselves...they want Americans defenseless against WHAT?...a coming revolution by the illegal aliens who number in the millions?...could be that is their plan...

When the weather is bad, I usually carry a small umbrella that fits in my purse. I guess I should get in the habit of carrying a long umbrella.

A lot of heads need to be cracked among the lawless running amok in our society (yes, feral black thugs in particular). I support the use of billy clubs.
